Villain's Odyssey: Enslaving heroines, Conquering Villainesses Chapter 55: The Problem with Being Too Beautiful
"What’s wrong?" he asked calmly, to which she just kept staring at him, but eventually, she said, "It’s... nothing," she smiled, though the smile wasn’t exactly a genuine one.
"...Okay," he said, and she then added, "Let’s go," to which he nodded, walked behind the wheelchair and continued until they reached the teleportation zone. After performing the very sa process they did while coming to Elfla—which was purchasing tickets and verifying their identity—they headed for the portal and found themselves at the teleportation zone of the Academy. They weren’t alone as many students who had as well left occasionally appeared from the portal.
"Wow... damn, take a look at that guy."
"... I haven’t seen him before, is he a senior?"
"Kyaaaaa!"
With more people available, the effect of Asher’s looks, which for so reason had even intensified a bit more, could be seen. So people literally froze looking at him and that made him...
Worry.
This was a major problem. Yes, there was benefit from being this good looking and he was actually aware of that, however, there was also a major downside—a downside that could bring about an end to everything he had planned for so long.
The very sa thing that happened to him as Noel.
Yes, that was part of the issue. If so psycho took liking to him, like... Emilia had. There would be a major issue as he was basically powerless to defend himself against such an advance. It would even be worse if the said person turned out stronger and more powerful than him just as had happened with Noel. He would be an absolute IDIOT to say Emilia didn’t have a hand in that accident that led to him being paralyzed back then. From the mont he had woken up in that hospital paralyzed, he had had his suspicions. And with ti, he confird it. Even further, he found out that the ’dicine’ she used on him was not to actually heal him... it in fact did the opposite, keeping him in the condition he was in, having to remain dependent on her.
That was the major problem he was talking about. After all, it was like that with Auston’s harem. The only reason sothing bad hadn’t happened to him was because of his black hole personality and the fact he was just as strong, if not stronger than most of the girls. But that was not the case for Asher. His only access to ether was through his slave seal and if he tried to use it, he would expend it in an instant leaving him powerless. If so girl... soone like Tracy who was extrely powerful for so reason beca like Emilia, then that would be a major problem. Chances of her finding a way to cage him just as it had happened with Noel was 85.542% and rising.
He had to do sothing about this... and fast.
"Asher, let’s go," he heard Natalia’s voice, and it had lost all its innocence.
It was dark.
Completely.
[It seems you have a problem] he heard.
’Nothing I can’t handle,’ he replied.
he thought secretly.
"Sure," he said, pushing the wheelchair back to her dorm, trying to ignore the blatant hateful as well as lustful glances at various angles.
At this point he ca to a conclusion. Natalia was unstable, far more unstable than he thought. In fact, from the very beginning, she was getting familiar with him too easily, even to the point of slowly acting like he was so old friend instead of a recent acquaintance. She trusted him too much, and that was not matching her character. She was not soone to easily trust others, considering the turmoil she had and her condition coupled with blatant intentions she sensed from people who approached her, so it was sowhat unsettling for her to so quickly befriend him. Yes, his attitude and approach might have helped, but even for him, this was overwhelming. His calculation did not reach such possibilities, and his initial prediction of today’s conclusion of eting her was for her to be ’interested’ in him, which would then be the basis for which he would build friendship from, utilizing ’coincidences’ to bring about ’unforeseen’ situations for which he would save her, and all the other cliche routes that worked, to build an unbreakable bond with her. But now, now it felt like... she would do anything, all he had to do was ask.
And that was disturbing... even for him.
It was too fast, and sothing this fast tended to be unstable and sothing unstable was a variable, and he hated variables.
So, he would distance himself from her a bit, not only to build his own strength to be able to stand his ground and protect himself if at so point she snaps and tries to do sothing to him, but also, for the presence of her other friends to help bring in so self control.
Even in the ga, after Natalia had found out what her family did to her, she went crazy in her quest for revenge to completely wipe out her family. And while that was happening, he clearly rembered that she had sohow taken control of her friends and various other people... Like she literally controlled them. It wasn’t the type of control Vivian did where she manipulated your emotions, no, it was sothing else.
Sothing he still couldn’t place his finger on, and that was what he suspected she had done with him to bring him to that Alria building. She must have controlled him to get her out of there and perhaps kept him unconscious in the process... or at least that was the conclusion he was getting to.
If that for any reason was true, then he might have to completely review his plans of controlling her, cause if he didn’t know the idea behind her ability to control soone, even soone unconscious! Then he would be digging his own grave.
