"Argh, my head hurts," Reign muttered, pressing his hands to his temples.
It felt like he'd been hit in the head over and over, and everything was disorienting.
He struggled to make sense of his location. Slowly, he realized he was back in the cabin, lying on the floor with his back leaning against the door
After steadying his breath, he checked the room for any dangers.
'She's gone?' he muttered to himself.
'And what happened to ?'
It felt like sothing important was slipping away from his mory.
The more he tried to rember, the harder it beca, like trying to catch smoke.
He couldn't shake the feeling that whatever he had forgotten was sothing that could change everything.
'No, I have to rember it,'
He tried thinking really hard, and then sothing ca back to him.
It was a technique—how to hide his thoughts within existing ones. He didn't know how he learned it, but the mont he used it, flashes of mory returned.
(The system... East... Dragon...) It was incomplete, but he was starting to piece so things together.
Unfortunately, he only rembered that he needed to be cautious of the system and that his answers could be found in the East.
Beyond that, he had completely forgotten so key information.
[System: Warning. Host is experiencing excessive ntal pressure.]
[System: Do you want the system to check your body for problem? .]
[Yes] or [No]
"Don't worry about it!" Reign replied with a casual tone, fearing the system might completely erase those mories.
For now, he had to act like normal.
"So what happened back then? I can't rember anything at all," he lied, trying to deceive the system so he could see how it would respond.
[System: Host, you experienced a soul attack. Your consciousness was taken hostage by another party that threatened to destroy it while keeping your soul safe, possibly to possessed your body]
"Are you sure ?"
[System: 85%]
[Due to the extensive use of processing power to ensure the host's survival, your level has been reverted to Level 80. This asure is important for maintaining system stability and operation.]
It was a big loss, but at least he gained so valuable insight from the incident.
The system started explaining what had happened to him.
It revealed that it was the one responsible for those black gems.
They weren't real but were created as a way to help him gain so power while his consciousness was trapped.
And once he gathered enough power from within, it beca easier for the system to break through and free him.
He knew it was more complicated than that but didn't bother to ask any further.
"Why can't I rember anything? "
[System: Host, this might be a side effect.]
[System: Would you like to run a full scan?]
[Yes] or [No]
"Never mind," he shook his head.
(At least now I have a way to mask my thoughts.)
"System, do you know exactly what happened while I was unconscious? Where did Seki's body go?"
[System: Negative: When the host is unconscious, the system cannot see anything either.]
(That's a complete lie.)
He rembered that the system had absorbed the first ta-human without his consent and knowledge.
(That guy must have done sothing to save her. If my assumption is correct, he is like a consciousness hidden in her soul—similar to my system.)
(I wonder if my system is also like him?)
(I rember asking for his na, but I can't recall what it was.)
(Forget it. I'm sure I'll run into that guy again in the future, whether as an enemy or not. I don't care, as long as I'm strong enough. I should focus on heading East first to check that Dragon Palace. It looks like I need to adjust my schedule.)
With that in mind, he stood up and began stretching.
"Well, I can't really do anything about it.," he mused aloud, trying to appear as unbothered as possible.
His mind wandered to what would happen next now that Seki was gone.
With his the person who could assist him in the East out of the picture, he would need to put more effort.
In addition, explaining to Celine why Seki had suddenly vanished would be difficult. It might appear as though soone had murdered her.
And being in her cabin made him a pri suspect.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
CLICK!
Celine opened the door, her eyes tired from just waking up.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, rubbing her eyes and yawning a little. She instinctively covered her mouth as she yawned.
Even though her hair was ssy and there were signs of drool on her cheek, she still looked really attractive in his eyes which made him paused for a bit.
"We need to talk," Reign said after calming his emotions.
She noticed the seriousness in his expression and replied, "Co in."
Reign stepped into the cabin without hesitation. , closing the door behind him.
Celine sat down on her bed while he used the sofa.
"What's going on?"
Reign took a deep breath. "I don't know all the details, but Seki has disappeared. "
"What!" Celine stood up in a panic.
"What happened? Did you search the entire train? Maybe she just went sowhere ?."
"I did, but I didn't see her," he lied again.
He had co straight here because he was worried about Celine's well-being.
The madman got a glimpsed of his mories and now knew his two weaknesses.
It was a very dangerous knowledge that could be used against him.
