"Does it still hurt," he asked as he lowered his head to look at Ji Yao who was staring at him with a dazed expression? "Yao-ge," no response, "Yao-ge," still no response, "I am going to kiss you."

"Huh?" replied Ji Yao with a stupefied expression rarely seen on his face. "I am fine, don't worry. A little elixir and the bruise is gone." Oh boy, Ji Yao was completely off the mark. He was so srised by Rui Fei's Adam's apple that he didn't hear a word he said.

A pink arrow was shot straight into Rui Fei's heart. Struck by cupid's stray arrow he couldn't help but think of one word, 'cute'. His Yao-ge was so freaking cute. That silly look was sothing he would give up his entire wealth to see each and every day.

"Yao-ge, your face right now is just begging for to kiss it," said Rui Fei in a teasing tone that could have girls giggling and screaming while running away red-faced.

As icing on the cake, he was rubbing Ji Yao's hand that he had taken off his forehead. It wasn't just an ordinary simple rub but the kind that penetrated deep in one's soul like he was gently caressing every inch of his body stirring up deep feelings.

Ji Yao who had partially ca back from daydreaming was yanked to the now by Rui Fei's words. "You better not," was his response with all the cuteness vanquished from his face.

He said no but a tiny voice hidden deep in his mind was like, "Yes, yes please do it. DO IT... Ouch." The yelp was after being smacked by the rational part of the brain.

Thinking he needed to get away from Rui Fei otherwise, that little voice would eventually get what it wants if he hears the word 'kiss' co out of those heaven-defying lips of his again, Ji Yao walked away.

But how could Rui Fei let go of him so easy? He had already caught the blushing rabbit in his snare and there was no way he was going to let it go.

While the pair of love birds were playing so sort of ga single folks can't understand, in the brig of Red Bane Qilin Kai who had been sitting cross-legged in silence suddenly opened his eyes.

His heart jolted painfully like he had been struck by lightning but he didn't show a trace of it on his face. Pretending to be calm and collected, he closed his eyes again and said, "If it isn't Ah-Hao's lapdog... mhm... what brings you here?" he said with his long hair partially concealing his face.

From within the shadows erged a familiar figure adorned in maroon. It was none other than Qilin Luse. As to how he knew where Qilin Kai was, it wasn't a mystery. A dog can sniff out its previous owner despite the number of years.

Qilin Luse stood in front of the prison gate in such an overbearing stance that you wouldn't believe it was the sa man protecting Hei Ying. With his hands placed behind his back, he looked like a tyrannical prison guard here to make a prisoner's life a living hell.

"Your highness is very lucky the one you t was the little prince otherwise your ending might not be this... luxurious," he said taking another step forward.

Qilin Kai slowly opened his eyes before staring at him glaringly. "Then my fortune must be good... the little prince has been especially generous," he replied feeling a little smug because he was confident that Qilin Luse wouldn't be able to get to him through the latrion bars.

Qilin Luse raised a brow and said in a sarcastic tone, "Is it now?" He knew if Qilin Hao found out about Qilin Kai she would use the last of whatever was left of her aether to bring him down this is why he didn't ntion it to her when he found out.

It was Hei Ying who ntioned sothing about an evil clown creating hideous monstrosities that piqued his interest. It was for that reason he tracked Ji Yao down but who would have thought he would find this black-hearted beast instead?

Qilin Kai was the right-hand man of the greatest villain in Niuq, the man solely responsible for Qilin Hao's tornt. How he even managed to stay under the radar this long, no one knows.

Qilin Luse had once served him in the Qilin clan but the mont he t Qilin Hao single-handedly slaughtering high ranking beasts in the arena he saw a true king in her.

The Qilin clan's agendas were impure and crooked but this forgotten princess was the perfect candidate to lead them there.

From that mont forward he secretly followed her until the day she got expelled from the clan. Qilin Luse had a great eye for superiority and Qilin Hao was the epito of greatness.

"Yes, otherwise why would you co to instead? I know for a fact that if you so much as ntion my na she will co running especially when she knows I am in the hands of that little brat.... Oh, you can't lie to because I know her better than you do," he said getting even more brazen with each word.

His body leaned backwards as he let out haughty laughter. "Unless....," he said before licking his teeth like a tiger ready to bite off its prey's head, "sothing terrible happened to her, am I right?"

Qilin Kai stared at him with his nacing eyes as though looking for confirmation but Qilin Luse wasn't giving anything up. But Qilin Kai wasn't Qilin Kai unless he probes deeply. "I an why else would she abandon her cub and leave him all by himself to roam the world like a motherless child?" he said with his index finger on his chin as though thinking about it seriously.

Qilin Luse felt a sharp pain in his heart but he showed no expression.. It seed this vile man had to die otherwise he would bring trouble for Qilin Hao again in the future.
