The Thunderous White Tiger Clan—
One of the ten Overlord Beast Clans that reign supre over the entire Howling Wilds Continent.
They stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes of the Sky Dragon Clan, Black Tortoise Clan, Vermilion Bird Clan, Ice Phoenix Clan, Nine-Tailed Fox Tribe, Fenrir Clan, Guardian Lion Clan, Pixiu Clan, and the Qilin Clan.
But if one were to judge solely by the offensive ability they wield imdiately upon awakening their bloodline...
Then the Thunderous White Tiger Clan would undoubtedly be the strongest.
Their power surges from the very first breath of their Bloodline awakening.
This supremacy isn’t rely due to their affinity with one of the rarest and most destructive elents in existence—
Lightning.
While Lightning Elent is indeed elusive—awakened only by the most extraordinary geniuses who reach the Elent Refining Realm—
It is not what truly crowns the Thunderous White Tigers as the Lords of Lightning.
For them, Lightning isn’t a gift—they are its incarnation.
What sets them apart...
What makes even a cub among them terrifying...
Is the fact that those born with Royal or higher-lineage Thunderous White Tiger bloodlines awaken with 1-Star Lightning Qi already mastered the mont their bloodline activates.
And among these monstrous prodigies, the most fearso of all—
Are those with the Legendary-Lineage.
For the mont their bloodline awakens, they gain a terrifying ability known as:
Lightning Surge.
A peerless bloodline gift that, depending on their innate talent and fortune, allows them to instantly wield 5-Star to even 9-Star Lightning Qi, and grants them near-limitless lightning energy for three minutes.
It is this very ability that allowed Nira to summon hundreds of 9-Star Lightning-Qi infused blades just after awakening.
A child wielding the power of calamity itself.
But Lightning Surge is not rely destructive.
It carries another devastating effect:
It disrupts all low-tier teleportation techniques.
That was the true reason why Xiao Yan’s Elental Transportation Skill failed at the most critical mont.
The instant Lightning Surge activated, his escape path was shattered—
His fate, sealed.
Right now, standing ahead of Nira—
A vast crater stretched over a hundred miles wide, a silent testant to cataclysmic destruction.
Everything within its bounds—trees, lake, even a few unfortunate outer disciples—had been reduced to ash and scattered dust.
At the heart of that obliterated landscape, there was no trace of Xiao Yan’s body.
All that remained was a Celestial Heart, glowing with four shifting elental hues, pulsing in the air like a sentient fragnt, as if searching for its fallen host... or its next one.
And beside it—
A single charred skull, cracked and half-buried in the ruined soil.
Nira’s gaze settled on it coldly.
"Did he die that easily?" she murmured, her voice tinged with disappointnt. "Hmph... if so, he was too weak."
With that, she turned her attention to Reon, whom she had shielded within a do of Lightning Qi blades.
As she approached, she waved her hand gently.
The blades dissolved into light.
Reon, having consud another Low-tier Grade-3 healing pill, slowly rose to his feet, his wounds mostly nded.
But his breath was still unsteady, and his body ached.
Then—he saw her.
The breathtaking woman, hair flowing like silver lightning, walking toward him with concern in her eyes.
"Brother Reon, are you okay?" she asked softly, stepping close.
He opened his mouth to answer, still processing the events.
"I’m fine... Little Tiger. Thank you for your hel—"
But then—he froze.
His words caught in his throat.
His eyes widened as her words echoed in his mind.
Brother Reon...
’R-Reon?!’
’How the hell does she know that na?!’
His trembling hands shot up and grasped her shoulders, his eyes wide, voice shaking with disbelief.
"H-H-How do you know my real na?! W-Who are you... Little Tiger?!"
Nira looked at him, her gaze softening with a glimr of sorrow.
"Brother Reon," she said, her voice quiet but tinged with hurt, "I’m really angry at you right now... I was always there—when you cried alone, when you broke down in silence—"
She paused, her eyes glistening.
"I even gave up my life once... just so I could stay by your side. Even in this life—though my mories were faint—just sensing your soul was enough. I crossed continents to find you."
"And now... now you don’t rember at all?"
Reon froze.
His entire body began to tremble, tears welling up uncontrollably in his eyes.
He whispered, barely audible—
"N-Nira...?"
The mont she heard her na from his lips, Nira’s expression lted into a warm smile.
The sadness in her eyes faded, like a storm lifting from a long-suffering sky.
"Yes..." she whispered. "That’s the na you gave ... That rainy day, in the alley behind the orphanage."
"You said... ’Since both of us are holess and without any family, let’s beco each other’s family from now on, and always stay together.’"
A tear rolled down her cheek as she recited it.
"’From now on, You’ll be called Nira—The light in my darkness-filled life.’"
As those words reached him, Reon could no longer hold back.
His face crumpled, and tears stread down his cheeks like a flood finally released.
Without a word, he stepped forward—
Swish!
"...Huh?"
Nira gasped softly as he wrapped his arms tightly around her, holding her like he’d found a piece of his soul he thought lost forever.
"N-Nira... I... I missed you... Missed you so much... Why... why did you have to leave too?!"
Nira smiled through her tears, heart aching as she hugged him back just as tightly.
"I’m sorry, Brother Reon..."
But Reon wasn’t done.
"W-Why didn’t you leave that damn orphanage... when they tried to throw you out?! Didn’t I promise you we’d et again when we grew up?!"
His voice broke again, raw with pain.
"Why... why did you keep coming back to that awful place every ti they drove you away?! And then... y-you..."
Nira’s eyes shimred, tears falling freely.
"Because I couldn’t leave you... You said we were family, right? That we’d always stay together... How could I leave you behind?"
Reon’s voice trembled like a leaf in the wind.
"D-Do you know... after you died... I lost the will to live. I was like an empty shell... a leaf drifting aimlessly across an endless sea... A feather blown through the sky, with no place to land..."
Nira smiled through her tears, her voice gentle but resolute.
"Then let this be our landing place," she whispered. "Don’t worry, Brother Reon... This ti, I won’t ever leave you. And I won’t let you leave either."
She leaned closer, her forehead touching his.
"We’ll be family again... and stay together—till the very end of ti."
