Lin Feilu ca out from behind the stone mill smiling and opened her arms, “Brother!”
Lin Zhanyuan scread and rushed towards her, plunging into her arms.
The two hugged each other as they scread and danced.
“Younger sister!”
“Elder brother!”
“Younger sister!”
“Elder brother!”
Lin Zhanyuan flushed with joy before he pulled her and ran towards the group of children, enthusiastically introducing her to them, “This is my sister! Her na is Little Lu!”
The children’s faces were dirt-filled when they raised their heads, but their smiles were extraordinarily pure. The kids shouted in unison, “Sister Little Lu!”
Lin Feilu smiled and took out the unfinished candies she brought along for the trip from her arms and distributed them to the children individually. Lin Zhanyuan was envious as he anxiously reached out to grab it. Lin Feilu patted the back of his hand, “Elder brother’s hands are dirty, so don’t touch them!”
He withdrew his hand aggrievedly, opening his mouth again and moving closer, “Ah~”
Lin Feilu smiled and fed him two candies.
Only then was he happy, his eyes forming crescents as he smiled. Lin Feilu touched his head and asked softly, “Elder brother, are you happy here?”
Lin Zhanyuan nodded quickly, “I’m happy! It’s fun! I have so many friends!” He paused, sniffed again, and said aggrievedly, “I just miss my younger sister.”
Lin Feilu leaned over and hugged him, “Your younger sister is here now, and I will co visit you every year.”
He twisted his body in embarrassnt, “I’ll give my sister a hug for a bit though. Now that I’m grown up, I can’t hug you for too long.”
Lin Feilu couldn’t help but laugh at her brother’s antics.
Song Jinglan led the horse towards them and approached.
Lin Zhanyuan shyly left his sister’s arms and looked up. He then saw the man who smiled at him warmly and pointed happily, “It’s Seventh Brother!”
He didn’t et many people and didn’t encounter too many things either. In his simple life, he rembered every person who was kind to him.
Lin Feilu corrected him, “How many tis have I told you by now? He’s not Seventh Brother!”
Lin Zhanyuan still pointed to himself as he once did before, “I’m the Sixth!” Then, he pointed to Song Jinglan, “So he’s the Seventh!”
Afterwards, he shouted very confidently, “Seventh Brother!”
Song Jinglan smiled and nodded, “Mm, hello, Sixth Brother.”
Lin Zhanyuan was very happy as he turned to Lin Feilu and showed off, “I was right!”
Lin Feilu, “Yes, yes, alright. My elder brother was right.”
Lin Zhanyuan shook his head out of excitent. He originally wanted to reach out to hold his sister, but then he rembered that his hands were dirty from playing with the marbles just now, so he rubbed them against his clothes and held Lin Feilu’s dangling cuff instead, “Sister, I’ll bring you to see the little animals!”
Lin Feilu smiled and asked, “What small animals are there?”
Lin Zhanyuan snapped his fingers whilst walking, “There’s a bunch of them! We have puppies, kittens, bunnies, foxes, monkeys and one that has a lot of thorns! That one was new!”
Lin Feilu cooperated nicely, “Wow, you have a little hedgehog?”
In fact, Lin Zhanyuan didn’t know the na of the new animal that the martial brothers of the Qin Mountain had sent. However, if his sister said it was a hedgehog, then so it shall be.
So he nodded seriously, “Y-yes, it’s a little hedgehog!”
Prince Qi’s Mansion was built behind the village, with the Qin Mountain situated right outside his backyard. A stream flowing down from the mountain would then into the nearby lake. A few waterfowl and white geese were floating on the lake, which was an ample open space surrounded by a fence. Around the area were a ton of wooden houses, looking just like an animal shelter.
