A streamlined, oval-shaped shuttle materialized before the Emperor and his companions with the silent grace of advanced technology. The hatch split open with chanical precision, and a beautiful woman in military uniform erged alongside several soldiers in formation.
Valdor stared intently at the woman, ready to act without hesitation if she showed any hostility towards the Emperor.
The woman bowed respectfully to Valdor, "Lord Valdor, please put aside your hostility towards us."
Valdor frowned when he heard her address him by na. He checked his perfect mory with thodical precision. He confird that he had never t this woman before.
"Who are you? How do you know my na?"
"My na is Noy, and I co from 11 million years in the future. In the future, I know you, the Emperor, and Mr. Raven," Noy said, taking out a golden device crafted from unknown materials.
"This was given to by Mr. Raven from the future. He said that if you saw this, you would believe ."
After pressing the activation control, streams of coherent light shot out from one end of the device. The light beams danced like luminous spirits, outlining a perfect holographic projection of Raven.
"Big Guy, Big Corn Cob, stop being so wishy-washy, hurry up and follow Noy."
Valdor's pupils slightly widened when he saw the projection. Raven had been with them ever since he entered this universe. What was the deal with the projection in her hand?
"You are Noy Lambent??"
Raven appeared before Noy with characteristic suddenness.
He naturally knew who Noy was.
Eternity, under the guise of benefiting humanity, constantly used ti technology to alter reality, hindering humanity's developnt of aerospace technology.
Such insidious actions prevented humanity from leaving their ho planet for countless millennia.
When humanity finally ventured into the void between stars, they discovered they were too late.
All-star systems had already been occupied by other races, alien civilizations that had claid the galaxy while humanity remained trapped in temporal stasis.
Without sufficient resources, humanity didn't even have the qualifications to wage war and could only retreat to their ho planet in defeat.
Realizing they couldn't reach the stars, humanity then went extinct in despair.
In the original tiline, future humanity 11 million years hence also developed ti technology.
However, they only observed the past and refrained from interfering with it or the future. After encountering several instances of reality disturbances, they realized the problem.
After observation and calculation, they identified the culprit as Eternity. They also realized that Eternity had beco a cancerous tumor hindering the developnt of human civilization.
To change humanity's fate of extinction, future humanity decided to destroy Eternity.
Noy was a crucial link in the plan to destroy Eternity. She was arranged to fall in love with a ti technician nad Harlan.
The reason for this was that the ergence of Eternity involved complex temporal causality loops that defied conventional understanding.
Marson, who created the first ti-field, was initially nad Brinsley Sheridan Cooper. He was not from the 24th century but was an Eternal from the 78th century.
Eternity sent him to the 24th century to teach a scientist nad Vico Marson specific techniques.
During this process, Marson suddenly died. Cooper had no choice but to impersonate Vico Marson.
He built the ti-field machine in the 24th century, guiding humanity to develop an interest in spaceti technology. Then he developed mathematics, deduced ti equations, and ford the causal chain that made the existence of Eternity inevitable.
In fact, in true history, Cooper was Marson. The high-ranking officials of Eternity were aware of this.
They secretly guided Cooper, arranging everything for him, ensuring he t all the conditions to beco the Marson of history.
Harlan, in this causal chain, was responsible for teaching Cooper the true history and sending him to the 24th century.
Noy's mission was to make Harlan fall in love with her, use him to send Cooper to other centuries, sever the causal chain of Eternity's existence, and promote the developnt of nuclear energy for humanity.
This way, humanity would go to the stars instead of being trapped on Terra.
Noy saw Raven and bowed to him.
"Respected Lord Raven, may fries and ketchup always be with you."
"You know ?" Raven asked.
"Of course, Mr. Raven, every mber of the Ti Bureau knows your na and your great deeds."
"You are the Emperor's guide and redeer. Without you, there would be no Emperor, no Empire. You are the only one."
Raven winked at the Emperor and Valdor, showing a triumphant expression.
"Did you hear that, Big Guy, Big Corn Cob?"
Valdor turned to Noy, ignoring the endlessly thick-skinned Raven.
"Noy? Who sent you?"
Noy pointed at Raven, "Mr. Raven sent back to complete the causal loop."
Ah! !
Raven's eyes widened. Just as he was about to ask for the full story, he saw Noy continue to play the recording.
