Chapter 706: Is This A Challenge?
"Oh..." It was not only Lu Yizhou whose emotions were stirred by all of the revelations. Zeke’s eyes beca hot and he could not hold back his tears either.
He had always thought of himself as an emotionless monster. All those mundane feelings that humans had, he had considered it as a miracle that he would not be able to attain for a lifeti. However, he glimpsed upon that wonder with Lu Yizhou for the very first ti.
Perhaps at that ti, when they spent three years together in that wooden cabin, his heart had already been moved by this taciturn, dreary yet gentle assassin. Alas, it was not until he entered the simulator did he realize that there was a na for this emotion – love. He loved this assassin. He loved him so, so much. Zeke shakily moved to hug Lu Yizhou closer as fat droplets of tears rolled down his cheeks. "I love you too. Lu Yizhou, I love you too much..." he trembled with the weight of the feelings he had for this man, they were too powerful and magical and his chest was going to burst apart soon if he did not vent it out. Tilting his head, he latched his lips along the man’s sharp jaws and pleaded desperately, "Kiss ... Lu Yizhou, please–mmh!" Zeke’s incoherent murmurs abruptly ended in a strangled gasp when Lu Yizhou’s lips crashed against him.
His eyelids fluttered shut as he fully imrsed himself in the most emotional kiss they had ever shared. The way they sought and tore into each other’s lips were akin to a dying man who desperately struggled for the last drop of oxygen to live. As if they would perish into dust if they were to stop even for air. Zeke felt a sharp sting followed by the tallic taste of blood on the tip of his tongue, yet rather than stopping, it made the passion of fire in their bodies burn hotter instead.
When Lu Yizhou licked the seams of his lips and invaded his mouth to entangle with his tongue, he could not resist a soft moan escaping his lips. All of a sudden, he recalled the last ti Lu Yizhou had kissed him this roughly was when his identity was still experint subject 55, and it made him cry even harder. He pressed closer to Lu Yizhou and his fingers moved to tug on his blonde hair. He gave Lu Yizhou’s tongue a harsh suck before easing back, panting, "Don’t..." he swallowed past the lump of his throat, the tears blurring his vision as he let out a raw, heartfelt plea that gutted Lu Yizhou’s right on the weakest spot of his heart. "Don’t leave
again, okay...?"
What happened these past few hours had really scared him. And exactly because he knew how destructive Lu Yizhou was that it beca all the more horrifying. Zeke could not imagine how he could fare without Lu Yizhou in his life. No! He didn’t even want to think about it! Absolutely not!
"I won’t..." Lu Yizhou caught his lips again, nibbling, as he murmured a solemn vow amidst the fervent kisses. "This life of mine has already beco yours, sweetheart. Until the day you tell
to go, I won’t ever leave you..."
Their warm and heated breath intermingled with each other, and their lips tasted of blood and salty tears. It could not be any more perfect.
However, as Zeke registered the full aning behind Lu Yizhou’s words, he beca angry and tugged on the man’s blonde hair harder. "What did you say? Leave you?" He let out a low and beautiful laugh that was filled with derision. "Stupid assassin, if you dare to say sothing like that once again..." he let his words trail off and his eyes narrowed nacingly. He could not bear to leave this man even on the brink of death. So how could Lu Yizhou spout this kind of nonsense?!
Lu Yizhou raised a brow, presumably at the sudden new nickna and how smoothly Zeke had said it. Unfortunately, Zeke couldn’t care less because he had just been reminded of one important fact. His pupils shook wildly. "Wait a minute, you... you entered the simulator, didn’t you? That ans—" He abruptly choked on his breath, unable to continue any longer.
Everything had been so chaotic ever since he woke up that he failed to consider what it ant to show up inside the simulator. He was a special case as his main purpose was to find Lu Yizhou as well as to cure his illness. But what about Lu Yizhou? There was only one type of person who would join Dr. Feng’s project and when he recalled the specific criteria of the participants, tears spilled forth of his eyes anew.
His heart ached. It ached so much for this lonely yet imnsely kind man. How could the world be so harsh and unkind toward him?
"Sshh, it’s okay..." Now it was Lu Yizhou’s turn to wipe his tears, helpless yet distressed in equal asure. "It’s all in the past. I won’t do such a stupid thing again." There was one thing he did not say though. Even if he were to rewind ti a thousand tis, he would still take the sa decision and go through all those dark and depressing days if it ant he could et his lover. But he had a hunch that Zeke would get angrier if he said that so he wisely refrained himself from doing so.
"Do you think that I will let you?!" Zeke glared at him through his tears. "Goddamnit it! I have watched over you closely for three years. I won’t let you do anything harmful again— what the hell are you laughing at?!"
Lu Yizhou tried to press down the curl of his lips to no avail. Now that Zeke brought it up, countless mories suddenly flashed through his mind. The kitten’s bizarre and human-like behavior, its fussy and moody deanor... they indeed resembled a certain soone very much. No wonder he had always felt a strange sense of familiarity with Ren Zexi even though it was their first encounter.
"Nothing." To distract his grumpy lover, Lu Yizhou leaned in and peppered kisses on his soft and fair cheek, slowly trailing down to his neck. The breath he exhaled was hot and the prairie fire in his heart was set ablaze at the minute changes of his lover’s body.
Zeke shifted uneasily, his cheeks burning hot. With their close proximity, there was no way Lu Yizhou would not notice his swelling erection. The way Lu Yizhou’s mouth moved to press one heated kiss after another along the column of his neck was unbearably hot. Lu Yizhou’s powerful arms caged around his waist, cutting off any ans of retreat he had concocted. "W–Wait..." his breathing started to quicken as he dug his nails into the hard muscles of Lu Yizhou’s shoulders. Any coherent thoughts in his mind started to disperse like a crumbling sandcastle, yet in the end he still managed to grab hold of a convincing argunt. "Wait a minute... you’re still injured!"
Goodness, how could he have forgotten it?! Just a few hours ago, this person’s heart had stopped! Now was not the ti for so hanky-panky, no matter how hot-blooded and desperate they were! Just as Zeke was trying to talk the man out of this, Lu Yizhou raised his head and arched his perfectly shaped brow, his voice was deep and ravishing as he asked, "Is this a challenge?"
"...?!!" Zeke was so shocked by a certain soone’s crooked logic that he could not react for a while.
However, that certain soone seed to have taken his silence as approval as he rolled over and sat up on his heels. His scorching palms landed on Zeke’s knees then he gently parted Zeke’s legs to make so space for himself. "Challenge accepted."
