Reign pushed through the crowd, the celebratory shouts fading as he moved away from the electronics store.
He didn't care about the partnership between humans and demons.
What mattered to him was that teleporters were going to be installed in the city.
If he could see how they worked, he could have his system analyze the technology and create a portable version for his own use.
That would make his life much easier. He still had his plan to head East after all.
"Hey, did you hear? They said the teleporter is being installed at the City Central Park! Let's go watch!"
"Really? I just heard the news and they're already doing it," replied a woman next to him. "I can't believe it's finally happening!"
"Do you think it'll actually work?" another person chid in, sounding skeptical.
"Of course it'll work!" the young man insisted. "This is the future. Think about how much easier and safer it will be to travel between cities. "
Reign overheard people chatting as he walked along the streets.
'City Center, huh?'
He knew this would attract a crowd, so he needed to get there quickly.
Looking around, he spotted a car parked nearby.
'Nope,' he shook his head, and decided to find himself a real car— a truck.
Without wasting ti, he hopped in and drove off, eager to avoid the traffic that would surely build up around the installation site.
VROOOOOM!
Reign drove through the streets, watching for any obstacles.
As expected, the city was full of life as people rushed to see the teleporter.
When he got closer, Reign took a side road to avoid the heavy traffic.
However, he soon had to stop as the street ahead was blocked .
Thinking quickly, he pulled the car to the side and hopped out, deciding to run through the alleyways instead.
He activated his symbiotic suit, which he had modified with the black glass he got from Kaelin.
While it wasn't as effective as her ability, it helped him blend into the shadows, allowing him to move more easily through the narrow paths.
He dashed quietly from alley to alley, staying low and keeping an eye out for anyone who might notice him.
The sounds of the crowd grew louder as he neared the installation site, so he slowed down and rged with the spectators.
In the center of the area was an empty ground, and there was nothing there.
He had expected to see people hauling in sothing massive, like a large round gate similar to what he had seen in the trial ground, or at least trucks bustling around to install the portal.
But there was nothing in sight, leaving him to wonder how they planned to install the teleporter.
Did they have to bring it in piece by piece?
It wasn't just him who was wondering about the installation; other spectators looked just as puzzled.
So people tried to walk toward the center, drawn by curiosity or a need to understand what was happening.
However, they were imdiately stopped by the authorities, who had quickly ford a barrier.
People whispered among themselves, exchanging theories about where the teleporter could be.
"Do you think they're going to build it right here?" one person asked, glancing around the empty park.
"Maybe they're waiting for the main parts to arrive," another replied.
Reign listened intently, catching snippets of their conversations.
"Why isn't anything happening?" soone exclaid, frustration creeping into their voice. "This is supposed to be a big reveal"
Just then, there was movent in the air.
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
Gasps of fear echoed through the crowd as they watched the very air begin to crack like a mirror in real ti.
Then, a small figure erged from the crack—a demon standing about three feet tall.
Its Vantablack body seed to distort in and out of existence, creating an unsettling effect that made people rub their eyes to check if there was sothing wrong with it.
While the crowd started to be confused, Reign was completely stunned.
'Why is a Demon God here?' he started regretting his decision to co.
The small demon surveyed the crowd, its gaze sweeping over the faces of the humans present.
Fortunately, the demon did not seem to notice Reign, thanks to his system cloaking.
Reign continued to blend into the crowd, allowing him to watch without drawing attention.
What would it do next?
That question hung in the air as he waited, ready to react if things took a turn for the worse.
When it finished checking on everyone, the demon god raised its small hands and snapped its fingers.
Find adventures on empire
Instantly, the air cracked like glass, startling everyone in the crowd.
But in that mont of confusion, a big structure appeared out of nowhere.
The giant round object was made of a material that resembled flesh but had solidified into a stone-like surface.
In the center, there was pure darkness that was absorbing all light around it.
It was so dark that just looking at it affected the spectator's vision, as no light could reflect off its surface.
Seeing that its task was finished, the Demon God stepped into the darkness and vanished as if it had never been there at all.
After a couple of seconds, figures began to erge from the portal one by one.
This ti, the figures erging from the darkness look more human and very attractive.
Among them, three won stood out, looking so gorgeous they could put any actress to sha.
Their beauty was beyond words, and the n in the crowd started blushing and fantasizing at the sight of them.
Everyone in the crowd started talking among themselves, their whispers filled with excitent.
Demons or not, humans—especially n—were instinctively drawn to beauty.
This attraction was so powerful that so would risk being hurt just to experience sothing they found captivating.
As expected, soone in the crowd finally couldn't hold back any longer.
A middle-aged man with blond hair broke free and started running toward the portal, shocking everyone around him.
"Anna!"
