Chapter 68: 3.8 Liar
When Oliver woke up again, his mind was so disoriented that he couldn’t rember what he was doing before. The familiar ceiling of his room entered his sight and he groaned at the sluggishness and bone creaking ache all over his body. What the heck was he doing before? It was like he had just been ran over by a—his eyes flew open abruptly and he shot up sitting. In an instant, soreness spread through his hips and a weird sensation lingered in his butthole. Oliver grimaced. Colors drained from his face and he probed around the back of his neck in panic, only sighing in relief when he found the intact gland patch there.
Unfamiliar mories popped up in his mind one after another and he buried his face into his palms, groaning. "What have you done, stupid Oliver...? How can you just ask a stranger to be your mate? Idiot, you’re such an idiot!" Not only did he offer such an audacious request, he even told the Alpha to stick his fingers into his ass. Ugh! Just thinking about it was enough to make him want to die!
When Haga—Oliver’s old nanny and personal servant—entered the room, what she found was Oliver who was curling under the blanket, brooding. Shaking her head helplessly, she pulled the blanket off Oliver. "How long do you intend to stay on the bed, Oliv? You have been sleeping for three whole days!"
"Three days?!" Oliver exclaid in shock.
Haga shook her head in apprehension. "You silly child. You should have told
that you’re expecting your first heat! What should I do if sothing irreversible happened to you?!"
Oliver shrunk his head guiltily. "I thought it was only a mild cold...but—"
"No buts! Here, you should eat sothing light to recover your health." Haga huffed and pushed the food trolley forward. The delicious fragrance of at congee wafted into Oliver’s nose and his stomach growled loudly. That’s right, he hadn’t eaten for three days. Seeing Oliver start to eat with gusto, the nanny couldn’t resist curling her lips. "Do you have any idea how worried I am because you didn’t return all night? Fortunately, the one who brought you back is a Beta, otherwise who knows what will happen to you." Even thinking about it still gave Haga lingering fear. If an oga in heat were to walk around the street, there was no difference between them and a fragrant at amidst a pack of hungry wolves.
"A beta...?" Oliver’s jaws dropped open. "A Beta brought
back?"
"Otherwise?!" Haga glared angrily and Oliver returned to eating his food obediently. "You should be grateful that no Alpha found you in that state. The Beta also injected you with a dose of heat suppressor..."
Oliver could no longer hear what Haga was talking about. A beta? He thought in confusion. So...what was with the mories in his head? The silver haired Alpha, the exquisite wings, sexy horns, enthralling pheromones that still sent shivers down his spine whenever he thought about it... Did he make it all up? No, it couldn’t be. The sensation on his body and the relief he felt wasn’t rely an imagination. He was sure that the Alpha nad Altair indeed existed and he was the one who made Oliver release so many tis to calm him down. But why was he not the one who brought him back? No more importantly, how did the Beta know where his house was?
There were so many questions in Oliver’s head and he couldn’t find anyone to give him answers. "Did the Beta say anything? How did he know where I live?"
Imnse disappointnt flooded Oliver’s chest when the nanny shook her head. "He rely said that you told him the address before you completely lost consciousness. Do you not rember? Oh and one more thing, you were groaning and tossing in your sleep. Did you have nightmares? You kept on calling soone’s na."
Oliver couldn’t recall ever giving his address to so stranger, he brooded. However he soon blushed when he registered the latter half of Haga’s sentence. Could it be...? Was he too affected to the point where it was brought into his dream. "Who?" He asked in a murmur.
"It’s such a weird sounding na that this old woman can’t no longer rember. What is it again? Lu—Lu sothing..."
Oliver frowned. Not Altair? Sheesh, Haga must have heard him wrong. Whose na would he call out other than that Alpha?
Haga patted his head softly. "Eat well and after that, we will go to the Royal Doctor to receive a dical check-up."
The Oga groaned. "What for?"
"This silly child." Haga was so angry that she laughed. "Of course we have to. This is your first heat and you even grew out a tail, rember? You have to let the doctor examine you to confirm that nothing’s wrong."
Oliver blinked and abruptly turned around. Behind his butt was a long, glossy black tail. He facepald. How could he forget this stupid tail? It was all because of Altair! Oliver was too preoccupied with the thought of the Alpha to rember his own condition. He agreed begrudgingly to Haga’s request and dismissed the nanny as he finished his food with much less enthusiasm than before.
Altair...
