Gu Yan sat down beside her and smiled, "I believe there are miracles in this world, don’t give up."

Such a young life shouldn’t end here.

"Thank you for the comfort, sister." The girl smiled, "Actually, it’s not a big deal. At least I can see the end of my life, which is better than those who live blindly for a long ti."

Gu Yan fell silent.

She didn’t know which was more cruel and confusing—a future with no visible end or one where the end was clearly seen.

While Gu Yan was lost in thought, a nurse ca running to find her.

"Miss Gu, there’s a young lady over there looking for you. She says she’s your friend, please co with ."

Gu Yan looked in the direction the nurse pointed. There were fewer people there, but she didn’t see anyone familiar.

Seeing the nurse’s expression was natural, she, though puzzled, didn’t think much of it. She spoke to the girl and then followed the nurse.

The girl glanced in that direction, set aside the drawing she had completed and used sothing to weigh it down, then picked up a brush to start a new one.

Gu Yan followed the nurse along the way, and as they walked, there were fewer people around. She increasingly had a bad feeling.

The nurse turned around and said, "Miss Gu, your friend is waiting for you up ahead. She only asked to lead you here. I have patients to attend to, so I won’t accompany you further."

Gu Yan smiled slightly, "Alright, thank you."

"You’re welco, I’ll be going then."

After the nurse left, Gu Yan looked ahead. There was actually no one there, the trees were dense, creating a rather gloomy shade.

Gu Yan walked forward, shivering as a cold breeze brushed past her.

Who on earth asked her to et here?

Gu Yan walked further in, "Is anyone there? Who called ?"

There was no response.

She continued walking forward.

Suddenly, she felt soone approaching from behind. Just as she was about to turn around, her vision went black as sothing covered her.

She instinctively resisted, "Let go of ! Who are you!"

No sound ca in, and she struggled incessantly; then she felt a severe pain at the back of her neck. After that, she lost consciousness.

...

Xiao Hui went downstairs carrying clothes and water, searching everywhere for Gu Yan’s traces, but she couldn’t find her and began to feel anxious.

She was soone from the Yan Family’s main household, and her emotional control and endurance were better than others, but Gu Yan was no ordinary person.

She searched the entire area but still couldn’t see any sign of Gu Yan.

The girl sitting on the grass heard soone asking if they had seen a girl about twenty-four or twenty-five years old. She thought for a mont, then stood up and approached to ask, "Is the person you’re looking for nad Gu?"

Xiao Hui heard and imdiately nodded, "Yes, do you know where she is?"

"She was sitting with over there earlier. Then a nurse ca and said soone was looking for her, so she left that way."

The girl pointed in a direction, and Xiao Hui quickly thanked her, hurrying in that direction.

Seeing her hurried expression, the girl could roughly guess what might have happened, but she was powerless and could only pray silently for the sister’s safety.

Xiao Hui followed the direction the girl indicated, but there were fewer and fewer people around until she reached a dense grove of trees. It was very cool here, and most critically, there wasn’t a single person!

Having experienced so situations, she guessed what might have happened at that mont.

Soone deceived Gu Yan into coming here, and then...

She didn’t know who tricked her into coming here or where they took her!

In short, she knew sothing had happened to Gu Yan!

She cald down and imdiately went upstairs to find the two bodyguards, saying solemnly, "Miss Gu is missing. Go find her quickly!"

The two bodyguards exchanged a glance and, without asking more questions, imdiately went out to search for her.

Xiao Hui took a deep breath and called Yan Shuo.

The phone rang for a long ti, but no one answered.

At this mont, Yan Shuo was in a spacious room high up in a skyscraper, involved in an important eting, with his phone left in the office.

Sweat dripped from Xiao Hui’s forehead, and she called Xiao Xiao, but no one answered either.

At this mont, Xiao Xiao was in a neighboring city executing a small task, mingling in a nightclub and hadn’t brought her phone along.

Xiao Hui grew increasingly anxious and upset. At crucial tis, neither of the masters was present!

And this matter couldn’t be reported to the main family. The old master had been in declining health these past two years. If he learned that the granddaughter who was found with great difficulty was missing, who knows what might happen!

At that mont, footsteps echoed through the corridor, approaching from afar.

Xiao Hui turned and saw Tang Yuxiu in formal attire strolling toward her.

Xiao Hui hesitated, as if seeing a savior, and couldn’t care about anything else.

"President Tang!" she called out to Tang Yuxiu.

Tang Yuxiu glanced at her expressionlessly, didn’t recognize her, and walked past her.

Xiao Hui saw him not stopping and grew anxious. She decided to speak everything at once.

"President Tang, I’m the maid taking care of Miss Gu Yan. Please, President Tang, save Miss Gu Yan!"

As soon as he heard Gu Yan’s na, Tang Yuxiu’s footsteps abruptly halted, he turned back to stare coldly at her, "What did you say, say it again!"

Xiao Hui calmly said, "Miss Gu Yan is missing. I suspect soone deliberately took her. I can’t reach the young master, so please, President Tang, help find Miss Gu Yan, I’m begging you!"

Gu Yan is missing!

Tang Yuxiu’s mind exploded with a "boom," his gaze icy cold, "What do you an she’s missing! What do you an soone deliberately took her! Explain it to clearly!"

Xiao Hui quickly relayed what she knew and her suspicions.

After hearing it, Tang Yuxiu imdiately called You Shuyang, "Investigate who in Xiang Linghao’s hospital looks suspicious and find out where Gu Yan is now!"

You Shuyang was startled, "Miss Gu is missing?"

"Stop wasting ti, hurry up and investigate!"

"Alright, alright, I’ll check imdiately!"

Tang Yuxiu abruptly hung up the phone, his gaze icy as he looked at Xiao Hui, "You’re the one the Yan Family sent to look after her, and this is how you look after her!"

Xiao Hui lowered her head, "It’s my negligence. I’ll plead guilty to the young master and the old master. Right now, the priority is to find Miss Gu."

Tang Yuxiu coldly snorted, "Take to where she was last seen."

"Yes." Xiao Hui responded and hurriedly led him there.

Tang Yuxiu stood at the edge of the gloomy grove, his expression dark, "Where’s that nurse?"

"She’s already being searched for, should be found soon."

Tang Yuxiu said nothing more, closed his eyes, and in his mind was the image of Gu Yan.

Where is she now? What happened? Who took her? Is she alright now?

Question after question hovered in his mind, making him extrely vexed!

Yanyan, please don’t let anything happen to you. Wait for to find you!
