Rhodes took a deep breath as he sat in the cockpit of the King Joe. This ti, the invasion of the Hive Fleet had been completely thwarted by him.
With the destruction of the Hive Mothership, the swarms below would no longer receive reinforcents, nor would they have any command system.
Rhodes used the Pedan ship to store King Joe inside, then entered this brand-new spaceship. Before the upgrade, he had already transferred all backup equipnt from the old ship into the King Joe. With this upgrade, the Pedan ship had refreshed a new wave of equipnt again.
This spaceship was as tall as several stories, with a total of five levels. The top level was the command room, which had ten pilot seats—one for the captain, four for adjutants, and one for the vice-captain. Both the captain and vice-captain had a teleportation bracelet, bringing Rhodes' total number of teleportation bracelets to four.
The second level was the soldier and rest area, the third was the storage area, and the fourth was the miscellaneous goods area along with a warehouse. The fifth and final level had beco a massive external hangar, capable of storing a standard-sized King Joe or using a tractor beam to directly pull in a spaceship no larger than 60 ters.
Now, just the soldier capacity of this spaceship had expanded to a thousand-man scale. The refreshed equipnt had also been collected by Rhodes one by one. With this batch of new gear combined with the existing arsenal, there was enough to arm a two-thousand-man army.
After touring the spaceship, Rhodes began taking inventory of his gains. Four Hive Motherships had been destroyed, earning him over 80,000 system credits.
This was the real highlight! Now, Rhodes was considering how to spend these system credits.
First, drawing a new monster was a must. As for strengthening King Joe, Rhodes debated whether to push it to its ultimate form.
It would only take a few more points to max out King Joe's tal armor, and with a bit more, he could upgrade the main cannon to its final form. The total cost was still being calculated.
Besides that, he could also choose to upgrade the Pedan spaceship. However, since this ship was already sufficient for his needs, he wasn't in a hurry to upgrade it.
After so thought, Rhodes decided to use a portion of his system credits to imdiately push King Joe to its full potential.
However, this upgrade had to be perford on the ground, in front of all humanity, to showcase the power of this miracle!
For now, he would use 50,000 points for a new monster draw. This ti, instead of specifying a chanical monster, he chose to specify a space monster.
Currently, he has three fragnts of Bemstar. Rhodes was eager to summon this massive cosmic beast—the Super Space Cute Bird.
The system store was still in its initial stage, and it would take 1,000,000 points to upgrade it to the next level. The next stage should unlock stronger monsters.
The road ahead was still long! He had to find more trouble with the Tyranid bugs or perhaps try hunting down so Orks and Chaos Demons.
With 50,000 system credits, Rhodes gained 55 draws. A golden glow burst from the system store as the lottery machine spun rapidly, spitting out monster fragnts one after another.
(From now on, monster fragnts won't be listed one by one. Instead, I'll directly tell you what monsters were obtained, or I might dedicate a separate chapter to listing the protagonist's current monster fragnts.)
After 55 draws targeting space monsters, Rhodes obtained six more Bemstar fragnts. Along with various weak monsters and the previous three fragnts, he now had nine Bemstar fragnts.
He only needed to fuse fragnts from ten weaker monsters to complete the summoning.
Aside from the Bemstar fragnts, Rhodes received a surprise in this draw.
There was an extrely low probability that the system store would offer sothing other than monster fragnts. This ti, it gave Rhodes an incredible item—
A massive book, about six ters tall, five ters wide, and over four ters thick.
Strange symbols were drawn on its surface. Such a colossal book was ant for giant cosmic beings!
This thing couldn't possibly pass as a relic from humanity's Golden Age of Civilization—after all, humans wouldn't use such enormous books for records.
With his current strength, Rhodes easily opened the massive book. Inside, he saw strange runes, special synthesis formulas, and even anatomical diagrams of dissected monsters.
From the system, Rhodrd learned that this book was called the Yapool Experintal Notes. It contained records of ultra-beasts, including synthesis formulas.
No way! Yapool's ultra-beast synthesis formulas?
This… this was an absolute treasure! A super-powerful treasure!
Ultra-beasts created by Yapool were undoubtedly capable of overwhelming ordinary monsters in terms of raw strength.
Their combat power depended on the synthesis materials used. Considering the Warhamr 40K universe, there were plenty of potential materials available—
Orks, black-skinned Tyranids, white-skinned Tyranids, Necrons, and even Space Marines.
Or, if he was bold enough, even Chaos Space Marines could be used as synthesis materials!
Rhodes excitedly flipped through the Yapool Notes—then realized he couldn't understand a damn thing.
Sure, as the book's owner, he could comprehend the alien text.
But the problem was, he had no idea how to interpret flesh synthesis formulas, interdinsional energy extraction equations, cosmic monster biological data, or genetic sequences.
Damn it! If only I had drawn a Yapool directly—then the ultra-beast synthesis formulas would be mine for the taking!
But while Yapool could create powerful ultra-beasts, what Rhodes needed for a personal power-up was still Bemstar.
Moreover, summoning Yapool required upgrading the system store, and there wasn't even a Summon Cosmic Being option yet.
Forget it! He'd figure out how to draw a Yapool later.
Even though he couldn't understand the book, that didn't an no one in the Warhamr 40K universe could!
The bio-engineers in Warhamr 40K were quite capable—for example, that old apothecary.
But convincing him to work on this seed unlikely. That guy's personality suggested he wouldn't be interested.
Alternatively, there was an even more advanced group—the Haemonculi of the Dark Eldar.
Even the old apothecary had traveled to the Dark Eldar capital, Commorragh, to study their twisted dical techniques.
Or perhaps Belisarius Cawl, the mastermind behind the Primaris Space Marines, could decipher it.
Wait! I forgot one key expert in this field.
The Emperor of Mankind himself!
In biological engineering and genetic science, the Emperor was an absolute top-tier expert in the universe.
After all, he created the Primarchs, the Space Marines, the Thunder Warriors, and the Custodians!
