211 THE NALESS RIVER
Unexpectedly, Zhu Ge suddenly chuckled after Bai Chen voiced such a serious question. “You said your question wouldn’t have anything to do with the thing I was hiding, but you were wrong about that, Bai Chen,” said the man wearing the red hanfu.
Zhu Ge’s laughter was unexpected, but what the man just said was even more unexpected, and the Werewolf Prince finally furrowed his brows as he asked, “What do you an? Do you have an ability that you’ve been hiding for so long, and that ability is related to how you weren’t affected by the spell of the Flute Demon?”
Thankfully, Bai Chen’s brain managed to work extrely fast to form a theory, and now Zhu Ge smiled at him as he replied, “I’ll tell you everything about it once you et Wu Jinhai. I promise I won’t hide anything from you anymore.”
Bai Chen looked disappointed after hearing Zhu Ge’s answer. He had agreed to wait until he t Wu Jinhai before Zhu Ge could tell the truth about him, but the man didn’t even want to answer his question before he finally t the eldest Prince of Wu Li.
Sighing heavily, Bai Chen no longer answered Zhu Ge, and he simply walked over to the taller man before taking the porcelain jar from the man’s hand. He didn’t say anything even after the jar had moved into his hands, and he just turned around before walking towards the water again.
He was standing near the water, and he could even see his reflection in the water because it was so clear. There was only one reflection in the water, but it didn’t take long for another reflection to appear in the water, and Bai Chen finally turned to his side again.
Standing right next to him was none other than Zhu Ge, and the man wearing the red hanfu didn’t say anything as if giving him a chance to do what he was supposed to do at the river.
Perhaps Bai Chen could see that Zhu Ge didn’t want to say anything, and that was why he turned to the front once more before he opened his mouth to speak, “What is the na of this river? I think I’ve never heard of the na before.”
Bai Chen’s blue eyes were fixed on the river in front of him, but the question that had just escaped his lips was directed at the man in red.

“This river has no na,” Zhu Ge replied, and Bai Chen turned to the man again.
It was apparent that Bai Chen was surprised by Zhu Ge’s answer. He thought that all things in this world would have a na. The snow mountain was called Heping Mountain, and the forest where the beasts were trapped was called the Forbidden Forest, and he thought that the river close to Dong Lang and Wu Li would have a na too.
Unfortunately, Zhu Ge had just confird that his opinion was not correct, and that was why the Prince asked once again, “Why doesn’t this river have a na? This river flows from the peak of Mount Heping, and I think this river will be important to Dong Lang and Wu Li. I didn’t expect this river to have no na.”
Bai Chen’s blue eyes were still on Zhu Ge, but the man in red didn’t even look at him. Zhu Ge fixated his pair of brown eyes on the water in front of him, and Bai Chen couldn’t even guess what the man was thinking.
He could only watch Zhu Ge stay silent for a while with a frown on his forehead, and even if Bai Chen didn’t like the sight, he decided to patiently wait for the man to say sothing instead of asking the man to stop frowning.
“This river is not important to Dong Lang and Wu Li,” Zhu Ge’s answer finally arrived after the man had been silent for a few minutes, and Bai Chen could only stare at the taller man with a curious gaze.
He assud that Zhu Ge had been acting strange ever since they arrived at the river. Before they finally walked to the riverside, the man in red was still in his usual carefree and cheerful deanor, but Bai Chen sohow thought that the man had looked even more gloomy since they arrived at the river.
Zhu Ge even panicked just because Bai Chen touched his forehead with his slightly wet finger, and now the man looked like he was bothered by sothing after Bai Chen asked him about the river.
‘What is the relationship between this river and Zhu Ge? Why is he suddenly acting weird when we’re in this river?’ Bai Chen couldn’t help but wonder as he believed that Zhu Ge had indeed acted differently since they had reached the river.
Bai Chen did receive an answer from Zhu Ge, but the answer was not satisfactory enough, and he was slightly disappointed as he once again averted his gaze from the taller man.
His blue eyes once again stared at the stream in front of them, and he just rembered sothing when his blue eyes were still fixated on the clear water.
‘This is the river where I accidentally lost my Power Crystal, right?’ The Werewolf Prince felt a violent thump in his chest when he realized the important thing.
After he ca out of the Forbidden Forest, Ma Qiao told him about his Power Crystal and the incident when he accidentally lost the crystal, and at that mont, he also saw a strange mory in his head that occurred in the river similar to the one he was currently standing on.
He didn’t ask Ma Qiao about the river, but sohow he was sure that it was indeed the sa river even though he didn’t get confirmation from his old servant.
And while Bai Chen was still thinking about the river, another mory suddenly flashed across his mind, and his body froze as he recalled one by one the events that happened in the river when he was only six years old.
