185 FAIR AND UNFAIR
So, it was a real surprise coming from Zhu Ge even if Bai Chen underestimated him. Bai Chen didn’t expect Zhu Ge to give him such a surprise, but his blue eyes imdiately lit up when he heard the answer from the taller man.
Rembering what happened at the court eting earlier, he couldn’t hide how happy he was when he finally got to et the masked man. It wasn’t that he wanted to do anything with the man, but he just assud that he could finally question the man regarding the things that happened in the Forbidden Forest.
Unfortunately, Zhu Ge seed to have misunderstood the aning behind his happy expression, and he furrowed his brows in displeasure before saying again, “You’re so happy just because you’ll be able to et Wu Jinhai, ah?”
The question that ca out of Zhu Ge’s mouth sounded cold and piercing, and Bai Chen imdiately erased his happy expression upon hearing it.
For so reason, Bai Chen could guess the true aning behind such a tone. From his tone alone, Bai Chen could tell that Zhu Ge was displeased while he was happy that he was finally able to et Wu Jinhai and ask the man further questions, and one theory ford in his head when he saw the man’s expression.
“Are you jealous of Wu Jinhai?” That was the theory that manifested in Bai Chen’s head, and he even directly questioned the man to answer his curiosity.
Since yesterday, Zhu Ge had continued to show a displeased expression when he talked about the masked man, and that was why Bai Chen was curious about the aning behind the man’s expression.

Bai Chen almost answered with a firm “no,” but then he rembered his deal with Zhu Ge yesterday because of the system’s cunning trick, and he knew that he couldn’t say no at this point.
With a heavy sigh, the Werewolf Prince replied, “You definitely have the right to feel jealous since you will marry in the future. Just tell if you feel uncomfortable whenever I talk about Wu Jinhai. After all, I don’t have that kind of feeling for him.”
Bai Chen wanted to make a firm statent, but he ended up taking his eyes off the perverted man when he said that he had no romantic feelings for Wu Jinhai.
He wanted to appear confident when he said that, but he looked doubtful in Zhu Ge’s eyes, and the man in red even smiled bitterly when he saw such a reaction.
However, Zhu Ge probably chose to pretend as if he couldn’t read the aning behind Bai Chen’s reaction as he replied, “You said that you didn’t have such feelings for Wu Jinhai. So, why did you look so happy when I told you that Wu Jinhai has agreed to et you?”
In Bai Chen’s eyes, Zhu Ge was acting realistically when he asked the question, and he was sohow relieved that the man didn’t want to pressure him with the matters related to the masked Prince.
“As I said yesterday, I want to ask Wu Jinhai about a few things,” the Werewolf Prince replied. “And I also didn’t expect you to be able to et Wu Jinhai so easily. He didn’t even attend the court eting in the Imperial Palace even if Emperor Bai Guowei had invited him, so I just didn’t expect you to be able to et him so easily.”
Zhu Ge once again raised his eyebrows as he replied, “You suddenly talked about the court eting. Did sothing happen in the court eting? Was Emperor Bai Guowei looking for Wu Jinhai?”
‘It’s actually Shao Yaoting who was looking for your friend,’ Bai Chen wanted to answer like that, but he finally swallowed the honest answer as he replied, “It can’t be said that the Emperor was looking for Wu Jinhai. They just talked about Wu Jinhai before, and since I didn’t see him at Zuigao Hall, I wonder why he didn’t even attend that important eting. Did he tell you anything about it?”
Bai Chen assud that he shouldn’t have let Zhu Ge find out the details of what happened in the Zuigao Hall earlier. The matter was related to Wu Jinhai, and he wanted to speak to the man in private before he could share everything with Zhu Ge.
