"What?!!"
Hearing that unexpected decision, Rachael couldn’t help but exclaim out loud.
It was a subconscious reaction because Rachael was soone who hated monsters, dungeons, and fights the most.
Not to be misunderstood, she respected everyone who fought with monsters to safeguard humanity.
But because of her rough childhood, she despised violence of any kind.
Besides, she also couldn’t understand Adrian’s sudden decision.
’Wasn’t I just a secretary? How co I suddenly need to experience a player’s life?’
Various questions road in her head, but she didn’t voice them out.
Having been living with Adrian for more than two weeks, Rachael understood that he hated to be interrupted in the middle of a conversation, and he could even reprimand Ms. Sharon for it.
Not to ntion, Rachael was technically his secretary, so she didn’t want to be disrespectful to him.
She just looked at him with apologetic eyes.
Fortunately, Adrian casually waved his hand in response to her earlier exclamation, as if to say it was alright and he understood her concerns.
He then calmly explained his reasons to her.
"You will soon awaken and be considered a player, whether you officially register or not."
He began.
"Since you didn’t play Nexus World Online, your awakening will be of random character traits and Class. This will certainly have unknown alterations in your likes and dislikes."
Adrian paused, kept looking at Rachael, who nodded in agreent, and continued.
"With great power cos great responsibility. You never know what the future holds. There might be ergency situations where you’ll need to take action."
His tone grew serious.
"Perhaps not to take lives, but to protect. You have to act."
He conveyed this as an indisputable fact.
"Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, prior knowledge and experience are essential."
Rachael nodded. She understood his ssage but still couldn’t muster the will to fight in a Dungeon.
She wanted to convey this to him, but before she could speak, he addressed her concerns as if reading her mind.
"I’m not suggesting you jump into combat with monsters on the frontlines right away. That’s impossible since you haven’t fully awakened yet. Besides, I will never force you into anything against your will."
Those words made Rachael inwardly sigh in relief but also left her confused, prompting her to voice out her thoughts.
"Then what would I do in the Dungeon?"
"Nothing."
"Huh?"
Adrian shook his head.
"You will simply stand beside Charlotte, observe how to react, and adapt yourself to such situations. If you feel useless, you can carry a few things, and that’s it."
"That’s it?"
"Or else? Do you want to fight?"
He raised his eyebrows, and Rachael quickly denied it.
"No, no, but why?"
"Simple! It’s all about toughening your mind by exposing it to a Dungeon. This way, you’ll have presence of mind and can make rational decisions in ergency situations. So, what do you say?"

Rachael fell into a contemplative silence.
However, not long after, she eventually reached a decision.
’If it’s just watching from the sidelines... I think I can give it a try. Also...’
Rachael paused her thoughts and cast a serious glance at Daisy.
Comprehending sothing, Rachael’s eyes beca determined as she looked back at Adrian.
"I will co."
"Excellent."
Adrian replied with a smile.
He then proceeded to give her a general explanation of what to expect in a Dungeon.
It was also then that maids ca with their food, and everyone had a hearty breakfast.
Following the al, Sharon left with Daisy, while Rachael, Charlotte, and Adrian departed together.
Rachael sat in the backseat beside Adrian as the car started and left with a small entourage.
While on the highway, Charlotte, who was driving, decided to share a joke.
"Master! Did you know that actor Bruce Lee has a younger brother nad Serious?"
"Seriously?"
"How do you know ’Serious Lee’?"
Adrian raised an eyebrow at the la joke, and Charlotte burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha. Cough! Cough!"
Seeing her laughing while coughing, Adrian’s eyebrows twitched even more, and he comnted seriously.
"That’s literally the worst joke I’ve ever heard."
Unfortunately for Adrian, Charlotte wasn’t over, and so she replied again, still in the sa funny tone.
"Literal Lee was his COUSIN, HAHAHA~."
This ti, even Rachael couldn’t control her laughter.
"Pfft~Hahahaha."
Looking at them laughing, the corner of Adrian’s lips twitched, and he finally declared with a ruthless smirk.
"No more shopping for you, Charlotte, for a whole month."
"Master, NO! WHY?"
"Because you tell la jokes and then laugh like an idiot at them."
"Master!!!"
"Idiot!"
And so, their playful banter started, making it seem like two longti best friends casually eting up.
They were both perfectly in sync, almost like they were made for each other.
Observing this, Rachael couldn’t help but smile.
She felt that these two might not even be able to sleep soundly for a day if Adrian didn’t scold and tease Charlotte, and if Charlotte didn’t get to hear his scolding.
The car moved, and as Rachael watched them, she reminisced about the first dinner she had with Charlotte, Adrian, and Ms. Sharon.
Back then, Rachael felt an inexplicable jealousy toward Charlotte, as if Charlotte was taking sothing that should have belonged to her.
However, with the ti she spent with them, Rachael ca to understand the unique relationship between Charlotte and Adrian.
It was a bond that couldn’t be broken, and Rachael had co to appreciate Charlotte for who she truly was—the most harmless, cute, and clumsy person she had ever t.
So now she was just happy. She leaned her head back, savoring the happiness of the mont as she recalled how her life had changed in her new ho, especially the first day.
That day was a turning point in her life.

