Chapter 66: Chapter 25

On top of a sprawling forty-story skyscraper that dominated the city skyline, within an incredibly luxurious office furnished with dark wood and minimalist chro, a woman sat behind a massive desk.

She was an arresting figure: an incredibly beautiful adult woman with ash-blonde hair styled in severe waves, striking red eyes frad by elegant black-rimd glasses, and dressed in a tailored, charcoal-grey suit jacket paired with a tight pencil skirt.

Black stockings encased her long legs, ending in expensive, high-heeled pumps.

She is Kageyama Hakari, the mother of Kageyama Seijirou.

And at this mont, she was staring at her phone, reading the ssage sent by her son.

After awhile, she slowly lowered her phone, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips as she finished reading her son’s dismissive reply.

For a fleeting mont, her red eyes held a glint of amusent, a rare display of warmth for her only child.

But then, the amusent vanished as swiftly as smoke, and her face beca a cold, flawless mask of professionalism, her eyes turning utterly emotionless as she fixed her gaze on the man kneeling directly before her desk.

The man, Hijima Sukamu, was middle-aged with short black hair and matching red eyes, currently dilated with sheer terror.

His face was a picture of fear and despair, glistening with tears and mucus that he was too paralyzed to wipe away.

He knelt on the plush carpet like a condemned man awaiting sentence.

Hakari spoke, her voice unnervingly calm and low, cutting through the silence of the vast office like a scalpel.

"Hijima Sukamu," she called out his na, the formality adding a layer of dread as his face turned even paler, "Do you understand the gravity of your mistakes?"

Sukamu trembled violently, trying desperately to form a coherent apology, but only managed a pathetic string of stutters and choked gasps. "P-p-p-please, M-Madam Kageyama..."

Hakari ignored his plea, and with practiced grace, she picked up a single, crisp piece of paper from the desk—an internal audit report.

"According to this detailed docuntation," she continued, her voice devoid of inflection, "in the past ten years that you have been entrusted as our Chief Financial Controller, you have successfully embezzled approximately 130 million yen. That averages out to 13 million yen stolen every single year."

She tossed the report onto the desk. "While that number is insignificant to a corporation of our scale—a re rounding error, frankly—the principle remains. Stealing is stealing, Sukamu. And disloyalty is unforgivable."

Sukamu finally found his voice, a high-pitched, desperate wail as he scrambled forward slightly, leaning his forehead on the carpet. "Madam! Please! I beg you, spare ! I promise I will return every yen, I swear it! Just... please, don’t destroy !"

Hakari leaned back, crossing one leg over the other, the sound of the silk fabric whispering against her suit.

"Well, Sukamu, destroying you is certainly the easiest option. But," she paused for dramatic effect, "it is not impossible that I might spare you."

She plucked a different docunt—a single sheet of heavy cream-colored paper—from her desk drawer and threw it directly towards him.

It fluttered down, landing on the carpet just inches from his hand.

Sukamu scrambled to grab it, his eyes wide as he quickly scanned the contents, and imdiately his body stiffened, and his eyes widened further in profound shock, recognizing the docunt as a detailed, non-disclosure agreent for him and transfer of custody for both his wife and daughter.

It’s a fancy way of saying to shut the hell up and sell his wife and daughter to be the slave of Kageyama Family.

Hakari’s red eyes narrowed slightly, making her look predatory. "You have two choices, Hijima Sukamu. You can agree to the terms on that paper and sign it. Or, I can call the police right now and send you to prison. No bail, and life imprisonnt."

Sukamu paled, if it was even possible to get even paler than he already is.

Hakari’s tone dropped, becoming as cold as ice. "And do not think that simply being in prison will keep you safe from . With the power and connections available to the Kageyama family, I can guarantee your life will beco a living hell the mont you step inside. You will endure constant, systematic rape and assault from the most vicious inmates for every single day for the rest of your life. Do you understand? Total, absolute degradation."

Sukamu shivered, imagining the torture he will have to endure if he actually refused to sign this contract.

