Anthony, Estefany, and Perséfone followed the plant, whose attitude remained completely indifferent. They advanced through corridors covered in moss, guided by the plant assuring them it would lead them to the heart of the main volcano. The plant expressed its willingness to help in their search for what they needed.
Anthony hesitated at first, but he rembered he was protected by two sacred-ranked beings, so he decided to move forward without worries.
They walked for several hours, delving deeper into an underground tunnel. From that place, they had a perfect view of the imposing volcano in front of them. The plant continued to advance indifferently until it abruptly stopped, its green eyes focused on Anthony. With its vines, it pointed forward.
Anthony approached and followed its gaze, discovering a large number of ants coming in and out of the volcano, so carrying plants or animals with them.
"That's the only entrance," declared the plant with its usual indifference. Its cold eyes settled on the kids. "If you want to defeat the queen and everything inside, I would recomnd activating the volcano," it added before turning back the way they had co. Anthony observed the plant for a mont, finding it difficult to understand how it could be content with such a detached attitude.
Anthony looked at the dark tunnel ahead of him and understood that the darkness was conducive for soone capable of moving through shadows or darkness. With a gesture, he covered the girls with his aura, and they disappeared, their bodies navigating through the darkness of the tunnel. Inside, the anthill seed like any other, with nurous tunnels and corridors scattered throughout the place.
Using his senses, Anthony perceived that the queen was deep inside the volcano. They moved through the tunnels downward, and as they descended, the air beca hotter, even the walls took on a reddish hue. As they descended, they encountered fewer ants roaming the area.
Finally, they reached a spacious area, marveling at the environnt. The walls were ford by crystal resembling diamonds, but behind them stretched a red sea of slowly moving magma. Anthony scrutinized with his red eyes, sensing the presence of the Mid-Titan-ranked creature in the area, although he couldn't see it directly.
They cautiously advanced, enduring the almost unbearable heat of the place, although the darkness surrounding them provided so relief. Soon, they spotted another tunnel in the area and decided to enter it. This place was much smaller than the previous one, but here was the ant queen. Its body was pure white and it wore a kind of crown on its head, sleeping in its splendor.
Anthony's eyes fell on the four unique-level artifacts embedded in its crown. Four crystals glead on its surface, and he frowned at the thought of how to remove the crown from the ant without it noticing, a task almost impossible. However, the upside was that there were no more ants in that place.
He turned his gaze to the girls and indicated for them to go outside, in case any ants appeared, he needed them to eliminate them as quietly as possible. He would take care of the sleeping ant. Estefany and Perséfone nodded and left the cave.
The mont he was alone with the ant, Anthony drew his sword, his eyes turning cold. Activating his shadow step ability, he executed a vertical strike with determination. The ant's eyes widened as it sensed Anthony's killing intent. Quickly, it moved its huge body and opened its pincers, and Anthony felt that sothing was about to happen.
In an act of instinct, he released his mana, allowing darkness to envelop him rapidly. The room plunged into darkness within seconds. At that mont, the ant queen emitted a sharp cry, a call to its subjects that echoed in the darkness.
Anthony smiled, rembering when the plant revealed that the ant queen had the ability to call its subjects when it felt threatened. It also ntioned that ant queens were not skilled in combat. The ant was bewildered for a mont, and Anthony took advantage of that mont to wield his sword.
The creature reacted by opening its pincers again, and its antennae moved frantically. Without hesitation, Anthony perford a quick horizontal attack, cutting the antennae on its head. The ant emitted a miserable cry, and Anthony frowned, thinking that the fight was being too easy.

He carefully observed the ant and noticed that it was protecting sothing behind it. He discovered a pile of eggs. A smile appeared on Anthony's face. He knew that a mother's worst weakness was the protection of its offspring. He had the advantage.
Activating his shadow step ability again, he appeared behind the ant and cut so of the eggs with his sword. The ant seed to go berserk and ran towards him at full speed. It opened its mouth and spewed a green substance. Anthony increased the pressure with his aura, and from his sword erged a black orb that completely absorbed the green liquid upon contact.
Anthony activated his shadow step ability again and appeared over the ant queen. With a quick movent, he cut off its legs, eliciting another cry of pain from the creature. Indifferent to its suffering, Anthony focused his attention back on the eggs. He noticed a strange substance on them and wondered if they had just been laid.
If that were the case, it ant that the ant queen would also be weak and without energy.
anwhile, the ant queen crawled on the floor with resentnt and hatred in its eyes, but Anthony smiled at its helplessness. With his sword, he began to cut the other eggs, causing more sharp cries from the queen. However, he couldn't stop. After a few monts, Anthony calmly approached it, surprised at how easy everything was.
Satisfied with himself, he compared his feeling to Angela's when helped by the animals. With a quick movent, he cut off the queen's head without any problem.
"Truly satisfying," whispered Anthony as he plucked the crystals from the crown. The crystals were of unique level, but the crown itself was a decent-level artifact too; he stored them all in his ring.
