I sighed as I looked around my cluttered living room. I had spent the morning cleaning and organizing, but now I was bored out of my mind. I had nothing to do, and no one to talk to.

I picked up my phone and dialed Zion’s number, hoping he would answer. But when he did, he sounded distracted. "Hey, Sharon. I’m busy right now. Can I call you back later?"

I felt disappointed. "Okay, no problem. Just call when you’re free."

Next, I tried calling Maxie, but she didn’t answer. Instead, she sent a text. "Hey, girl. I’m slamd at the office. Can talk later?"

I felt a bit miffed. Didn’t anyone want to talk to ?

I dialed Beatrice’s number, and she answered on the first ring. "Hey, Sharon! How’s it going?"

"Hey, Bea! I’m good, thanks. Just bored out of my mind. I was thinking about you and thought I’d give you a call," I said, settling into the couch.

"Aw, I’m so glad you did! I was just thinking about you. You know, the office has been so boring without you," Beatrice said, and I could hear the smile in her voice.

"Yeah, I know what you an. I’ve been feeling a bit restless myself. But I’m hoping to get back to work soon," I replied, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Beatrice.

We chatted for a while, catching up on each other’s lives and sharing stories. Beatrice was easy to talk to, and I found myself laughing and joking with her everyti.

But just as we were getting into a particularly funny story, Beatrice’s tone changed. "Hey, Sharon, I’m so sorry, but I have to go. I have soone waiting for ."

"Oh, okay. No problem, Bea. It was great catching up with you," I said, feeling a bit disappointed again that our conversation had to end.

"Yeah, sa here. Let’s catch up again soon?" Beatrice said, and before I could respond, she hung up the call.

I looked at my phone, feeling a bit surprised by the sudden goodbye. But I shrugged it off and settled back into the couch, starting to browse through my phone again.

After operating my phone for a while, I settled into my favorite spot on the couch, remote control in hand, and began to flip through the TV channels. Nothing caught my attention, so I started browsing through my phone again, almost tempted to call Aec.

"I’d rather call Marcus" then I proceeded to dialling his number

Suddenly, my phone buzzed with an incoming ssage. I picked it up, expecting it to be one of my friends responding to a text. But instead, I saw a ssage from a company I had never heard of, offering a job.

I sat up straight, my eyes fixed on the screen. What? How did they even get my contact information? And what was this job about?

I read the ssage again, my heart racing with excitent. Could this be the opportunity I’ve been waiting for? I thought about responding, but then I decided to read more about the company first.

I started searching for the company online, and what I found surprised . They seed like a reputable company, and the job description matched my skills and experience.

I couldn’t believe it. Was this really happening? I thought about calling Maxie back, but then I decided to wait until tomorrow or till she got back from work. I didn’t want to jinx it.

As I continued to browse through my phone, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that this job offer was exactly what I needed.

I held my phone in my hands, the email confirmation of my interview staring back at . The company was called NovaTech, and I was scheduled to et with their team in three days.

I felt a mix of excitent and nerves as I read through the email again. I had researched NovaTech, and they seed like a great company with a strong mission and values that aligned with my own.

I spent the next few hours preparing for the interview, researching common questions, and practicing my responses even when I was not entirely sure I was going to be there for the interview. I also made a list of questions to ask the interviewer, hoping to show my interest in the company and the role.

I knew I wasn’t supposed to trust it, it could be a scam offer.

I spent the rest of the day searching for any information I could find about the company. I scoured the internet, looking for reviews, testimonials, and any other details that might give an edge in the interview.

As the hours ticked by, I found myself checking the clock every few minutes, waiting for Maxie to get ho from work. I was eager to share the news with her and get her take on things.

Just as I was starting to think Maxie would be late, I heard the door open and close. "Hey, I’m ho!" she called out.

I was about to respond when my phone rang. It was Zion. "Hey, what’s up?" he asked, sounding cheerful.

"Hey, Zion! Oh my gosh, I have so much to tell you," I said, barely containing my excitent. "I got a job offer from a company, and I’m going in for an interview in three days. I’m really nervous, but I’m also super excited."

I noticed the shock on Maxie’s face " Shut up..."

"That’s amazing news!" Zion exclaid. "Tell more about it. What kind of company is it?"

I filled him in on the details, trying to convey my enthusiasm and uncertainty. Zion listened attentively, asking questions and making supportive noises.

"Hey, why don’t we grab dinner and talk more about it?" Zion suggested. "I want to hear more about this company and what’s got you so excited."

I agreed, feeling a surge of gratitude towards my friend. "That sounds great. When were you thinking?"

"How about now?" Zion asked. "We could grab dinner at that new restaurant you’ve been wanting to try."

I glanced at the clock and saw that it was just about ti for Maxie to fill in on my plans "Yeah, that sounds perfect. Let just let Maxie know, and I’ll et you there."

I ended the call and I quickly filled Maxie in on the plans and wanted to rush to my room. "I’ll see you later, B! I’ll tell you all about it when I get back."

"Hey, wait a minute," Maxie said, a mischievous glint in her eye. "I want to co with you to et Zion. We can all grab dinner together and hear more about this job."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by Maxie’s sudden interest in joining us. "Are you sure you are not too tired?" I asked, but Maxie was already nodding enthusiastically.

"Yeah, let’s all go together," she said. "That way, we can all discuss the job and give you advice."

I shrugged, happy to have Maxie along for the ride. "Okay, sure. Zion won’t mind."

"Great," Maxie said, already heading towards the room. "I’ll just change and grab my purse, and we can head out."

I nodded and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower and get ready. A few minutes later, I erged feeling refreshed and dressed in a casual outfit.

Maxie was waiting for in the living room, her purse slung over her shoulder. "Ready to go?" she asked, and I nodded.

We left the house together, chatting and laughing as we walked to the restaurant where we were eting Zion. I was excited to share the details of the job with both of them, it felt surreal, at least I was able to take my mind off Aec....
