Chapter 675: Not Difficult To Guess

Unfortunately, Dr. Feng was close to the edge of the rooftop whereas the researcher was only less than five ters away from the door. Alard by the head administrator’s shout, the researcher burst out into an unimaginable speed and sprinted straight toward the door! Dr. Feng was not going to make it!

In the next mont—

"Ahh!!" The researcher gave a startled cry and collapsed to the ground, spasming violently like a fish out of water.

Nobody could react to this sudden developnt of the event and their jaws were practically hanging open. W–What was going on? Why did this person suddenly collapse just like that?

Unbeknownst to everyone, Lu Yizhou retracted his gaze and praised the system inside his mind. [Good job.]

[666: Hehe, this is what 666 should do. How dare he try to co up with sothing funny? Didn’t he realize that as long as he has not left this building, he will be under 666’s rcy?! Hmph!]

Looking at the traitor’s tornted look, Dr. Feng had so ideas in his heart. However, now was not the ti to ponder on it. He rushed to the limp man, grabbed him by the back collar and dragged him back to the group of researchers. This ti, he towered above the other and did not give him any chance to escape. Snarling, he demanded fiercely, "Why are you running away, huh?!"

The researcher had just been electrocuted and his body was still twitching. Suddenly being the recipient of skeptical and doubtful gazes from his colleagues, he shrunk his neck and curled up on the floor, crying out shafully. "I don’t know... I really don’t know anything!"

Dr. Feng was so angry that he barked out a laugh. "If you don’t know, then why are you acting like this?! How the hell did you enter this research institute with this pea-sized brain of yours?!"

"He is the spy," Lu Yizhou suddenly said, drawing everyone’s attention to him. "Or to be exact, he is only an informant. He doesn’t have the authority to enter the SSS patient’s room, so he can only observe my schedule every single day. Am I right?" His gaze was calm and startlingly bright as it cut into the researcher, revealing his inner secret to the public’s eyes.

Anger rushed to Dr. Feng’s head and he grabbed the researcher by the collar, yelling, "Who the hell are you giving the information for?! Spill it out!"

"I don’t know..." the researcher stamred out with tears and snots running down his face. "Head Administrator, I really don’t know...!"

"You—!" Even if soone beat him to death, Dr. Feng still would not believe anything this person said. How was it possible that he did not know anything?! Just who had hired this idiot in the first place? He was going to fire them all!

With Zeke in his arms, Lu Yizhou rose to his feet and staggered a bit before regaining his balance. Zeke was so frightened that his face turned as white as a sheet of paper. He had not spoken for three years and adding to the fact that he had just overexerted his vocal cord, his voice sounded scratchy and very weak as he asked in panic, "A–Are you okay?"

"I’m fine..." Lu Yizhou gave him a reassuring smile. Yet as soon as he said this, a harsh wind blew by, carrying the faint scent of blood to Zeke’s nose. He stiffly turned his head and saw that on the spot where Lu Yizhou was crouching just now... there was a small puddle of blood!

Everyone also noticed this. Not only that, because they were further away, they could see that the back of Lu Yizhou’s shirt was damp, turning the fabric darker. At first they thought it was due to the snow, but now that they spotted the pool of crimson on the ground, they abruptly ca to a realization that it was not snow at all! Oh goodness! How severe his injuries were to have shed so much blood?!

Dr. Xiao and Dr. Feng’s faces were ashen. The latter had to hold onto the traitor, and thus only Dr. Xiao rushed to them with her eyes brimming in tears. "Are you okay, Lu Yizhou?! Can you carry him? Put him down! I will take it from here!!"

Zeke’s eyes were so red as if they were going to drip out blood. He tried to look at Lu Yizhou’s back, only for the man to clutch him tighter to his chest, preventing him from seeing anything. He did not resist for fear that it would aggravate Lu Yizhou’s wound and demanded severely instead, "She’s right... put

down! Put

down, Lu Yizhou!"

"I’m fine." Lu Yizhou said again. However, he still carefully handed Zeke over to Dr. Xiao, proving that he was not as well as he claid to be. After making sure that Dr. Xiao was doing alright, he shifted his gaze toward the traitor in Dr. Feng’s grip. "He is telling the truth. He doesn’t necessarily need to know who he is working for. The paynt is good, and you only need to report my schedule to the other side. No harm will be done at all. And hence, you took on the job without any concern, am I right?"

The man’s lips opened and closed, yet no words ca out. The gaze he directed toward Lu Yizhou was full of fear and apprehension.

"However, you never expected that things would beco like this. I have always co to the institute at scheduled ti. As soon as I broke this routine, the other side would instantly know that sothing had happened. Thus, they set an ambush outside. When you discovered that those people really wanted to kill , you finally realized that sothing was wrong. You’re afraid that you will be implicated and hence, you tried to run away. Am I right?" Even though Lu Yizhou was asking, his tone was certain and firm. It was as if he was just speaking the truth out loud.

Dr. Feng was shaken. "Then, you know—"

"It is not difficult to guess." Lu Yizhou turned around and walked toward the ladder where he had thrown the cannons aside earlier. He had snatched them from the enemies a split second before they could activate the cannon. Well, he had 666 to thank too. Because those people already reached the institute ground, 666 was able to draw so ergency electricity to stun them, enabling Lu Yizhou to execute his plan smoothly. "There is only one person in this world who wants to see Zeke dead."

As much as he had tried to keep his gait fluid and natural, there was a subtle limp to his legs that would be noticeable to whoever watched him closely. And against his luck, the researchers happened to be a group of observant and ticulous people. They imdiately realized that sothing was wrong with Lu Yizhou!

"Damn it!" Dr. Feng cursed under his breath. He shoved the traitor to the group of researchers and briskly walked forward to support Lu Yizhou. The concern in his voice could not be concealed. "What the hell is wrong with you? If you’re injured, then sit still! Why are you still walking around like this?!"

Lu Yizhou was taken off guard. How could he be exposed so fast? Heaving a helpless sigh, he shook Dr. Feng’s hands off to grab the cannon on the ground, then propped it on his shoulder.

The researchers had just tasted the might of these exploding crystal balls with their own eyes, and they could not help but get nervous when they saw Lu Yizhou’s posture. "W–What do you want to do with that cannon?!"

The mushroom cloud earlier had already been imprinted deeply into everyone’s mory. The shock wave it brought forth was so extre that even the blizzard had llowed into soft, floating snowflakes. They stared fearfully at the cannon and could not help but shuffle a few steps backward.

The most terrified one was none other than the traitor. He tried to struggle and run away to no avail. Every single ti, a burst of electricity would run through his body, rendering him immobile and helpless. He felt like he was going crazy soon! He really regretted it now. He shouldn’t have taken that job despite the enormous paynt!

Lu Yizhou’s expression was colder than the current temperature as he addressed the traitor. "Send him a ssage just like how you always sent the information. Tell him to co out otherwise... I will launch this cannon in his hiding place right now. I am not joking at all."
