Tang Yuxiu was already lying flat on one side of the bed. She walked around the bed’s foot and lifted the covers on the other side to lie down.
Tang Yuxiu suddenly turned sideways and reached out to embrace Gu Yan, startling her.
"Boss, we agreed it would be next ti."
"You’re overthinking it. I just want to hold you, nothing more," Tang Yuxiu said with a hint of annoyance.
Gu Yan was taken aback but then gave him an embarrassed smile. She moved closer to him, "I’m sorry. If you want to hold , go ahead. I won’t resist."
It’s just a hug, it wouldn’t hurt. She felt at ease.
Tang Yuxiu slipped one hand under her neck and another around her waist. It was just like the position from last night.
"Don’t get wrong, it’s not that I need to hold you to sleep. It’s because your sleeping posture is terrible. You toss and turn all night, seriously disturbing my sleep. I have no choice but to do this."
Gu Yan felt a wave of embarrassnt, "Is it really that bad?"
"Ha, it’s the worst, but you sohow keep finding ways to outdo yourself."
Gu Yan, "..." Well, she always knew her sleeping habits were bad, but she didn’t realize they were so disruptive to others.
As a woman, she felt a bit ashad.
She stopped talking, and Tang Yuxiu didn’t take the initiative to say anything either. The two of them were very close. She lay on his arm, listening to his steady breathing and heartbeat, and closed her eyes. Surprisingly, she felt no discomfort and soon fell into a peaceful sleep.
Tang Yuxiu listened to her steady breathing, and only after he knew she was asleep did he finally allow himself to relax and fall asleep.

The next morning, Gu Yan made the sa breakfast for Tang Yuxiu as yesterday. Tang Yuxiu ate with a constipated expression, clearly unhappy.
Gu Yan tried to placate him, "Just make do with it for today; we’ll buy fresh ingredients tonight, and I’ll make ham sandwiches for you tomorrow."

Gu Yan went to the company in Tang Yuxiu’s car. After parting ways in the parking lot, she went to the entertainnt departnt by herself.
When she arrived, the other mbers of the piano group were just about all there too.
"Good morning, Gu Yan, you’re here early," Wang Qi greeted her first. Lin Fei didn’t even look at her and went straight to her seat to sit down.
Gu Yan smiled at Wang Qi, "I live quite far away, so I ca early to avoid unexpected delays."
"You’re so thoughtful," Wang Qi praised her sowhat exaggeratedly, not knowing if it was ant for soone else to hear.
"Oh, not at all," Gu Yan replied with an embarrassed smile.
Yang Min ca over to show Gu Yan to her spot, "You’ll be working here. We only have one test piano in our office, so you can tune while composing. If you need to practice, ask Wang Qi to take you to the dedicated piano room."
"Okay, thank you, Yang," she replied.
