"What do we do next?" asked Persephone after filling her water bottle. She looked at the white-haired boy, who was scanning the forest ahead of them.
"I suppose we should enter the pyramid, but I can sense so creatures around it," he said, frowning. "One creature is a Base-Titan rank, and the other two are Maximum-Demon," he added, his red eyes piercing her with a smile. "Tell , do you think you can handle those two, or would you prefer to help you kill the titan first, and then we deal with the others?
But keep in mind that there will be noise, and we'll attract attention. What do you prefer?"
Persephone hesitated. She was only of Base-Gold rank. "I think it's better if you help kill the titan," she said with an uneasy smile.
"Perfect, then we'll move silently," he concluded before starting to move.
Persephone, as a mage, had so difficulties. There were huge rocks on the ground, grass that grew almost two ters tall, and also so poisonous plants.
"Watch out for the mushroom in front of you," heard the voice of the white-haired boy. Persephone opened her eyes and saw a small mushroom beneath her.
"How did you know?" she asked curiously. Anthony smiled. "It was glowing. Anything that glows is often poison on many occasions, especially when it cos to plants."
They walked for a few more minutes and then stopped. A thin layer of darkness erged from his body and slid like water across the ground. Anthony stopped and said, "Stay behind. When you see the signal, get out of this place. Understand?"
Persephone nodded as she watched him disappear. She stayed silent, but after a few monts, she opened her eyes: "Wait, he didn't tell what the signal was," she thought to herself, with wide eyes she didn't dare move.

Anthony looked at the titan, a creature 5 ters tall, with a lot of white fur around its neck, black stone color, two long horns on its head sticking out to the sides, and a huge tail with white fur, it was horrible in few words, it had so horns around its arm, it was walking around a rocky courtyard, aimlessly, doubting for a mont, he disappeared, activating his shadow step, his sword filled with aura, appearing behind the titan, he grabbed the sword handle tightly.
Slashhh!
The sword cut through the titan's tough flesh, who roared and turned around, charging with its two huge horns like an enraged bull. Darkness erupted like a bomb, enveloping the surroundings in shadows. So tentacles erged from the ground and grabbed her tightly. Anthony ran and cut off the titan's head, his expression blank for a mont.
He watched as the titan's huge head rolled to his feet, surprised at how easy it had been.
He stood still for a few monts, contemplating the scene. The darkness covering the ground began to rise around him. It was beautiful, a total darkness that seed to fear Anthony and he it. It was different, very different, sothing about it was strange. Anthony raised his hand and tried to touch it; his mana passed through it, and he felt a dense, cool sensation, like a liquid.
The darkness fell back to the ground and spread to the other creatures. Once under their feet, it lded around their bodies and crushed them like ants, killing them instantly.
"This could be addictive," thought Anthony internally, with a smile, as he observed the surroundings. He disappeared from the place with a movent of his shadow step, reappearing where he had left Persephone.
He looked at the girl who was standing with her back to him, an aura of caution emanating from her. As he touched her shoulder, she jumped with a scream, reacting instinctively to his presence. The girl got on guard, raising her hands in a defensive stance, like a feline ready for combat: "Let's go, I've taken care of everyone," he said to Persephone.
In a flash, the two disappeared from the place and reappeared in front of the imposing pyramid. The structure rose majestically before them. Anthony estimated its height to be about 50 ters.
Vaguely recalling in his mories about this place, Anthony knew that hidden inside the pyramid were treasures: an artifact and a unique crystal. However, he had no intention of claiming those treasures for himself. Instead, his focus was on Persephone, to help her reach the first place in the event.
After all, he had already accumulated enough points in the previous event, and this is the only way for her to ascend in class.
Climbing up the stairs, which led to the main entrance, had greenish moss and a slightly damp sll. Upon reaching the top, they found themselves in a large space, a hallway in a few words. There were small holes in the walls, and the floor was shaped like squares. Sohow, it seed a lot like the trap that was always in these kinds of places.
"Can you look for traps or hidden chanisms?" Anthony asked Persephone. She put her hand on the floor, and her sickly green mana ca out of her hands. It was unpleasant and horrible, at least for the naive and foolish who had no idea what kind of magic it was. Read the latest on My Virtual Library Empire
"You're amazing, Persephone. Your magic is considered forbidden and evil by the church, but they won't have any choice but to accept it," thought Anthony with a smile. She closed her eyes and stayed still for a few monts, then opened them and they glowed faintly. "I can't find anything," she said as she got up. Anthony nodded, trusting Persephone's verdict.
They walked down the hallway for a few minutes, and Anthony noticed it was getting narrower. At one point, they had to go sideways to be able to move forward. At the end of the hallway, they found a spiral staircase leading to the second floor, there were so corpses on the ground, many of them, but there was sothing strange: the corpses ford a circle around the staircase.
