Because Ji Yao was too young and Ji Wen was passed out, Qilin Luse managed to get the bird out of the kid's hand by coaxing him to take sothing else.

Seeing the shiny teething necklace made of polished jade gemstones the little Ji Yao dropped that bird so fast like he was afraid the tall giant would change his mind. Qilin Luse left with the bird in hand that is after he splashed Ji Wen with cold water waking him up from his drunken stupor.

When he woke with a start he only saw his son gnawing on sothing he obviously didn't buy for him and his body drenched in water. At that ti he stupidly asked Ji Yao if he had seen who did this but the little dumpling just giggled at his misfortune.

The bird might have been rescued from the cute baby but it was still so pitifully drunk. Qilin Luse was left with no choice but to bring him along and take care of him.

That night this stubborn bird refused to let him go so Qilin Luse could only allow him to sleep in the sa bed. He didn't see anything wrong with it since the man was in his bird form. Unfortunately, when he woke up it was a different story. The bird was gone and in his arms was a half-naked man staring at him with fear in his eyes. Ever since that day, Hei Ying would hint at having a relationship with him which Qilin Luse resolutely refused.

Over the years Hei Ying had wiggled his way into Qilin Luse's life slowly incorporating himself in there till the stern man ward up to him. It is at such opportune monts like this one he would suggest getting together.

Qilin Luse just sat there in silence as Hei Ying massaged the nape of his scalp. As always he didn't answer Hei Ying's question. This left the Kun Peng with no other choice but to change the subject.

"How about we go drinking and drown your sorrows?" he suggested. From a third party's view, it seed like an innocent suggestion where one friend invites the other for drinks to comfort them but in truth, he just wanted to cuddle Qilin Luse when he gets drunk.

It had never happened before but if he could only get the sa warmth he got when they woke up together that day then it would be worth it. He didn't want anything more than that.

Qilin Luse who had been entranced by the lovely scalp massage readily agreed. He was in desperate need of a break so the two of them left the half-burnt forest for happy hour.

anwhile, Ji Yao had finally woken up after sleeping till noon. Rui Fei on the other hand was sleeping like the dead with no hope of waking up anyti soon. Since he was recuperating Ji Yao let him be and went to freshen up before walking out of his cabin for so fresh air.

As soon as he stepped outside his steps abruptly paused as he saw the entire Concord mbers and Huishe Yue sitting on stools right outside his door like they had waited for him the entire night. He imdiately regretted walking outside. He should have just continued cuddling Rui Fei for the rest of the day instead of coming out.

Puzzled, he briskly closed the door and asked, "What's the matter?"

The four people let go of their mahjong tiles and hastily stood up but before they could even answer, Xiaoyu ca rushing over and held Ji Yao's hand in tears. She seed so pitiful especially with the marks on her neck. Unfortunately, her pitiable act wasn't well-received by Ji Yao. He knew she was playing at sothing.

He took back his hand fighting off the horrible feeling creeping upon him. It seed his illness was only getting worse. All of a sudden everyone began speaking at once making him very confused.

The questions were so random like did you sleep well, are you okay, did Rui Fei hurt you etc. Ji Yao had to raise his finger and lightly place it on his lips to sheesh them. He didn't want Rui Fei to be woken up by this raucous.

He led the group of people to his father's cabin and wouldn't let anyone speak until he had eaten breakfast and had so warm tea. He was like a parent who wasn't ready to listen to their kid's problems until they finish their cup of coffee. So the five of them sat there in silence as they watched him slowly eat his food.

After filling his stomach and preparing himself ntally he said, "You can speak but one at a ti."

Lady Ching Sei wanted to clearly explain the situation but Xiaoyu jumped the gun ready to defend her innocence. That is to say, she assud that since Rui Fei spent the night with Ji Yao he must have said sothing to him making her look bad so she hurriedly defended herself.

"Yao-ge, what he said to you..... it's, it's a lie. He wants to slander and dirty in your eyes. I swear I am innocent, " she spoke with a brittle voice as tears flowed down her cheeks. She was so convincing that everyone couldn't help but feel the urge to protect her. All except two rather enlightened people.

One was Ji Yao and the second person was dearest uncle Yue who couldn't believe for a second every word she said.

He wasn't certain about why Rui Fei left those hideous scars on her but he was a hundred per cent sure that his nephew wasn't replaced otherwise Ji Yao would have noticed imdiately. Never in the history of Niuq did one pull a fast one on a Qilin.

They know their lover inside out. If so much as a hair is missing on their lover's head they would notice. They might not ntion it but they would have definitely noticed it let alone their lover's being impersonated.

Ji Yao might not notice other people's changes but like other Qilin he could recognize the littlest of changes in his partner.. In conclusion, that person in there was definitely his nephew.