It was on that day that Rachael began her training as a personal secretary under the guidance of Ms. Sharon.
She rembered that tumultuous first day of training, which had taken her through a rollercoaster of emotions.
There was the initial despair of getting raped, followed by the entanglent of realizing that it wasn’t Adrian’s fault, which brought about a sense of doubt regarding his actions.
Then ca the surprise of witnessing her mother’s VIP treatnt, the shock at the shalessness of her father and relatives, and the relief of having Adrian send Ms. Sharon to her aid.
Consequently, Rachael also struggled with feelings of guilt for wrongly blaming Adrian, despite his kindness.
Yet, as the day progressed, those negative emotions slowly transford into hope and happiness as she embraced her new future and life.
When she returned ho after her first day of training, her nerves were on edge.
She had been unsure of how to start a conversation with Adrian and how to face him.
However, it was this sa playful quarrel between Charlotte and Adrian that eased the atmosphere that evening.
Rachael also vividly rembered how Adrian had broken the tension between herself and him.
He had asked Rachael about her day, relieving her of her anxieties.
It was a small gesture from him, but it ant a lot to her.
At that ti, Rachael was both relieved and perplexed.
She couldn’t understand how Adrian had managed to overco his guilt so quickly.
Because she knew that he had been even more hurt by his own actions than she had been.
Nevertheless, as ti passed, Rachael began to see things more clearly.
Her gratitude towards him deepened with each passing mont.
’Maybe he’s just pretending to be strong so that I would not feel awkward and sad.’
It was the only explanation that made sense to her, given all the kindness he had shown her that day.
This belief beca even more solidified when, on the following day, Adrian surprised her with her favorite pastries.
He even fed them to Rachael, catching her off guard.
To top it off, he gifted her a beautiful red dress, knowing it was her favorite color.
Rachael couldn’t help but feel extrely shy and embarrassed by these gestures, causing her to hastily retreat to her room with a flushed face.
However, beneath her embarrassnt, a warm and giddy feeling blossod in her heart.
’But I shouldn’t have run away so shyly that day.’
It was because after that day, Adrian went for 4-5 days of closed training, and even Charlotte refused to say anything about him.
Luckily, in those days, Rachael gradually beca closer to Ms. Sharon at the office and Charlotte at ho, who was alone in Adrian’s absence.
From them, Rachael ca to know how Adrian behaved differently toward her.
How he changed since Rachael ca, and that it was the first ti he even bought gifts for soone.
With all of this information, Rachael’s mind was racing, and she eventually realized that Adrian was genuinely attempting to bring her happiness.
But with these new discoveries, Rachael didn’t know what to do.
She had good feelings for Adrian, but she had never been in love.
Except for the familial love that she felt towards her mother, who sacrificed so much for Rachael, she didn’t love anyone, be it a brother or sister—not to ntion loving soone romantically.
Therefore, she didn’t know how to respond to Adrian’s feelings.
Fortunately, Adrian never directly ntioned them to her.
Even after coming out of his training, he got busy with work. Rachael would see him train like a madman and work hard during the day and at night.
Sotis he would co back past midnight with Charlotte, yet still train before sleeping.
Rachael watched all of this secretly from her room’s window.
That was also when she talked about Adrian with Ms. Sharon, who told her so things about him.
"Previously, I hadn’t t Young Master much since I worked under the patriarch, but as soone in the family, I know the tension between him and his sister. The expectations tied to him and the weight on his shoulder are too heavy for soone his age. He just doesn’t show it. I don’t even know how he handles it all."
Those words hit Rachael’s heart deeper than anything could, and her gaze at Adrian changed once again.
On that day, although she felt fortunate that Adrian hadn’t ntioned his love to her, she also felt a little unhappy and nervous.
It was also then that one day he suddenly brought a blonde beauty, Daisy.
At first, hearing about her curse, Rachael felt sad for her and extended a helping hand to her, but she soon realized that Daisy was the worst.
For the whole day, the only thing she talked about was Adrian and his relationship with everyone, as if trying to pry into everything and boss Rachael around.
Even the dumbest in these matters, Rachael, understood her intentions.
But the line was crossed when Adrian trained too much the night before yesterday and was taken into his room by his most loyal person, his shadow Charlotte, and Daisy started ranting in the hallway about how she needed to be with him.
Hearing that, even Charlotte ca out of the room agrily.
Fortunately, before the matter could escalate, Ms. Sharon ca out and took Daisy to another room.
Nonetheless, this made Rachael understand Daisy’s intention, and she felt her nervousness turn into anxiety all the more when she saw Daisy successfully exit Adrian’s room in the morning today.
Rachael felt an acid influx in her stomach, and along with Charlotte, she beca totally separated from Daisy.
This was also when Adrian ordered Daisy to go with Ms. Sharon, and Rachael beca even more worried and dropped her spoon in nervousness.
Fortunately, Adrian wasn’t discarding her or giving her position to Daisy.
Rather, he was thinking about Rachael’s own future, and so, despite her aversion to monsters and violence, Rachael agreed to co with him.
"We have arrived."
Screech-!
It was then that Charlotte’s voice and the car’s break brought Rachael back to reality.
With Adrian and Charlotte, she ca in front of the dungeon gate.
Gulp!
Subconsciously, she swallowed her dry salvia and felt her nervousness reach a peak.
However, at that mont, before she could reconsider her decision, Adrian’s voice broke her train of thought.
"Rachael, take this bag."
"Huh."
Rachael ca back to her senses and instinctively took the black sling bag from him.
But it was then, when she took the bag in her hand, that...

Rachael’s heart started beating frantically as she felt sothing wild and Chaotic triggered in her veins by sothing that was in this bag.