Oliver only knew him by that na. He could still fuzzily recall that Altair told him they would talk again after Oliver’s heat ended. Now that it had, where was Altair? He vanished without a trace, not even giving Oliver any ans to contact him. He put his spoon down and sighed. How should he find Altair now? No, wait, Oliver was flustered by his own thoughts—why should he find him?!
"Liar..." The rims of Oliver’s eyes reddened. "You promised . Then you went and disappeared on your own. Hmph! Who needs that stupid Alpha anyway?!" Yes, he could live for sixteen years just fine. Why should he feel sad just because he had been ditched?!
Stupid Altair! Oliver swore he could teach the Alpha a lesson if they t next ti!

Lu Yizhou sneezed.
[666: What’s wrong, Host? Did you catch a cold? Even though 666 has never bzzz...bzzz... heard that Eagles could catch a cold...]
"Did soone possibly miss you?" Derek asked beside him, raising both his brows up and down in teasing. "Have you regretted telling
to send the Oga back? What are you holding yourself back for? If you like him, you should go for it!" He thumped his chest proudly. "I swore on my dignity that no Oga will be able to resist Your Highness the Crown Prince oof—"
"Shut up." Lu Yizhou clamped Derek’s mouth shut and hissed. "Rember, I am Altair, an envoy from the Versatine Kingdom and you’re my colleague, Derek. If you dare expose my true identity, I will kick you back to Versatine."
"Wuwu—!" Derek blinked rapidly and let out a huge sigh when Lu Yizhou let go. "My apologies. Altair...Altair...I will get myself used to that na as soon as possible." He lifted his head and looked at the grandeur Alaze Royal Palace in front of him, sighing. "Are you sure we should do this now? If you’re going to be so worried about that Oga, why don’t you keep him in your condo?"
"Cease your nonsense." Lu Yizhou said as he sensed soone approaching. It was the high rank servant inside the Palace. As soon as she caught sight of them, her eyes automatically trailed to the wings behind Lu Yizhou’s back and her face visibly lit up.
"Are you two the envoys from Versatine?" She asked politely and upon receiving Derek’s confirmation, her smile beca wider. "Please join the Emperor in the dining hall for dinner. He has been awaiting your presence."
After that short greeting, the servant guided them into the palace straight to where the Emperor usually served the guests. The room was exactly how Lu Yizhou envisioned it to be. Antique golden chandelier, a large French window in dark wood color, creamy walls and in the middle of the room, a long white marble dining table that could hold at least fifty people on both sides.
The Emperor of Alaze, Bernard, sat on one head of the table. His body was proportionally huge, even just sitting there he exuded such a strong montum. His skin was a shade darker than Altair’s healthy bronze, almost chocolate. A pair of round ears twitched atop of his head as he heard the footsteps and as he caught sight of them, he instantly stood up and Lu Yizhou could sohow feel the ground beneath his feet shake. "Hello, envoys from Versatine. I, on behalf of Alaze, extend our sincerest welco to you. Please, don’t be so formal with !" A loud, cheerful booming voice rang out.
The corner of Lu Yizhou’s mouth twitched. Just one glance he could already confirm that the Emperor of Alaze was an Alpha bear. Originally, he thought that Altair was already huge with his 2.1 ters body but the Emperor was a full head taller than he was.
The Emperor turned to Lu Yizhou and guffawed. "Such nice wings and horns you have there. I have never known that Versatine has such a promising individual! Good, very good."
Lu Yizhou put his right palm over his chest and bowed forty five degrees, just like how Versatines did. His manner was both elegant and refined. "Thank you very much for your kind invitation, Your Majesty. I’m sorry for the late introduction. My na is Altair and this is Derek. We will represent our kingdom in the upcoming discussion with Alaze."
The Emperor nodded in satisfaction and stepped sideways to reveal the figure whom Lu Yizhou had neglected because his attention was sucked directly to Bernard the Bear. "You don’t mind more accompanint as we eat, do you?"
The figure stood up and curtsied gracefully. Her features were delicately exquisite and as she moved, a faint odor wafted in the air and Lu Yizhou wrinkled his nose, suppressing the urge to sneeze. The texture of her hair was different from normal humans, if Lu Yizhou had to point it out...it was just like a horse’s mane. It was glossy and shiny under the light. The tail behind her back swished back and forth, signalling her excitent.
[This is...]
[666: Yep, the female lead, Princess Rosemane.]
In ti with 666’s introduction, the horse oga talked, her voice gentle and coy as she directed bashful glances toward Lu Yizhou. "Greetings, respected envoys. I am Princess Rosemane but you can just call
Rose if you’d like."
