Qiu Ye stared straight ahead, seemingly unaware of Tang Mubei, and looked directly at those shirtless n.
"Tsk tsk, now the gangsters in the streets are trending towards going shirtless, only wearing underwear?" Qiu Ye crossed her arms, adopting a lazy posture and mocked, "We sure have learned sothing new this ti."
"Pfft!" Guangzi beside Qiu Ye couldn’t help but laugh out loud, while the other detectives stifled their laughter.
Tang Mubei lowered his eyes slightly, calmly walking over from the other side, standing aside to show he wasn’t part of that group, neither mixed with gangsters nor shirtless.
"Hey, we’re on duty now, everyone be serious."
"Yes, boss!" The detectives responded loudly and in unison.
Nie Rong looked at the sudden appearance of the group of detectives, feeling utterly frustrated.
"Officer Qiu, what is the aning of this?" Nie Rong asked coldly, speaking through gritted teeth.
Qiu Ye brought these people here, completely ruining her plans! She was beyond furious.
Upon Nie Rong’s words, Qiu Ye looked over to her, "Oh, isn’t this Miss Nie? Why are you here to join the fun?"
Nie Rong sneered, "Officer Qiu, what is the aning of bringing people to my territory?"
"Your territory?" Qiu Ye seed very surprised, "Oh, I’m truly sorry, I didn’t know it was your territory, Miss Nie. I just received a report about a kidnapping, so I brought people along. If I’ve offended you, I hope for your understanding."
Though Qiu Ye spoke pleasantly, her expression didn’t match her words at all.
"Is this the attitude you want to understand?"
"Otherwise, what attitude does Miss Nie want? I haven’t asked you yet, what’s going on with the kidnapping on your territory?"
"Who told you soone was kidnapped, how co I don’t know?"
Tang Mubei spoke up, "Miss Nie, your talent for lying with a straight face is unmatched."
Qiu Ye said, "Miss Nie claims to not know about the kidnapping, then why are you present at the kidnapping scene? Miss Nie, surely you’re not here to play with these... uh, n who only wear underwear?"
Everybody understood the implication in Qiu Ye’s words.
Guangzi couldn’t hold back his laughter again, "Boss, Miss Nie is really impressive, a woman fighting four n, quite remarkable!"
The detectives struggled to suppress their laughter.
Qiu Ye feigned a stern reprimand, "Be serious."
The detectives pretended to be serious.
Nie Rong’s face twisted from pale to flush, even the four expressionless n couldn’t help but frown.
"Officer Qiu, you are slandering , I can file a complaint against you."
"Miss Nie is welco to file a complaint anyti, but now, I must kindly ask Miss Nie and the four gentlen to accompany to the police station and explain the kidnapping incident today. Guangzi, take them away."
"Yes, boss." Guangzi responded, calling a few brothers to step forward and arrest them.
Nie Rong shouted coldly, "Qiu Ye, dare you arrest , believe it or not, I’ll make sure you lose your job!"
"If Miss Nie has the ability to make lose my job, I have nothing to say. But now that I’m still in my position, I must carry out my duties, whatever needs to be said, let’s discuss it at the police station. Take them away!"
Guangzi and several detectives advanced. Nie Rong and the four n initially intended to resist but dared not act rashly when faced with the pointed guns.
Nie Rong gritted her teeth, "Qiu Ye, just you wait."
"I’ll be waiting," Qiu Ye responded with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, then said, "Alright, brothers, wrap it up."
"Got it."
The detectives escorted Nie Rong and the five others out of the warehouse and into the car. Qiu Ye walked at the back, with Tang Mubei coming up beside her.
This ti, before Tang Mubei could speak first, Qiu Ye initiated, "When I was coming, I saw a man carrying soone into a car. Was that the kidnapped person?"
Tang Mubei was montarily unresponsive as Qiu Ye took the initiative to speak to him, only nodding slowly once Qiu Ye gave him a questioning look.
"Yes, my friend was injured."
Qiu Ye was silent for a mont, then asked, "Is your friend seriously hurt? Can they co to the station to give a statent?"
"I’m afraid not, she was stabbed in the abdon, and we’re not sure what kind of torture she endured before we arrived. She’s now lost a lot of blood. My older brother should already be at the hospital; we’ll have to see what the doctor says."
Qiu Ye frowned, "That serious."
Tang Mubei nodded.
"Boss, let’s get going."
Guangzi called to Qiu Ye; Qiu Ye considered for a mont then told him, "You take the people back for detention, and Tang Mubei and I will go to the hospital to check the condition of the injured, then start recording statents."
Guangzi glanced at Qiu Ye, then at Tang Mubei, nodded vigorously, "Alright, we’ll go first, boss, you take your ti."
Qiu Ye gave him a aningful look, "Don’t think I don’t know what’s in your mind, best to keep it in check."
"Yes, boss!" Guangzi imdiately stood up straight and saluted her, "Boss, we’re leaving first."
"Okay."
Guangzi and the detectives all got into the car, Qiu Ye turned towards Tang Mubei, "I’ll trouble you to take to the hospital to see the injured."
Tang Mubei looked at her deeply and nodded, "Let’s go."
Qiu Ye calmly turned and walked towards his car, taking the seat in the front passenger’s side.
Tang Mubei lowered his eyes slightly, concealing his emotions, and got into the car.
The car remained silent, and neither spoke.
Tang Mubei thought, perhaps this was better, better than not seeing her, better than drawing swords.

Tang Yuxiu carrying the blood-soaked Gu Yan into the hospital quickly drew the attention of nurous people.
Xiao Hui spotted them easily, rushing over in alarm, "Oh my god! Miss, what happened to you!"
You Shuyang was also waiting in the hospital lobby; seeing them arrive with Gu Yan in Tang Yuxiu’s arms, she realized things were bad and imdiately dialed Xiang Linghao’s number, "Ah Hao, they’re back. Miss Gu is covered in blood, things are not good, prepare for an ergency."
Xiang Linghao was already waiting in the office; upon receiving the call, he imdiately arranged for ergency treatnt.
Xue Xianglan still didn’t know why he was so urgent.
Xiang Linghao recalling You Shuyang’s words from the call, furrowed his eyebrows tightly, "Xianglan, I’m telling you this now to prepare you ntally."
