A whole hour passed as we continued to wait inside the restaurant. We had already finished the dishes we ordered, but there were still no signs of action from the kidnappers. There was only one entrance and exit for the school, so they would definitely pass at the gate we were watching. We probably ca too early.
"This is boring," Agent Helios said as he stretched his body and leaned to the backrest of the couch he was sitting on.
"It can’t be helped," I sighed, feeling a little bored myself. "Waiting is part of the process. But don’t get lax and continue observing."
I was sitting in front of him at that ti, at the best angle to look at the school’s entrance gate.
"Why don’t you observe for now while I entertain myself with sothing else for a whole hour, then I can take the next hour and watch? It’s counter-productive if we will do the sa thing at the sa ti."

What the—how in the world did he not get a derit on his missions before if he was this lazy?

"Eyes on the gate, my dear—Oh, wait. I can’t call you that now, huh?"
Right. We had to remove our wedding rings since it was too noticeable given the uniqueness of the design, plus the size of the gems on them.

Blood rushed to my face soon enough. Ugh. I probably look like a red tomato or blushing like a teenager in love.

"Uhm," Agent Helios deliberately grunted so seductively. "I’d rather stare at you all day than so white wall and tal gate."
His breath tickled unto my skin as he spoke.

I averted my eyes off of him and pulled my hand away.
’Damn it! Why is my hand suddenly so sensitive today?’
As I averted my eyes and tried to bring my focus back on the gate I was observing earlier, I noticed the reflection of Agent Helios’ phone in the glass window beside him.
’Oh! I can see what he was so busy with on his phone! Hah! He’s probably looking at sothing naughty or evil—like people being tortured!’
But then, my ever-so-helpful-and-sharp eyes saw sothing different yet familiar. It was a picture of a woman sleeping. He tapped to the side of his screen, and the picture changed to another—the sa woman, still sleeping but in a different position, facing towards the other side, showing a bare back.
The reflection in the window wasn’t very clear, so it took a few pictures before I realized that the woman was none other than... !

’What the f*ck?! How dare he take a picture of sleeping?! When—How—What—Why?’
Angered, I snatched the phone from his hand and looked at the screen. Now that I’m seeing it up close, it truly was ! And my shoulders were bare with only the blanket covering my body, so that must an that he took those pictures after we... we... UGH!

I glared at him with all my might, though my black shades were in the way of delivering my death glares towards him.
Agent Helios laughed at my reaction. He tried to suppress it, but it was obvious he was laughing at !
"Took you a while to notice, given that I deliberately raised the brightness of my phone so it would reflect on the window," he said, chuckling and looking down at .
"Oh! So you deliberately did that, huh?" I snapped at him. "You think that’s funny, huh? How dare you take pictures of sleeping with nothing but a blanket covering my body?"
He laughed once again, then snatched his phone away from my hand. I tried to get it back, but his arms were longer than mine.
"Hey! Give that! Delete those pictures right now, or else I’ll report you for illegally taking pictures."
"Eh? But I’m your husband. I am allowed to take pictures of you," Agent Helios shrugged. Besides, you’re not naked. It looked sexy, yes, but it’s still safe to have on my phone."
"I said NO!"
"Shhh..." soone from the table behind us hushed us, probably because we were being too noisy already.
"I’m so sorry," I imdiately apologized and bowed in their direction.
Agent Helios snickered at . Then, he lifted his forefinger and put it across his mouth, telling to be quiet.
"Focus," he whispered. With his lips, he silently spelled out, "My dear wife."
The nerve of this guy. Soone remind again how in the world did I end up liking him?
Wanting to get back at him, I did the sa, silently dictating the words in my mouth and saying...
"No sex for you tonight, my evil lewd husband."

My lips curved into an evil grin while his smile faded from his face.

Just a few seconds after, Agent Helios smiled again as he leaned on the backrest of the couch. Then, he leaned his arms on the armrest and looked straight in the eyes.
’Now, what could he be thinking?’

We were in a public place, for goodness’ sake! It was good that the table’s cover extended to the floor, or anyone would have seen what he was doing. Since when did he remove his shoe?
I quickly looked down, grabbed his foot from under the table, and shoved it away. But he fought back and placed it "there" again!
His foot was rosy white and pretty like a woman’s, except it was bigger and had longer toes. No wonder why it was smooth. Tsk. Rich people. Darn it. Everything involving his body was beautiful to look at and smooth to touch.
I fought back again and used two hands this ti to shove his foot away. But then he used his other foot again, making it an equal two-on-two battle!
Losing my patience, I sighed and glared at him.

I then leaned back on the couch, removed my shoes, and raised my leg to touch him back down "there"—just like he did. I raised one of my eyebrows and smirked evilly at him while gently brushing my foot on his groin.
