369 FIRE VS WIND
Only once did Bai Chen witness Bai Renshu fight soone, and that was when he participated in the Beast Hunting Event held in the Forbidden Forest not too long ago. Back then, Bai Renshu was fighting the Three-Headed Beast, but he didn’t even watch for long because Wu Jinhai quickly whisked him away from the battle area.
As such, Bai Chen had to admit that he didn’t know much about his brother’s abilities and fighting style, which was why he could only use his instincts at the mont.
When he thought about how he should fight Shao Yang, the power within his body suddenly reacted, and for so unknown reason, it materialized as a blue light around his body that gradually ford a blue whirlwind. It seed like the whirlwind was acting as his shield and not hurting him, and that was why Bai Chen was able to stay calm.
Even if he didn’t know much about Bai Renshu’s power, he knew that one of the man’s abilities was creating the Blue Whirlwind, and that was why he could be sure that his power wouldn’t backfire and hurt him instead.
When he glanced at the Blue Whirlwind that was continuously protecting his body, he could see how it even caused dry leaves to move in a ss, and even his long brown hair moved with the wind that coiled around him.
Bai Renshu’s ability indeed ca from the wind elent, and sohow Bai Chen felt very close to his brother right now even if the older man was no longer in this world.
‘Are you here with ... gege?’ Perhaps this was the first ti Bai Chen had called the man using that word. Over the years, he had hated the older man, and he thought that the man hated him too. Thus, it was impossible for them to act intimately as two brothers in the past, and Bai Chen also refused to use that word to address his half-brother.
At this mont, Bai Chen felt very calm with the whirlwind around him, and he sohow believed that Bai Renshu was with him even if not physically.
Suddenly, he felt a surge of emotion in his heart, and how his feelings fluctuated inside him also affected the Blue Whirlwind. It seed like the whirlwind was going out of control for a mont, but then Bai Chen closed his eyes to stabilize his emotions.

It had been a long ti since he did, but he counted from 1 to 5 to calm himself, and he could feel how the whirlwind was gradually returning to normal. Hence, he opened his eyes once again, but his eyes sohow shone even brighter this ti, and even Yu Ming looked surprised when he noticed the difference.
Yu Ming and Wu Jingguo acted as onlookers this ti as they continued to stand on one of the branches of a large tree not far from where Bai Chen was standing, but Bai Chen didn’t pay much attention to them as he suddenly charged toward Shao Yang.
Shao Yang was still there, and he also looked confused as he witnessed how Bai Chen had managed to produce the Blue Whirlwind like Bai Renshu usually did. Moreover, Bai Chen didn’t even need to transform into his wolf form when he did that, and that confused Shao Yang even more.
However, before Shao Yang could find the answer to his question, the whirlwind was already very close to him, and it felt like he no longer saw Bai Chen anymore because the whirlwind had suddenly trapped him inside.
It was a huge and tall whirlwind that suddenly trapped him in the middle, and when Shao Yang tried to jump to get away from the whirlwind from above him, the top of the whirlwind suddenly moved towards him and blocked him. Not only that, but the wind also knocked him back to the ground, and Shao Yang fell to the ground with a thud.
Now, even the exit above him was blocked, and Shao Yang changed his strategy as he returned on his two feet. Before today, he had only heard of the Blue Whirlwind originally belonging to Bai Renshu, but because he had never fought Bai Renshu before, he didn’t really know how strong it was.
He thought Bai Chen had secretly learned the technique from his half-brother, and that was quite unexpected since the two brothers had appeared to be unfriendly to each other over the years.
But Shao Yang didn’t have ti to think about the relationship between the two brothers as he finally tried to do sothing with the whirlwind. It’s just wind, right? He could even withstand storms, and that was why Shao Yang braved the whirlwind by walking straight through it.
However, sothing unexpected happened as the whirlwind suddenly turned into countless tiny blue daggers that imdiately sliced through his clothes and skin when he tried to walk past it.
“ARGH!” Shao Yang scread in pain as he once again stepped back and returned to the center of the whirlwind where the wind didn’t hurt him.
The transformation from the wind into a small dagger was unexpected, but he could feel a stinging sensation all over his body where the dagger sliced into his skin. As he brought his eyes to inspect his body, he could see blood everywhere, and his eyes widened.
When he once again looked up at the whirlwind, he could see how it had turned back into a normal whirlwind instead of being made of countless daggers, and Shao Yang didn’t even understand what was going on.
He couldn’t even see outside of the whirlwind because the blue wind was so thick it blocked his view, and that was why he couldn’t see his enemy’s position.
At this mont, Shao Yang knew that he couldn’t recklessly try to escape from the trap, and that was why he raised his hands before opening his palms, and he focused his mind on the opened palms. In no ti, two gigantic fireballs ford above his palms, and as he once again shouted to muster all his strength into the two fireballs, he finally threw the fireballs into the whirlwind.
