"Just tell where she is, or else," Aika warned, her voice growing colder with each word. Her patience was wearing thin.

"Then catch ,"

"Enough!" she spat out.

The shadows grew larger and thicker, quickly forming a massive do around him.

No matter how hard he tried to escape, the darkness closed in tighter and tighter.

In an instant, the do enveloped him completely, trapping him inside.

The do started to shank, squeezing him tighter and tighter.

It didn't just restrict him; it also absorbed his energy, making it impossible for him to use any of his powers or escape, no matter what he tried.

Inside , Reign scanned his surroundings, finding only darkness. He had to admit, this ability was really powerful.

'Humans are really innovative,'

If the West had created ta-humans, then Aika and Aiku were the Eastern attempt to imitate the demons.

"Now tell where my mother is!" Aika demanded.

She was sure her victory was sealed; no one could escape from her prison.

But instead of a response, the scene took a dramatic turn.

Without warning, the do began to collapsed .

A bright, searing light burst forth, flooding the air and pushing back the darkness.

Aika's heart raced as the intensity of the light grew. It felt like it was going to consu everything.

She ducked down, trying to escape the blinding rays that threatened to incinerate her.

The air around her trembled as the light grew brighter, casting long shadows that danced wildly.

As the light began to fade, she dared to peek through her fingers.

The do disappeared, leaving Reign standing in the center of the clearing.

His figure, with wings outstretched, was surrounded by a gentle, lingering golden glow.

He was smiling from ear to ear, pleased to find that his divine power was really effective against her shadows

'Good thing I got trapped here with my angel body,' he muttered to himself

If he had been using his original form, dealing with Aika would have been far more challenging.

But with his divine energy, which countered anything dark or negative, the situation was much easier to handle.

She was indeed strong, but her powers were a poor match against him.

"Just what exactly are you?" Aika questioned, her hands still covering her face.

The sheer power and light emanating from him were unsettling, and she couldn't shake the feeling of discomfort as she peered through her fingers.

"An angel," he announced, his voice echoing with an absolute authority

Aika paused, her eyes widening as she struggled to understand.

The term was unfamiliar, but the sight of his pristine wings triggered a mory from her hotown.

She recalled an old myth about a being that matched his description.

"Y— You're a Tenshi!!!"

'Tenshi?' he repeated.

The system couldn't translate it, indicating that it was from outside this world, much like the text left by Satoshi.

Aika's mind raced as she tried to recall every detail she knew about it.

Despite her youthful appearance, her true age was much older. She rembered myths and stories that had long been forgotten by others.

In addition, while western cultures often overlooked history, Eastern nations had always been dedicated to preserving their heritage, retaining more information about the past.

According to those tales, Tenshi were beings who judged sinners and had battled against Eastern deities.

One key figure she recalled was "Tensha," a feared Tenshi whose wings turned blood red after killing countless deities and humans.

This terrifying reputation was so notorious that parents used the na to scare children into behaving.

But of course, this where all just myths and rumors which ca from—interpretations of the past that are often exaggerated , misinterpreted ,or not true at all.

Regardless, she still stayed on high alert, no longer underestimating him.

'Why is she still blocking her face?' he wondered.

'Could it be that this small amount of light is enough to hurt her? That's just pathetic.' He sighed.

Seeing that she has no plan to drop her hands, he decided to toned it down a bit.

Aika slowly lowered her hands, her eyes narrowing as she t his gaze.

"Are you finish ?" Reign taunted. "You won't find out about your mother if you don't defeat , you know."

He still wanted to test her limits.

"I'll make you talk, no matter what you are!" Her voice grew cold, and she prepared to take this fight more seriously.

As she spoke, the rice fields around them started to sway in an odd rhythm, their stalks moving as if guided by an unseen force.

Reign's eyes followed the swaying stalks closely, but before he could react to unexpected attack, he found himself suddenly kneeling on the ground.

He looked up, surprised.

"Sweet," he said with a smirk, though he struggled to maintain his balance.

"So you've got so tricks up your sleeve. But don't think this is enough to defeat ,"

Aika's face remained serious.

"I'm not playing gas. If you want to keep your life, you'd better tell what I want"

Reign chuckled, enjoying the challenge. "I'm not going anywhere until I've had my fun. If you want answers, you'll have to earn them."

SWOOOSH!

With a powerful flap of his wings, he closed the gap between them, aiming to grab her neck.

However, his hands passed right through her, as if he were grasping at thin air.

'She's smarter than I thought—way smarter than her mother,' Reign mused inwardly, impressed by her cleverness.

Aika's illusion had montarily fooled him, and as she reappeared a few steps away, her expression remained cold.

He turned to face her with a confident smile.

"You're full of surprises," he complinted her with a grin.

"You're exactly the challenge I need to test the full power of my angel form."

He raised his hands, and a golden bow materialized.

The bow glowed with a bright, golden light, standing out against the rice fields around them.

Reign's smile grew wider. "We're just getting started."