He regretted it. Why? Why did he get greedy? If only he can turn back the ti, he will never ss around with this company.

Unfortunately for him, there is no ’if only’ in this world.

Hakari offered the chilling alternative. "However, if you sign that contract, I will not only allow you to keep the entire 130 million yen you stole, but I will also personally arrange to have you moved overseas, to a small, private villa where you can enjoy your retirent days completely unmolested. A clean slate, a wealthy retirent, on the condition your wife and daughter beco my property."

Sakuma stared at the contract, his fate laid bare. The thought of permanent, violent prison agony versus unimaginable wealth and freedom overseas was no choice at all.

He can have another wife and another daughter with foreign girls. With the amount of money he have, living a stable and wealthy life in so third world country is guaranteed.

After all, he barely touched the money he had embezzled.

Sukamu hesitated for only a fraction of a second before his trembling hand reaching for the pen he had in hus pockets.

He scrawled his signature hastily, fear overriding any lingering moral qualms, and imdiately handed the paper back to Hakari.

Hakari took the signed contract, examining the signature with ticulous care and nodded.

"Very good, Sukamu, with this your life is guaranteed. Now leave. The arrangents will be made. You have twenty-four hours to prepare your departure. Do not contact anyone."

As Sakuma, now slightly dazed but overwhelmingly relieved, scrambled out of the luxurious office, Hakari leaned back in her chair, a slow, confident smile spreading across her face.

She spoke softly to the empty room, her voice laced with calculating triumph. "Seijirou would surely enjoy this gift. A mother and daughter pair. Honestly, if he likes those types he should’ve said so earlier."

She picked up her personal phone again, and opened the ssage sent to her by her trusted ’subordinate’ last night.

"He has slept with Suzune. What are your next instructions?"

The ssage ca from Aiko.

It shouldn’t really co as a surprise. After all, the only reason Aiko managed to bring that broken company she inherited into up to a national clothing brand was because Kageyama Family have helped her greatly.

Hakari had Aiko report everything that Seijirou have done, so they can imdiately clean up his ss before it gets out of hand.

Hakari lowered the burner phone slowly, a complex mix of shock, disbelief, and a flicker of exasperation warring in her gaze.

She hadn’t realized her son’s tastes had strayed into the ssy, complicated territory of an Oyakodon (mother-and-daughter) fetish.

Taking both the mother, Aiko, and her daughter, Suzune.

Hakari doesn’t know what to say to this. But since it’s her son, she can only accept it and move on.

That’s why when her husband asked her to think of a gift for their son, Hakari imdiately thought of sending another mother and daughter pair.

With that, Hakari took out an envelope from her drawer, and inside it, she took out two photos of females that look almost identical, with one being obviously more mature.

The younger one, a beautiful and kind of emotionless young woman with long white hair and dull red eyes.

If Seijirou saw this, he would’ve imdiately knew who this girl was.

It was his classmate and previous group mber, one of the Heroines in the ga.

Hijima Haruka.

The other, the more mature one, looks like an older version of Haruka, but instead of looking emotionless and somber, she looked bright, gentle and kind.

A complete opposite of Haruka.

She is Hijima Yuko, the mother of Haruka.

Hakari observed them for a few monts before nodding to herself, and once again putting the photos back to the envelope and putting them back to her drawer.

With that, Hakari stood up, walking towards the glass wall behind her seat and observed the city down below.

This ti, she took out another phone and dialed a number.

It rang a few tis before soone picked it up.

"Madam?" A deep voice sounded from the other side.

Hakari smiled, "Our good employee is going on a trip overseas tomorrow to enjoy his retirent life. Make sure he’s....taken care of."

There was a silence on the other side for a few monts, before they once again replied. "... understood. He’ll enjoy the trip that he won’t even want to return."

"Very good." With that, Hakari cut off the call and humd, before returning back to her seat.

She picked up a docunt, and her eyebrow rose, before letting out a small smile.

"Well, my husband have approved of another construction project with ten billion yen funds. Obviously, we’ll take nine billion, politicians needs to eat as well."

Oh how she loves keeping taxpayer money.
