Before I realized it, two and a half months had whisked by like a gentle breeze—it was finally the day of Lumina Academy’s entrance exams.

While waiting for the test to begin in an inconspicuous corner of the temple-like do-shaped hall of Lumina Academy’s outer campus area with hundreds of other applicants, I thought back on the last two and a half months, which had been both repetitive and surprisingly rewarding.

Each morning, I trained with Nancy before breakfast.

Afterward, she would go out for a hunt and return before sunset, and we would continue our training sessions before dinner, often concluding the day with passionate sex before peacefully drifting off in each other’s arms.

Since I already had a strategy in mind for dealing with the theoretical portion of the exam, I rely skimd through online materials during Nancy’s absence, devoting most of that ti to drawing small amounts of Chaos energy from the atmosphere or through my Tier 2 soul connection with Rachael.

To my surprise, I found that transferring Chaos energy from Rachael beca extrely slow, leaving perplexed.

Only after repeated attempts and consultation with the system did I finally gain a clearer understanding of the reason.

It turned out that although stats could be transmitted instantaneously through the Soul Bound Contract regardless of the difference in space-ti, the transfer of mana, Chaos energy, and health required a certain amount of ti, depending on the ti difference between worlds.

I failed to notice it earlier while helping Nancy because Daisy’s and my world ti were synchronized at that ti due to my mistake, and the ti difference between the main world and this world was also negligible.

However, after fixing the ti dilation, the difference beca significant.

I couldn’t even rectify this by simply changing the ti dilation repeatedly since it could only be used once a world per month.

Nonetheless, I didn’t give up.

Even if the process was slow, so what?

I had enough ti on hand, and so I persevered.

My daily routine remained unchanged, and though it may have been monotonous, I found it surprisingly enjoyable.

Finally, my perseverance bore fruit, and a few days before Lumina’s entrance exams, I successfully ford a Chaos Core.

’Status.’

I called out in my heart.

──────────────

Through hunting and training with Nancy, I managed to raise my level to 12. With three free stats per level and the help of my skill, Rapid Growth, my stats also got on par with an average level 20 player/awakened.

Of course, due to Chaos Core, similar to what occurred in the main world, here too my body underwent a tamorphosis and my skills mutated, but I had to admit that the end results were worth every effort.

However, it’s important to note that this ti, my Chaos Core only awarded a B-ranked Chaos Affinity trait, and even the stat value of [Chaos] was nearly half of what I received in the main world.

Whether this was due to my lower level or so other factor remained uncertain; even the system offered no clear explanation, advising to discover the reason on my own.

Subsequently, I could only set aside this mystery for the ti being and concentrate on understanding the changes brought about by the Chaos Core.

In terms of stats, the addition of the [Chaos] stat was significant, whereas in traits, I gained the [Chaos Affinity (B)]. However, in skills, the Chaos Core did not introduce any new skills; instead, it mutated one skill.

Nonetheless, instead of being upset about the limited changes, I felt extrely pleased because the single mutation of [Magic Resistance] into [Anti Magic] more than made up for everything.

———[Anti Magic]———

Description: Reject any and all Magical Phenonon at will.

Remarks: A skill exclusive to only protagonists is now owned by a villain.

—————————————

Even now, as I stared at my status window and read the description of the skill [Anti Magic], especially the remarks, I couldn’t believe that I possessed it.

’Seems like sotis miracles do happen even for villains, hehe.’

I chuckled inwardly, and my mind started spinning with possibilities for using [Anti Magic] in my wicked sches, when suddenly...

—Attention everyone.

The male supervisor’s low voice with a stiff tone echoed from the speakers in the ceiling, drawing the attention of everyone in the hall.

—We are about to start the practical test, and only those who pass will proceed to the written examination.

No one had the luxury of ti and energy to scrutinize the question papers of thousands of students. Therefore, while the written exams held importance, they were considered secondary in comparison to the practical.

—Each of you chose a corridor, and in there, choose a door to enter. Only one person is allowed in one room. Go.

With the instructions given, the hall erupted into motion as students made their way towards the corridors connected with the hall, each one stretching endlessly and lined with doors placed at regular intervals on opposing sides.

Surprisingly, everyone moved in an orderly manner, perhaps eager to make a favorable impression on the supervisors.

The people closest to the corridors entered the rooms in the front, and I, naturally standing at a corner, ended up at [Room 172] at the back.

Luckily, unlike many others who were left behind and now had to co tomorrow to try again since the exam was held for four consecutive days, I at least got a room.

Upon entering through the door, a small, white room of about 25 square ters appeared in front of .

On one side, it had a plain wall with a clock, and on the other, it had a wall covered in a blue protective barrier.

In the middle was a red cube that was sparkling on a table and an ordinary-looking black iron sword lying beside it.

—Now that all rooms are filled, I will explain the task for the test.

Following his declaration, the door behind shut.

—The test is simple: damage the wall on your right side, which is covered by a blue protective barrier. Now there are two ways to do so:

—The first is to solve the Mana Puzzle, which is that shining red cube, and press the button that’s inside it to undo the barrier and damage the wall. That is the typical way, following the rules.

—However, if you are strong enough to overco the rules, you can try the second way, which is to directly hit the wall through the barrier.

—Of course, even a single scratch would do, but you must rember that even a level 40 awakened would have to spend a dozen minutes to breach the protective barrier and hit the wall, let alone you all who aren’t even level 20 yet. So choose wisely since you will only have 10 minutes before the test ends.

—Rember, even a tiny scratch on the wall on the left ans success.

—So your ti starts...

The examinar paused, and then as soon as the second’s hand on the clock hit 12, he shouted:

— Now!

The announcent might have made others rush, but I was in no hurry.

I moved leisurely and picked up the sparking red box.

’Mana Puzzle.’

It was a cube-shaped box, but in essence, it was a puzzle structured like an onion.

To solve this puzzle, you had to unravel each layer by first analyzing and interpreting the flow of mana inside and then dismantling the structure, which even most experts could not do.

Directly attacking the Magic Cube was also out of the question, as it would trigger the puzzle’s safety chanism, resulting in the destruction of its contents.

Of course, this might be hard for others, but for , it was a child’s play, because even if I didn’t have my [Mana Affinity (A)] in this world, I still had [Chaos Affinity (B)].

It wasn’t as efficient as [Mana Affinity (A)], but I could use it to easily see through these petty tricks, just like how even when blindfolded, you could still tell the shape of an object using your sense of touch.

Not to ntion, I could even directly damage the wall, destroying the protective barrier.

"Well then, since I can do both, let’s do both."

Naturally, I wasn’t foolish enough to squander my energy or reveal my hidden hand to others so openly.

I had my own plans for displaying a part of my strength.

’Hehehe, I just hope you’re watching from there, Isabella.’
