"Get the flag."

One of the fighters shouted. The others tried to hold the struggling cyclops down but it shook so of them off with a roar.

It lunged towards the nearest student, who tried to jump back, but it was too late; it caught him and threw him into its open mouth.

The others, seeing this, doubled their efforts as they shot their spells at it. An archer standing at the back of the fighters shot his arrow towards the cyclone, eye-piercing it.

The cyclops, having lost its eyes, started to scramble as it scread, thrashing around everywhere, but the fighters, much to their credit, managed to avoid everything.

"Get the flag."

A female voice pierced through the noise. The saintess, I could recognise her voice everywhere. She was standing a bit further from the fight, a green spell circle in front of her.

A healing spell. The fighters were able to fight continuously because of her healing. That was when I noticed her dear brother among the fighters, weilding a golden sword. He had been at the back of the cyclops, hence I didn’t see him.

"Its the golden flag."

Abeloin murmured excitedly. On top of the cyclops’ head was the golden flag. This was the ultimate flag for every student. Anyone who had it automatically gets a hundred flags. A large number of flags had been scattered everywhere.

"Should I get you the flag master?"

Luna asked her eyes following the flag on the struggling cyclops head.

"No."

We continued watching as the group battled the cyclops, losing two more people before they were able to bring it down. The saint stood over its chest, the golden sword glinting in the sunlight, and stabbed it down.

The cyclops struggled, but the sword in its heart just made its struggles vain. It lay still as blood started to flow from the wound and its open mouth.

The group cheered looking up at the saint who raised his bloodied sword up in the air. The saintess leaped on her brother and hugged him a cheerful smile on her face. They really did match their image especially with the sun shining on them.

"You can bring the flag back luna. "

Luna nodded and flashed through the group and picked the still-attached golden flag before they could react. The saint tried to catch her, but he failed since Luna flashed back to . She presented the flag to , and I turned my attention to the group.

"Why would you do that, young master Lucian?

The saintess questioned behind the group. Every one of them had their weapons drawn, but only the saint had his sword pointed at while standing in front of her sister. He was still looking at with that venomous look of his.

"It was on the ground."

I said nonchalantly while twirling the very flag around.

"A lot of lives were sacrificed just to get the flag. Please return the flag. It is an honour for the lives that have been lost."

The saintess said as her eyes teared up. Tears started to drip causing everyone around her to turn and comfort her. I rolled my eyes at that.

"What’s that got to do with ?"

The saintess now started to cry even louder as she occasionally glanced at .

"How could you do this to my sister. You always make her cry."

I shrugged my shoulders and turned to leave.

"I would be trying to find more flags if I were you, the ti is almost up."

I said as my last act of rcy.

"You are not going anywhere until you apologize to my sister."

The saint shouted. I could feel his footsteps approaching rapidly. I sighed. Just how stupid was he?

I turned around and kicked him straight in his stomach sending him back until he was caught by one of his teammates. He held his stomach and coughed up blood but he still looked at venomously.

"Rember what I warned you the last ti?"

A white spell appeared in front of . The others in the group scrambled as shields were ford in front of all of them.

’Icicles’

Small pieces of ice shot out of the circle aid directly at the group. The ice pierced through the shield, shattering it into pieces. Everyone scrambled to defend themselves after the initial shock. I wasn’t aiming for them but at the white-haired boy standing in front of his sister.

A scream vibrated through the group as my icicles t my target.

"I told you if you stare at like that i’ll pop your eyeballs."

The saintess held her kneeling brother whose eyes were bleeding her tears more real now. A spell ford in front of his eyes as she tried to heal him.

"Why would you be so cruel?"

She said her eyes filled with distress.

"He should learn to keep his eyes to himself. "

"You monster."

She spat those words filled with hate.

"Thank you for the complint," I paused, contemplating, " you know what, give all your flags. I could have left them to you but your saint just had to attack unprovoked. "

The others handed their flag to Isis who went around collecting them.

"How many?"

Abeloin asked her to take the flags in her hands.

"Thirty, master."

Abelion smiled and added them to the pile he was carrying. We left the group and sank back into the forest.

"Since you’ve attacked the saint won’t the church hold you accountable?"

Luna asked, the familiar worry slipping into her voice. I chuckled at that.

"No. I didn’t kill him, it’s just blinding him. He will still be a saint without eyes. "

Luna nodded in understanding.

We spent the rest of the ti moving around the forest with Abeloin fought low level beast through the forest and collectingextra flags. I tried to search for more zelph flowers, but it seed I had exhausted everything.

As the sun started to set, the teleportation spell appeared under our feet, and we found ourselves back at the academy.

"Welco back, students, please step forward with your flag, starting with the bearer of the golden flag."

Murmurs filled the arena as everyone started to look around. I could feel eyes staring at , and I turned to see the saintess and her group staring at . The saint had his eyes bandaged with small amounts of blood having seeped in.

I took the flags we had managed to collect from Abeloin and stepped forward. I left eighty flags for him for submission. This will give him a high score.

I gave the flag to the combat instructor who placed it on a small table for counting.

"One golden flag and an extra one hundred and sixty, that would be two hundred and sixty thats more than half. Impressive, young master Lucian, you have broken the record."

The principle announced after the counting.

"Thank you."

He shook my hands happily his eyes filled with excitent. I glanced at Seraph who rolled her eyes the mont our eyes t.

"As promised, the winner will get an opportunity to train with Sir Drakein. "

"Headmaster, is it okay if I change the rewards to sothing else?"

Whispers filled the arena the mont I made my request. I didn’t want to train with that magician. If I wanted training, it would be better to go to my mother, she is the best teacher.

"That’s a surprise, but I suppose you can as long as it’s within my control. "

I nodded.

"It’s nothing major, I would like to be allowed on the sixth floor of the library ."

Everyone went silent after my request. The sixth floor was the place where forbidden books were kept. Only the headmaster and the instructors could enter."

"Unfortunately, I cannot fulfill your request. How about you use the fifth floor, and I’ll grant you an additional wish."

I smiled sadly.

"It’s okay, headmaster, I don’t mind the fifth floor, I got too excited, that’s all. I wanted to request a necromancer. "

Gasps filled the arena. Seraph stood up and walked towards her eyes blazing. She covered my mouth and pulled back.

"I’m sorry, head master, Lucian can be a bit spontaneous, he didn’t an it."

She said and started to pull away. I followed her. The request had only been a trial.

"It’s okay, Miss Seraph, I did make a promise to your brother. If I find a necromancer, I will bring them to you, or you can bring your own ."

I nodded despite Seraph still pulling away. It would be easier for him to find a necromancer than for . Necromancers aren’t very welco in the kingdom.

"Why on earth would you make that request lucian?"

Seraph had pulled away from the arena and into one of the empty first-year classes.

"What else was I supposed to ask for? I do need a necromancer. If I make an official request, I’ll be able to get them to enter the academy officially ."

Seraph sighed and placed her head on my right shoulder.

"You know what? You’re impossible. "

I patted her back softly.
