"You should go back, your sister will be waking soon. She’s been too worried to sleep well."

Mother said after we finished our talk.

I paused.

"What about your mother? Did you miss ?"

I asked and leaned my head against her shoulder. She ran her hand through my hair softly.

I closed my eyes in bliss while waiting for her answer.

"Do not ever do sothing so reckless again. From today on, if you leave I’ll be going with you."

She said her hand tugging briefly at my hair. I nodded.

’She really missed ’

"What about the duchy mother?"

I asked.

"It can run well by itself. The butler and my attendants are aware of everything that is needed. "

She said evenly. I had thought she was fully attached to the duchy since it’s our ancestral ho.

"What about the beast tide?"

I asked.

"The other duchies are struggling. There seems to be a rise of a new beast king but I ca here so I didn’t see it."

"Maybe it’s the fire dragon or another type?"

She nodded while deep in thought.

"Have you ever wondered if it might be your Phoenix fault?"

I turned my attention to Athena who was lounging by my mana pool. She had really made herself at ho.

’No, my pressure was fully isolated in my world. It must be another dragon looking for a way to evolve faster."

I turned to my mother.

"No, she said she didn’t do it. It might just be a dragon that woke up and is very hungry."

I simply said. Mother would get what I was trying to convey.

"Do you want to go back to the kingdom at the mont?"

She asked. I could feel her full support from her words.

"Yes, this beast tide seed to have accelerated my plan. I planned it for next year but it seems I’ll be going for it this early."

I absentmindedly said while glancing down at our intertwined fingers.

"What plan are you talking about, how co I never knew anything like that?"

She demanded her hand softly tagging at my hair again. I chuckled.

"I can’t tell you now since it’s an experint and I wish to get the results first before I explain. "

Mother’s hand paused long enough for to escape her grip. She had slowly been tightening her hold over .

"Will it harm you?"

I shook my head.

"Its just an experintal spell nothing serious."

I dismissed her worry. I couldn’t reveal to her that what I was about to do was equally dangerous and might just cause a lot of permanent damage but this was the easiest way I could find.

The little notebook I had found with the count’s daughter had a lot of helpful things, though I had not managed to understand everything.

"We should leave tomorrow, I do not like this hot weather."

She said.

"That would be good. I wanted to ask you mother, what about the saint and the saintess, are they still alive?"

I asked curiously. Since I had cut off connection with Blair, I couldn’t receive any news from him.

’I should probably find him when I arrive at the capital’

"They should be okay. When I left they had been blessed with the God of light’s blood. They should have a boost in strength by now."

She said like it was the most normal thing. Everyone knew the blood of Gods were powerful to mortals but only the chosen one could inject it.

I was sure there must be another way but I couldn’t find out at the mont.

"I do hope they can entertain , I would need their help on sothing in the future. "

I said sinisterly. I was genuinely hopeful they would be able to last long enough, my final step in my plans would require their help with or without their consent.

I stood up.

"I should be leaving. Good night mother."

I leaned in and kissed her softly. She returned it with the sa ferocity.

’I missed this’

We separated and I walked out of her room under her gaze. I closed the door softly behind and leaned my weight on the wall beside the door waiting for my erection to calm down.

While I did want to bed her, there were too many things going on in my mind and I didn’t want to give her half effort makeup intercourse.

I walked back into Seraph’s room to find her still peacefully sleeping.

I took a quick cold bath and got into bed beside her. I pulled her slightly warm body close to , enjoying the little heat her body was providing.

...

Morning was a bevy of activities as all the girls prepared themselves for our hurried leaving.

I sat down at the inn’s guest area and drank tea peacefully as I waited for them to organise themselves.

After getting an increase in my power. I could now teleportat any where i wanted if I just had a vague idea of what it looked like or so sort of connection to a person I was teleporting near.

"Look at all your mothers, they’re disorganised aren’t they?"

Kisha who was passing by shot a glare. I smiled and turned my attention to Cora who was sitting on my leg eating her own hands.

I had been surprised when mother ca downstairs with her and placed her on my lap before going to help Seraph.

Cora had grown in the last month. She looked like a six-month-old despite being less than three months old.

The growth and gene potions had really been working their wonders on her body.

Despite being blinds her senses had grown shaper and she would sotis blubber while spitting on my dress.

"They should be done by now," I hauled her up and stood up with Cora in my arms," let’s go prepare a teleportation circle. "

She wrapped her hands around my neck and leaned against my body.

Outside, a large space had been cleared for the spell circles.

"Are you sure you can do such a large-scale teleportation?"

I heard Athena say in my soul space. I nodded.

"All these spells follow the sa structure and this is no different. "

"As you say, I was only warning you."

She said and closed her eyes completely ignoring . I shrugged and walked towards the center of the open space and started to formulate a spell.

Those passing by would occasionally glance at but I ignored them and continued with what I was doing.

Slowly by slowly the spell ford itself until it lay beneath ready for to push extra mana into and activate it.

I turned back to see the others standing there looking at .

"You did it!"

Seraph exclaid and stepped into the circle. Everyone else followed and each chose a designated place.

"Do you really want to go?"

I asked Amna who had her arms folded. She nodded.

"Yes, I must prepare you for the eventual wedding. What if you run away before I even finish planning? I have already sent a ssage to my father that I have found a husband. "

She said everything with a straight face. You could imagine the shock in everyone’s faces as they turned and looked at .

"Lucian what the bloody hell is going on?"

Seraph asked confused. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Apparently, I’m about to be forcefully wed," I chuckled," ... prepare yourself, the teleportation will now start."

The spell below glowed a mixture of white and blue before it covered us and we teleported.

.....

"What in the world is happening here? This is worse than I thought. "

Seraph shouted as she looked down at the black fire dragon and beasts outside the capital. The dragon looked older probably three hundred years old, and I could feel the power radiating from it.

It was weird as it is for a dragon to suddenly awaken and decide to attack the kingdom. Hunger would not be the only driving force.

The capital was fully surrounded and they seed to be losing. Signs of a fierce battle were there with bodies of both humans and beasts scattered around.

"It seems we ca early."

I said. I had been hoping for the beasts to have already broken through the city walls but it seems they still held ground.

"Isn’t that Sir Drakein?"

Abelion pointed excitedly at the man fighting the dragon. Though he looked okay on the outside, he seed to be struggling to maintain this colossal beast.

"Let’s go, we need to et Blair."

Since they were distracted and the teleportation circle was high above the capital, no one noticed our arrival and I would have liked us to remain unknown for a little while.

"Are you sure this is the right place?"

Seraph asked while looking around the road we were walking on.

I nodded and placed my hand on my lips to tell her to maintain silence.
