As the red wire was yanked from the machine, the liquid inside of the tube began to bubble ferociously.

The magical pressure of the young boy began to grow at a rapid pace as his body slowly began to change.

Not only did transparent wings begin to grow from his back, but his hair began to shift from black to a dark shade of green, slowly growing brighter over ti.

Then, suddenly, the pressure inside of the tube grew too strong.

Crack.

A crack ran through the tube, but it did not shatter the glass completely. Still, the green liquid seeped from it, slowly falling to the floor beneath.

Draven had to take a step backwards lest he were drenched.

The now green-haired boy with translucent wings opened his eyelids, revealing green glowing eyes behind them.

No one else noticed, but Yalenia, who stood by the machine, seed to twitch as she watched the boy.

His wings slowly turned from translucent to green as the glass of the tube cracked again.

Then, it could contain the pressure no more.

The glass shattered entirely, the green water pouring onto the floor.

The boy ca falling afterwards. However, sothing strange happened.

Before falling to the ground, he flapped his new wings, allowing him to hover in the air rather than crashing to the ground.

Yalenia was now completely startled.

She stood with so sort of fear in her eyes as she watched the transformation.

The green-haired boy flapped his wings as he flew above them all, looking down with a confident, straight face.

It was as though the vampires had simply woken him from a pleasant sleep, leaving him annoyed.

Not only that, but Draven noticed sothing.

The boy’s magical presence was strong. Incredibly strong.

He may not be able to yet use any abilities, but his potential.

He could end up stronger than the nocturnal knights.

Finally, the boy spoke, his tone strangely calm for a boy of such a young age.

"Where am I?"

Yalenia was left speechless. Sothing about this process has perturbed her, and Draven guessed what it was.

The transformation was not as she expected it to be. This boy is not a regular fairy.

Having finally recovered enough to act, Yalenia slowly stepped forward, closer to the flying boy.

He looked down at her as she approached, a sort of anger growing on his face, evident in the furrowing of his eyebrows.

"You." He said confidently, before swivelling his head over to Aewyn. "And you. I’ve seen you before."

That surprised even Draven, as for so reason, he had expected the process to remove the boy’s mories.

Instead, he would know that Yalenia and Aewyn were the ones that captured him.

Yalenia looked up at the boy.

"You’re sowhere safe, trust " She said, answering his question vaguely to avoid facing any problems.

The boy stared into her eyes for a few monts, before nodding his head, accepting her answer.

However, before anything else could be continued, Draven felt sothing.

A presence heading towards them.

Fast.

It was sowhere far above and in the distance, but there was no doubt that soone was heading to their location.

And they were strong.

"Soone is heading towards this cave. You’ve been found."

Yalenia’s fear returned as she stared at Draven, taking in his words.

"Could it be one of your allies?" She asked with hope, but the Vampire Lord shook his head.

The power was unfamiliar, and with every step it took closer to their location, it grew in strength.

"Whoever it is cos with malicious intent; I can feel it."

Yalenia and Aewyn instantly jumped into action, making their way towards the door.

Maya just stood there, watching Draven Intently.

The fairy didn’t move, remained hovered in the air as he closed his eyes.

Draven had no idea what the boy was doing.

However, before the two won could leave the room, he opened his green eyes and spoke.

"It’s The Mother."

The won stopped in their tracks, and even Draven found himself at pause.

It can’t be? How is he able to tell?

The boy’s face remained unchanged. More confident than a boy so young should be.

Did I underestimate this science?

"How can you be so sure!" Yalenia demanded, clearly filled with a new type of fear.

But the boy didn’t answer, and they were wasting ti.

"Never mind that," Draven said, now making his way to the door. "Regardless of who it is, we need to wake Oprah, Sakura, and Serena."

---

Draven headed to Serena’s room as the others made their way to wake Oprah and Sakura.

With every second that passed, Draven felt the presence above growing closer.

Is that the mother I’m sensing, or soone else?

He recalled his eting with her at the capital.

She had no magical presence back then, so it wouldn’t make sense for her to have so now.

Yet if he was to trust the words of the boy, then she was definitely on her way.

He found Serena lying in bed in a deep sleep. She had tossed and turned in her bed, making the covers fall from her body.

Beneath, Draven caught a glimpse of her milky breasts and thighs, the sight instantly arousing him.

There will be ti for that later.

He walked over to the girl and shook her shoulder, waking her from her sleep.

She opened her eyes, before rubbing at them with her palms.

"Is everything okay?" She yawned, not yet sensing the urgency of the situation.

"No. You’ve missed a lot."

He quickly inford her of the morning’s events. The boy’s awakening and the arrival of a new presence.

Serena jumped to her feet, putting on her clothes and strapping her scythe to her back.

Afterwards, they both headed back to the laboratory to et the others.

All of the others looked prepared for battle, weapons drawn. They had decided to wait there and allow the battle to be brought to them.

Not only because such a plan had its benefits but also because the fairy refused to leave.

He simply hovered in the air everyone else, as he watched them stand there on edge at the incoming presence.

The only one who remained relaxed was Draven.

He looked up at the boy, eting his eye for the first ti.

"You do realise if I wanted you to co down here, I could make It happen in an instant." He said with a smirk on his lips.

The boy looked at him, face unchanged.

"I know. I can sense your power. You’re even stronger than the presence that cos towards us."

Draven nodded to the boy, satisfied.

As long as he understood the power dynamics, he had no reason to kill the boy or force him to go anywhere.

He could figure out what to do with him after their visitors arrived.

Which wouldn’t take long.

They made their way through the cave, heading towards their direction fast.

Whoever it was had incredible sensing abilities, evident by their pinpoint accuracy when tracking them down.

Then finally, the door to the laboratory swung open.

The first person that walked in, Draven had recognised from a while back.

It was Annabelle’s assistant. The man who had delivered her ssage to him.

His hair was a flowing orange, and he wore a monocle around his eye. Strapped to the back of his white smart shirt was a short sword, which seed to be made from a black tal, with red engravings.

He was who was emanating the presence that he and the fairy had felt. Draven just hadn’t recognised it, as the man seed to be much more powerful than he was before.

Up close, Draven could tell that the man was easily stronger than all the Nocturnal Knights in the room. Only Serena and perhaps Maya would have a chance against him.

After he stepped inside, another figure followed behind him.

It didn’t take long for Draven to realise who it was.

She wore the regal dress of a queen, which clung tightly to her curvy body. A slit went down the chest, exposing her large cleavage.

Her blonde hair flowed loosely, curly at the ends in a stylish manner. Her skin was a milky white, yet there seed to be so sort of powder on her face, making it seem as though her cheeks were permanently brushed.

And the woman let off no magical power at all. She had no presence.

"The Mother." The boy said quietly from above, looking at her with admiration.

As she stepped inside, there was a smile on her face, which only accentuated her beauty.

She bowed her head towards Draven, showing a respect that he thought might have been false.

Draven eyed the woman, unable to stop himself from smirking.

After all, he stood before the woman who had lied to him about the Werewolves and

Galvacaniva.

The one who had orchestrated the start of that entire battle.

"It’s wonderful to et you again, Lord Draven." She said in an overly posh tone.

"I heard you had a little run-in with the Werewolves?"
