Reign's grin widened. "When you kill and hunt, the next step is to feed—eat them. Only then will you truly embrace the path."
Kang's eyes widened in shock. He shook his head, disbelief and horror battling inside him. "Eat them? You're insane."
"Am I?" Reign grabbed a severed head from the ground and bit into it, the sound wet and brutal.
Blood dripped from his lips as he chewed.
Kang staggered back, stomach twisting. His voice barely escaped. "What… what are you?"
"What I am doesn't matter. What matters is what you're about to beco if you follow ."
He took a step closer, voice low and chilling. "Power isn't just taken—it's consud. Only by embracing every part of this darkness can you reach the peak."
Kang shook his head, trying to push the nausea down. "I won't beco a monster like you."
Reign laughed, cold and harsh. "Monsters don't hesitate. Monsters don't feel sorry. You still have a choice... but not for long."
"This is wrong!" Kang's voice cracked, filled with anger and desperation. "There has to be another way."
"Why are you so hesitant? It's just eating, right? Even humanoid beasts eat humans,"
"I.."
"Do it." Reign raised his hand, tossing the brave girl's severed head. "Look, this that has no life, no soul. It'll just rot and turn to dust if you don't. Better to eat it."
Kang stared at the head, feeling sick just looking at it.
Slowly, Kang raised the head to his lips. Blood trickled down his mouth.
The tallic taste of iron spread across his tongue, making him gag. He couldn't hold it back—he vomited, the bitter taste burning his throat.
Reign stepped forward and grabbed his back firmly. "There, there. Take it slow," he said with a cold smile.
Secretly, a surge of dark energy slipped into Kang's body, tightening around his soul like a chain.
Kang wiped the vomit away, swallowing hard. He forced himself to take another bite—then another. The taste remained foul, but with each mouthful, a strange feeling spread inside him.
No matter how much he ate, hunger never left. His body trembled, muscles tightening. The more he ate, the heavier and stronger he felt.
Confused and alard, Kang kept going. Sothing dark and powerful was growing inside.
Little did Kang know, Reign was secretly altering his body, slowly turning him into a demon.
My Virtual Library Empire (M|V|L0EMPYR) hosts the original.
For soone like him, who commanded divine creation and other elents, it was easy.
Now, he could even do things that only the system could do before.
The young spirit user began to change—his skin darkened, eyes turned red, and sharp fangs grew where his teeth once were, as if he was evolving in real ti.
From reluctances, he started enjoying the taste of human remains, and would grin and laugh.
Reign looked at his creation with pride. Corrupting sothing instead of just destroying it had a different satisfaction.
When it was over, Kang turned to Reign. Tears stread down his face as the weight of what he had beco hit him. He was a monster now—and it was far too late to turn back.
"Is this really the right path?" he asked, voice shaking, clinging to what little humanity he had left.
"It is the right path," Reign declared.
BOOOOM!
His aura burst out—black and red—spreading quickly. The night sky turned dark red, like the end of the world was coming.
Kang stared, speechless. The power was overwhelming. How could soone be this strong?
What he didn't know was that this display was only ten percent of Reign's true strength.
But that wave of power didn't just stop there.
Tens of Thousands of miles away, those who had reached the peak of their strength felt it too.
One by one, they looked toward the horizon, their expressions showing concern.
They didn't know who caused it—but they all felt the sa thing.
A bad on. Sothing dangerous was coming.
And it could destroy the balance of the entire world.
"Do you see this power?" Reign said, stepping forward. "You can reach this state if you follow my orders. Once you do, reality itself will bend to your will."
He raised a single finger toward the sky.
Above them, space warped.
A massive sword materialized from thin air, its edge glowing with dark energy. It hovered high above the distant city they had co from, casting a long, ominous shadow across the land.
Reign raised his hand, and Kang's body lifted into the air beside him, floating high above the world below.
"Look at my overwhelming power!" Reign roared, his voice echoing through the sky. "Etch this into your mind—this is the power I can give you!"
The giant sword began to descend, slowly, its weight splitting the clouds as it fell toward the city.
People erged from their hos, shielding their eyes. The stars had vanished. In their place hung a massive, glowing sword, suspended high in the air like a god's judgnt.
Its edges pulsed with dark energy, bright enough to illuminate every rooftop and alleyway.
"What is that…?" soone whispered.
The city square fell silent, the usual chatter drowned by the hum in the air. A woman dropped her water bucket as her gaze locked onto the blade overhead.
Then ca the panic.
"IT'S FALLING!
"RUN AWAY!"
Screams tore through the night as people began to flee. Horses bucked, dogs barked, and the warning bells rang far too late.
The sword descended.
Not like a weapon—but like a verdict.
Air split with a thunderous crack, shattering glass across the city. Buildings shook. A deafening roar flooded the streets as heat pressed first.
Then it struck.
The tip of the blade slamd into the earth at the city's center. For a brief mont, there was only light—pure white, swallowing every shadow, every wall, every scream.
Then ca the blast.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
Stone erupted like water. Towers snapped in half. Streets split open as a shockwave ripped through the city, turning hos into rubble and lives into dust. Fire trailed behind the sword's path, swallowing everything it touched.
