Standing at the bridgehead, Gu Yan gazed at the straight iron suspension bridge extending to the other side, her heart suddenly racing.

The person she hoped for?

But she had already left Tang Yuxiu.

She couldn’t forget Tang Yuxiu now, nor did she want to start a new relationship.

If she truly hoped for anything, it would be that Nie Rong’s child wasn’t his, that they wouldn’t get engaged, wouldn’t be together.

But she had already left, what else was there to wish for?

Moreover, even if things were as she hoped, could she still wish for Tang Yuxiu to co and find her?

He was such a proud person, even if he ca to find her, it would certainly be because he was unwilling to accept her leaving him; he would surely hate her more than like her.

Gu Yan lowered her gaze, suppressing those complex emotions, and stepped onto the iron suspension bridge, the chains on both ends slightly swaying.

The bridge was indeed stable, not shaking much. Gu Yan, with each step over the shimring water below, did not feel fear.

Perhaps the bridge’s na gave her so psychological comfort.

Step by step...

Gu Yan counted each step, "Fifty, fifty-one..."

She looked ahead, getting closer to the center.

"Ninety-eight, ninety-nine..."

Gu Yan stopped, ninety-nine...

She stood at the center of the bridge, looking toward both ends. She was almost equidistant to either side, standing alone on the long bridge, the unenthusiastic sunlight casting her shadow long and lonely.

Gu Yan stood by the bridge’s edge, holding the iron railings, gazing into the distance.

The small island in the center stood quietly as it had for years, sunlight illuminating the water, reflecting beautiful halos. At that mont, a small boat rounded the island, its passing rippling the water.

Gu Yan found the scene breathtakingly beautiful, hurriedly raised her cara, and pressed the shutter, capturing the mont.

Gu Yan looked at the picture in the cara, smiling with satisfaction.

This kind of peaceful scenery was perfect for people who had been bustling around the city for too long, allowing them to relax their minds and ease their busy bodies.

If Tang Yuxiu could see it, perhaps his fiery temper would improve, especially his sharp tongue, which could also be purified.

For here wasn’t a place for anger or quarrels but for peaceful strolling and appreciation.

Recalling the tis spent with Tang Yuxiu, their frequent bickering, especially his lack of understanding in cherishing her, often left her speechless, not wanting to speak to him anymore.

Thinking carefully, during their ti together, there were indeed many lighthearted and joyful monts.

Yet people were such, naturally rembering the unpleasant more easily, neglecting many happy mories.

Gu Yan regretted not making more joyful mories with Tang Yuxiu before leaving.

Back then, she was consud with thoughts of Nie Rong having Tang Yuxiu’s child, her own poor mindset, unable to trust Tang Yuxiu; nothing else ca to mind.

While abandoning herself, she also abandoned Tang Yuxiu and their relationship.

Ultimately, the biggest reason they couldn’t continue was herself, her lack of confidence!

Gu Yan lowered her head with a sigh. What’s the use of thinking so much now? They had no future.

She was lost in thought, oblivious to soone approaching on the bridge.

Until that person stopped beside her, Gu Yan suddenly noticed a pair of black leather shoes entering her view.

Gu Yan blinked. Why did they stop beside her? Did she block their path?

But it shouldn’t be, she was standing aside, and Heart Connecting Bridge was quite wide, accommodating four normal-sized people walking side by side. Could the person be... that fat?

Gu Yan silently stepped aside, thinking no matter what, to let them pass.

However, when she raised her head and looked at the person, she froze, her cara unconsciously slipping from her hands onto the bridge.

September’s weather was no longer hot, especially in this beautiful mountain and water place, with the lake’s cool breeze, so refreshing.

But Gu Yan found her palms sweating.

Was she dreaming? He really appeared before her!

Tang Yuxiu’s deep black eyes gazed at the stunned Gu Yan, who was so surprised to see him here.

Over a month since they last t, she had visibly lost weight; her cheeks used to have flesh he could pinch, now her chin was sharp.

The clothes that fit just right before now appeared loose on her.

This slender look made Tang Yuxiu feel sad.

In just over a month, how had she lost so much weight!

But Gu Yan didn’t think so, did he an she was fat before?

Pfft! Totally ruining the mont!

"Yanyan, I ca to take you ho," Tang Yuxiu suddenly spoke, his words like a firework launched into Gu Yan’s heart, exploding warmly and movingly.

Gu Yan suddenly started to cry without warning.

