Red Bane set sail in the raging sea cutting through powerful waves like it was nothing. It was as though she was the queen of the sea and the waters were her subjects. Despite experiencing such harsh weather the deck was relatively silent and peaceful. Inside the cabins, the ship was sturdy like they weren't at sea at all.
Inside Ji Yao's cabin, the pair were lazing around like cats basking in the sun. Actually no, it was Rui Fei who lay sprawled on his bed reading sothing while Ji Yao had a rare mont to himself. He had finally had the opportunity to paint which he took great advantage of. But here is the thing, he put his entire heart and soul into his artwork but Rui Fei's silence made him suspicious.
If it were only for five minutes or ten minutes then Ji Yao wouldn't care but it had already been an hour and this guy hadn't said anything. Rui Fei had shuffled around on his bed a couple of tis but that was it. He didn't even make a sound for a good hour which was unlike him.
Ji Yao took a glimpse in his direction and saw that book Rui Fei was holding up as he lay on his back. He was a little curious as to what could be so interesting it would have Ji Yao on tenterhooks.
Curious, he asked, "What's so interesting that it got you so focused?"
Even as he spoke Rui Fei was partially paying attention. He was half listening nodding and humming at him when he didn't even hear the question. That's because he was reading Stormy Love, the novel he robbed from Rui Li.
So many things had happened in between and he hadn't had a chance to read it. Now that he had ti he decided to flip through it. It turns out the material was so intriguing that he wanted to do half the things in that novel. It was because of this he wasn't necessarily listening to Ji Yao when he spoke to him.
His mind was preoccupied with a scene whereby the MC was passing by the ML. He was suddenly grabbed by the waist and pressed down by the ML. The ML whispered into his ear, "You are mine," and the MC blushed. His Adam's apple rolled up and down as he gulped averting his gaze from the man pressing him down.
Just as things were getting good a shadow lood over Rui Fei. Thanks to his good reflexes he closed the book and moved it to the side before it was snatched away. He then proceeded to pull him down in a slick move that even startled Ji Yao.
All he rembers was trying to snatch Rui Fei's book one second and in the next, he was being thrown down. Now Rui Fei was lying on top of him with a sly grin on his face like he was enjoying this very much.
Ji Yao on the other hand was a hot ss. When Rui Fei was ignoring him he felt so annoyed he had to do sothing about it. He didn't like people keeping secrets from him which because of this he was already in a terrible mood. Two Rui Fei had said no to him a few days ago which rarely happened. It dampened his spirit a little and now he couldn't stand being ignored.
He was dying to know what Rui Fei was reading that captured his attention so much. Yes, he knew he was acting a little childish but the stuffy feeling in his heart wouldn't go away. Nothing in this entire cabin could draw this much of Rui Fei's attention as long as he is in the room.
Now there was a novel that actually managed to achieve the impossible. It's just that he didn't think he would be denied yet again or that he would end up in this compromising situation.
His heart was pounding like a drum with his gaze fixed on Rui Fei like cautious prey watching a predator. He didn't know what Rui Fei planned to do neither did he want to ask but he also didn't push him away. It was Rui Fei who got up on his own waving his novel around as though taunting him.
"If you read this you will get the shock of your life," he said before getting up to leave.
Ji Yao narrowed his eyes wondering where Rui Fei was going. Seeing the look on his face Rui Fei didn't keep him in suspense. He said, "I am going to read where there are no prying eyes."
Ji Yao, "....."
He was just curious about what he was reading that's all. Now he had the title of snoopy on his forehead. Rui Fei actually left after leaving behind a dumbfounded Ji Yao. Rui Fei didn't really want to leave. It's just that when he did that thing of pressing Ji Yao down he wanted to do a little more than that. Okay, not a little more but a whole lot more.
It was really difficult hanging around soone you like and not do anything to them. He monopolized Rui Yewan's space and read his novel in peace. By the ti he would be done reading he would have a drafted playbook to his road to confession.
While Rui Fei was finding so quiet ti, Ji Yao was lining them all up from Old Du to the lowest-ranking crew mbers. Soone will be willing to talk. But what should have been an easy interrogation turned into sothing else? It was as though all of them had decided to go against him. Let's not even talk about Big Hei. The guy was nowhere to be seen. It was as though he had jumped overboard and vanished into the ocean.
This is what Old Du had to say, "I didn't do nothing, I didn't see nothing and this speech is not being rehearsed... Can I interest you in so heat-clearing soup? It's my own creation."
Ji Yao nodded thinking, 'well it's hot so maybe I need sothing to cool off,' but the kind of heat Old Du was talking about was completely different from what Ji Yao was thinking.
Ji Yao drank it unknowingly and a sudden frisson spread all over his body making him shiver. His body didn't cool down plus he felt nothing.
"Anything?" asked Old Du with genuine interest in his eyes.