"Also, past , don't ask so many questions."
"Hurry up, get out of here quickly, be careful not to get caught and made into spicy raven's head."
Raven: "."
He turned to complain to the Emperor and Valdor.
"Why is future so an? It makes want to punch him."
"Present you is also an," Valdor added, "Honestly, sotis, I really want to punch you too."
Raven looked at the Emperor, "Big Guy, how about we arrange for Big Corn Cob to go back to Terra to guard the pond?!"
Valdor: "."
I was just agreeing with you... And now I have to go back to Terra to guard the pond!!
How infuriating.
Serving a king is like serving a tiger, fine.
Serving a raven is also like serving a tiger, right?
At this mont, ripples once again surged in the surrounding space, and gleaming tal spheres appeared one by one.
The hatches opened, and soldiers in various styles of armor poured out, each piece of equipnt representing different centuries of technological advancent.
"Kill the tyrant."
"Protect Eternity."
They shouted slogans, their voices filled with madness. Wielding various weapons, they unleashed a barrage of bullets and energy beams at the Emperor and Valdor.
"177th Century Delta Force."
"255th Century Hell Vanguard."
"Has Eternity gone mad? If they keep this up, the entire spaceti will collapse."
The shuttle behind her automatically activated its protective field. A faint light barrier appeared, blocking the incoming bullets and energy beams.
"Hurry up and go; those people from Eternity have gone crazy."
Noy told the Emperor and Valdor to enter the spaceti shuttle, preparing to take them out of this spaceti.
The interior design of the shuttle was quite futuristic, constructed from shiny, smooth silver-white tal that glead with inner light. Data interfaces floated in the air, displaying complex code and data curves. There were observation windows on both sides of the shuttle, through which they could see the raging enemies outside.
"Is this a spaceship?" Raven asked.
"No, this is a ti machine that travels through ti," Noy explained.
She sat in the shuttle's control seat, set the control paraters on the glowing screen, and then pushed the sleek, smooth joystick. A hum sounded, and the shuttle was enveloped by a peculiar ti field.
It didn't produce any displacent.
However, the scene outside the observation window changed.
The surrounding space rapidly warped, then lted into a colorful, shifting, kaleidoscopic space.
"A bit nauseating," Valdor said, "We're clearly not moving."
"No, we are moving," the Emperor said, "Not spatial movent, but movent on the scale of ti."
Noy nodded, "We are heading to 11 million years later, where Eternity cannot reach."
Half an hour later, the humming sound of the shuttle gradually diminished.
The scene outside the observation window also changed accordingly.
The colorful, shifting, kaleidoscopic space disappeared, replaced by a futuristic reality space.
The original plaza was gone.
Magnificent towering buildings, reaching into the clouds, appeared before them. Streamlined flying vehicles shuttled between the buildings. Looking up, they could even see the lights of a magnificent orbital space station and the silhouettes of giant starships.
Clearly, humanity, 11 million years in the future, had ventured into space.
"My mission ends once I deliver you here," Noy said, "From now on, it's up to you."
"What should we do?" Valdor asked.
Noy said, "Once you go down, the Ti Bureau will detect an anomaly and send a special operations team to apprehend you."
"You must negotiate peacefully, avoid conflict, and say you have important matters to discuss with the Ti Bureau's high-ranking officials."
"Once they arrive, you must persuade them to abandon their original plan and instead establish the Human Empire, wage war against Eternity, and truly lead humanity into the stars and the future."
"And you? Where are you going?" Raven asked.
"Back to your future selves," Noy said, "And here's sothing for you."
Noy took out an exquisitely crafted silver-white pendant and hung it around Raven's neck.
"This was left to by my mother. If my past self doesn't believe you, give this to her."
The hatch opened.
The Emperor and Valdor stepped out.
"Good luck, Mr. Raven. See you in the future." Noy waved goodbye, then pushed the joystick.
The space around the shuttle shimred and warped, and then it disappeared.
Raven looked around, "Will a special operations team from the Ti Bureau really co to apprehend us?"
No sooner had the words left his mouth than several hovering combat vehicles flew from the distance, circling above their heads.
More than a dozen soldiers in high-tech battle armor leaped down, surrounding them.
"Ti smugglers, you are surrounded! Imdiately put down your weapons, or we will use force according to the law."