Tang Yuxiu had never been an emotional person; he would call her by her full na, Gu Yan. But now, he so naturally and intimately called her Yanyan, as if she were his heart’s treasure, cherished deeply.

Besides, he said he’d co to take her ho...

For over a month, she left the city where she grew up, wandering alone with her luggage in unfamiliar places, without stopping, and without a place to stay. Deep down inside, she longed for him to show up, tell her that he only liked her, that everything between him and Nie Rong was fake, and that he would take her back.

And this mont she had intensely longed for was happening right now!

"You..."

As soon as Gu Yan spoke, she choked up, unable to say a word more.

Tang Yuxiu stepped forward, gently wiped away the tears on her face, and then held her in his arms.

In this mont, Gu Yan shed all pretense, reaching out to tightly embrace his waist, leaning into his chest as her cries gradually grew louder.

This ti, everyone passing by the lake could see in the center of Heart Connecting Bridge, two people tightly held each other.

The locals thought that another couple was brought together by the legend of Heart Connecting Bridge.

Not knowing how long she cried, Gu Yan gradually regained her emotions, sobbing a few tis before coming out of Tang Yuxiu’s embrace.

She looked up at his face, couldn’t help but reach out to touch him, "Is it real?"

Tang Yuxiu looked at her red and swollen eyes from crying, feeling slightly pained. Hearing her unsure question, his heart hurt more but also found her adorable.

He nodded, "Of course it’s real."

Gu Yan bit her lip and threw herself into his arms again, "You really ca to find ."

Tang Yuxiu gently stroked her hair, without answering.

When you’re here, of course I’d co to find you.

"Tang Yuxiu, these past months outside have been really tough; I felt very lonely." She said, muffled against his chest.

"I’m sorry I ca late." Tang Yuxiu apologized softly, holding her tighter.

The past month without her by his side was tough for him too. He was also lonely and missed her very much.

"No, it’s not late." Gu Yan shook her head.

As long as he ca while she hadn’t forgotten, while she hadn’t let go, while she hadn’t lost hope, it wouldn’t be late.

Because before that, she was always longing for his search, his appearance.

In this mont, it seed like words weren’t important anymore, as long as they remained together.

The two stood in the center of Heart Connecting Bridge. Tang Yuxiu held her shoulders while she leaned into his embrace, watching the beautiful scenery together.

Gu Yan said, "I was just thinking you should co here to see the scenery, cultivate your sense of culture, and improve your bad temper."

Tang Yuxiu smiled faintly, "Is my temper really bad?"

"Isn’t it bad?"

Tang Yuxiu paused for two seconds, then replied, "I’m good to you."

Gu Yan, "..." Is this how he is good? Always contradicting her, often leaving her speechless, is this considered good?

The first ti she’s ever seen such.

"I think it’s not good!"

"What’s not good?" Young Master Tang eagerly asked.

"You’re not allowed to yell at or argue with . Whatever I say you have to agree with, I’m always right, you’re not to refute, always follow and accommodate ." Gu Yan said in his arms, counting on her fingers, "...Almost like that."

Tang Yuxiu looked down at the little head in his arms, feeling satisfied. Hearing her chatter like this, his mood improved greatly.

"Whatever you say goes. I won’t call you silly or say anything, how about that?"

Gu Yan angrily looked up and refuted, "I’m not silly!"

Young Master Tang’s eyes smiled, even her angry look was beautiful and cute!

"Fine, if you say you’re not silly, then you’re not." Young Master Tang obediently followed her words.

Gu Yan suddenly pinched his waist, "You’re clearly saying one thing but an another, insincere!"

However, Young Master Tang’s attention was no longer on what Gu Yan had said, but rather on the pinch she had just made at his waist.

Young Master Tang’s eyes slightly darkened, a hidden fla flickering within.

He grabbed her hand, lowly said, "Gu Yan, don’t casually touch a man, so places you can’t pinch, you know."

"What can’t be pinched? I’m only touching you, not anyone else."

Gu Yan didn’t hear the implication in his words, naturally responding.

Yet Young Master Tang was drawn in by her words.

She only touched him, never anyone else.

This completely enchanted Young Master Tang.

He chuckled lowly, and suddenly lowered his head, precisely kissing her lips.

Gu Yan was instantly bewildered, how did they suddenly kiss!

Kissing her without agreent left her completely unprepared!

Tang Yuxiu hadn’t kissed her for a long ti. Now kissing her, he realized just how much he missed her taste.
