"Rachael, do you love ?"
The mont Adrian uttered those words, a delicate silence enveloped the romantic air between them.
"..."
Rachael wasn’t at all surprised by the question. In fact, since the mont Adrian proposed a date, she had a hunch that sothing like this might occur, and that hunch had only strengthened throughout the day.
However, anticipating was one thing; facing it in reality left Rachael montarily flustered.
The romantic haze that had veiled her eyes lifted, and a sudden clarity settled over her, forcing her to grasp the gravity of the situation and rember the romantic kiss she shared with Adrian.
"I... I... I...."
Her attempts to articulate a response faltered. She opened her mouth, stumbled over her words, touched her lips, and then closed her mouth again, unsure of what to say.
Her mind went blank, a blush painted her face from neck to ears, and an instinctual urge to escape the awkwardness overtook her.
But Adrian wasn’t about to let that happen.
His hands, firm yet gentle, encircled Rachael’s waist, leaving her with no ans of escape.
Recognizing that escape was impossible and that her course of destiny hung on her forthcoming words, Rachael found herself at a crossroads.
Despite the internal turmoil, though, her heart already held an answer, and with little hesitation, she opened her mouth and mumbled her response.
"... I do."
The voice was barely audible, but Adrian heard it clearly due to his superhuman hearing.
Rachael’s acceptance caught him by surprise because, truth be told, although he knew she would never reject him, he anticipated a more nuanced response.
He was prepared for sothing along the lines of, ’I... I don’t know, I need so ti.’
Following which, Rachael would have likely lowered her head, harboring a deep, guilt-filled heart, and Adrian was ready for these feelings of hers to accumulate in her heart and eventually burst forth in a few days.
Nonetheless, Rachael’s straightforward response, even though unexpected, was a delightful surprise, and Adrian was no fool to dismiss an opportunity like this.
However, when he tried to move inside while still holding her waist, Rachael gave strength to her legs and did not move, making him assu she was feeling a bit shy and nervous.
So to alleviate her concerns, he raised his eyebrows and asked playfully, breaking her state of tension.
"Rachael doesn’t love ?"
"No!! I definitely do!!! I..."
Her hurried exclamation, accompanied by a blushing face, only heightened her adorable charm, and Adrian couldn’t resist pulling her closer into his arms.
Lifting her chin, he locked eyes with her and probed gently.
"Then what seems to be going on in your head? Is there sothing you want to say?"
Rachael’s eyes shook at his words, revealing a hidden turmoil within her.
There was truly sothing in her heart that she wanted to ask him. She didn’t know how to say it at first, but now that he had asked, Rachael bit her lower lip, hesitated, and, in a low voice, asked,
"D-Daisy, do you love her too?"
Right away, Adrian understood what Rachael was worried about, and a rare, gentle smile appeared on his face as he replied truthfully.
"I don’t love Daisy... It’s a master-slave relationship."
He could have made an excuse, but he had no intention of hiding it.
"It might sound unethical to you, but it’s her own wish, and our relationship is more like a transaction."
Surprisingly, instead of heartbreak, hearing those words, a wave of relief washed over Rachael, and the knot in her heart lted.
She was glad that Adrian didn’t love Daisy.
As for his physical relationship with her or with other girls, Rachael was indeed extrely jealous.
But so what?
To gain sothing, you have to lose sothing.
She asked herself,
’What was the probability that a girl would find her dream lover with all the qualities she wanted in him? Not to ntion, would that person have the sa heart as her?’
The probability was not that high, and even Rachael, with no dating experience, knew how fortunate she was to have Adrian, who exceeded her every expectation.
Furthermore, their statuses were worlds apart.
Rachael might not have realized it in the past, but living with Adrian for the past two weeks, she understood clearly that she, who didn’t even know how to pay next month’s bill, and him, the sole heir of the Vaiself Conglorate, didn’t inhabit the sa world at all.
Besides, Rachael had already fallen for him, and in her opinion, "those things" had already happened between them, so there was no point in shying away now.
On the contrary, rembering that vixen Daisy, Rachael knew she had to be proactive.
’For now, there is no one in Adrian’s life except Charlotte, who is his shadow, but what about the future?’
It was a daunting thought, but she couldn’t avoid it.
Rachael didn’t want any more girls in his life, and even if they ca, she wanted herself to be the one he loved the most.
But to secure that position, Rachael recognized the need to step out of her comfort zone, take the lead, and actively fortify her place in his heart.
’If I make love to him and satisfy him myself, I might be able to get ahead of everyone, and he wouldn’t have to go to others at all.’
She thought so; her eyes beca determined involuntarily, and not wanting to miss this opportunity, she snuggled in his arms and whispered.
"Don’t worry, I understand… and I do… I love you."
"Thank you, and I love you too, Rachael."
His declaration of love, coupled with the tender caress of her back, sent waves of joy through her heart.
Unable to contain her emotions, she sought reassurance.
"Do you really, really love ?"
She wanted to hear him say it again.
"Love you, Rachel."
"...I am a nobody girl; I don’t know what to do; I am an idiot; do you love even though I don’t have anything?"
She didn’t know what she was saying; her words spilled out in a stream of self-doubt, yet with each utterance, her anticipation and excitent swelled.
"It doesn’t matter; my heart will never change."
"… Tell you love ."
"I love you, Rachael."
" too. I love you too."
Rachael’s shouted, and her beating heart felt like it was about to jump out. The night sky, which had been dyed black and white after the fireworks ended, seed to have found color again.
Seeing her like this, a smile naturally appeared on Adrian’s face, and witnessing it, Rachael felt that a brilliant sun had risen in her world that was filled with heavy rain clouds.
"Would you always love ?"
"I will."
Hearing that confirmation from him, a feeling of fullness blood in her heart. It was the first ti in her life that she had experienced such a sensation.
Rachael couldn’t control the corners of her mouth that rose up. She felt like she was going crazy because of the flas that started to burn in her mind and spread to her body.
Observing Rachael’s escalating passion and the intensity in her eyes, a myriad of questions churned within Adrian, eager to surface. However, he decided to withhold them for now, and a new idea erged in his heart.
’Looks like the plan to et Daisy in the warehouse and those captives has to be postponed for tomorrow.’
With that in mind, he didn’t waste any ti bringing her inside and shutting the balcony door.
Rachael was led by his hand without resistance.
Inside the luxurious bedroom, Adrian lifted her feather-light figure and sat down on the bed, casually making her sit on his left thigh.
’Tonight, I will eat you out, my lovely Rachael.’
Licking his lips inwardly, he smiled deviously in his heart, and his eyes, looking at Rachael sitting on his thigh, glead with an intense light.
