Bill was currently standing outside of Novis's door, he wanted to ask what Novis's ga Id was so perhaps they could play online together in the future. The last ti they had played, it was a local match on the sa Wifi so there was no need for him to have his brothers ID.
As he was just about to knock on the door he could hear his brother shouting.
"What the hell, am I really that unlucky, You watched the matches right you have to tell what I'm doing wrong!"
"What do you an!"
"Does he have soone in there with him but I can't hear anyone else?" Bill thought perhaps Scarlett had co around while he was playing a ga so he didn't notice. Bill liked Scarlett a lot. he always wondered why his brother and she hadn't gotten together. If the two of them was an item then he would have even more people to play with bill thought.
Bill knocked on the door and said. "Hey, Novis is it okay if I co on."
"Yeah go on ahead. "
As Bill entered the room he started to look around but couldn't see anyone but Novis. "I thought I heard you talking to soone?"
Novis had been talking to Arthur earlier and realised that Bill must have heard him.
"No, I was just complaining to myself, you know ." He said with a nervous smile.
"I ca here to ask for your online ID."
"Oh yeah, it's ProNovis."
There was no need to enter the VR headset to add each other. There were many applications on the phone or computer you could use. This way you could send ssages to your friends or keep track of what they were doing whenever you wanted to.
"You do know everyone going to think you're a smurf with a na like that?" Bill said.
"People kept asking that, I don't even know what it ans."
Bill went on to explain to Novis what a smurf was and how many pro players or high tier players had second accounts with nas like that.
Just as Bill had added Novis he could see Noivs player ID with a little Bronze emblem and the number five next to it.
"You got B5 you must have lost all your gas."
Novis avoided eye contact and didn't say anything.
"You an you lost all ten gas, well at least if you play now you can play with people just like you."
It was getting late for both of them so it was ti for them to rest, after all, they both had school to attend the next day still. When Bill returned to his room he was interested in watching the matches that Novis had taken part in.
As long as I was within the last 24 hours and they were on your friendslist you could watch a replay of the gas. You can then further save the replay and watch it whenever you want.
Bill went through each of Novis's gas one by one, after watching all ten gas he ca to the conclusion that Novis was just unlucky. Novis had done badly in the first few gas because he was still getting used to the team aspect.
Then Novis started to make so good decision in the middle gas but the other players were just better and stronger than his team. For the last few gas though it seed Novis decided to try to listen to his teammates.
This was were his true downfall was, in high tier gas it was important to work as a team and communication was important but in low tier gas, this would hinder you completely. people who thought they knew what they were doing didn't, it was best to just make decisions on your own to turn the tide of the ga.
Back in Novis's room, Novis was also looking at the ga he played, all he could see in his eyes was the huge skill difference between him and Arthur. he thought that f Arthur had played those gas he would have won them all.
"Arthur, how did you get so strong?"
"From a young age, I was forced to fight to put food on the table. Eventually, a knight saw and said I had potential recruiting into his army. The knight who recruited beca my teacher, my teacher was obsessed with the sword. His beautiful fighting style had morised. He had a dream to create a sword style that was unbeatable sadly he died and passed this task on to . Originally I wanted to just complete the task for my saviour but I guess his obsession beca my obsession."
"What about the sword do you know why you were trapped inside it."
Arthur had a sad look on his face before he answered.
"That is a tale for another ti."
Novis thought about what Arthur had said it was different in the past were sword fighting was common. He had been forced into it later learning to love it. Novis wanted to say this was the reason why he couldn't get better but that wasn't true. At the tournant, his brother and even Lucas all had a strong passion for the sword.
Novis couldn't help but think did he have the sa drive as them to get better. So people played the ga for money, so played for fa and so just for fun wanting it to be their jobs but Novis didn't have a reason like that. After seeing so many strong opponents play his desire was simple, he just wanted to be strong.
"Arthur, can you teach how to be strong."
Arthur smiled
"I thought you would never ask."
Arthur could slowly see that Novis was getting interested in the world of swords and fighting but he didn't want to push him and frighten him away. He had to wait until Novis was ready to ask and wanted to learn on his own. This was the turning point.
