Chapter 627: 10.22 Silly Misunderstanding
The temperature of Lu Yizhou’s body was scalding, and with their distance so close like this, Pandora felt as if every inch of his skin was licked by the tongue of flas. Heat exploded on his face and even without looking, he knew that he must look as red as a boiled shrimp!
"Y–You... Let go!" He tried to struggle out of Lu Yizhou’s grip to no avail. The man was holding onto him so tight that Pandora was squeezed breathless. Hot anger surged up his chest. He knew it! He should not have indulged this human, otherwise he would start to co up with all these shenanigans to catch Pandora off guard. Just like now!
"Why don’t you say it?" Lu Yizhou was strangely persistent on hearing the answer out of Pandora’s mouth. His expression turned gloomy when he restrained Pandora’s struggling body in his arms. "You ran all this way to see ... only to say sorry? When you don’t even know what you are apologizing for?"
Being called out like this only served to add to the humiliation Pandora was feeling right now. At first, he only wanted to reconcile with Lu Yizhou and maybe coax him a bit so he would not get angry anymore. But to force him to say sothing like this already exceeded Pandora’s limit! Enraged, Pandora shot his hand out to grab Lu Yizhou’s neck. He glowered nacingly, "That’s right. I don’t think I have anything to be sorry for. Even though you’re the only one who can hear my voice, even though you’re the only one who can bring
out of here... does it give you any right to control ?!"
He exerted a little force and his nails sank into the fragile side of Lu Yizhou’s neck, drawing blood. The coldness in Pandora’s eyes was so intense that icicles could be ford on the ceiling. "It will be so easy to kill you right now..." the corner of his lips tilted into a rciless smile. "Why do you think you’re still alive until now?"
Only God knew that he was not as calm and composed as he showed on the outside.
Pandora’s heart, which had always been as placid as a frozen lake, thumped irregularly as soon as he saw crimson blood flowing on Lu Yizhou’s skin. It was beating so hard, almost painfully. Pandora had never experienced sothing like this and thus, he had no idea how to describe the complicated emotions he was feeling right now. One thing for certain was... he really did not want to hurt Lu Yizhou.
But he had no other choice! Who told this human to be so despicable?! Pandora was not willing to be seen as the weaker party. As such, he could only force himself to maintain his current montum. He was desperately wishing that Lu Yizhou would retaliate and give him a reason to back down.
However... why did this human remain motionless?! Didn’t he realize that if Pandora were to exert more force, then his neck would be broken right there and then?! Did he not feel the pain?! Why did he never act the way Pandora expected him to?!
Pandora was so frustrated that he wanted to pull on his hair and scream out loud.
Not only did Lu Yizhou not resist, he even subtly tilted his head in order to give Pandora wider access. This deanor of his could only be described with one word: indulging. The gaze he directed toward Pandora was complicated, filled with profound emotions he could not discern. "Why... do you think I want to control you?" he asked in a slightly raspy voice.
Pandora ignored the tingling on his palm due to the vibration of Lu Yizhou’s vocal cord and focused on the weird question he had just asked. He was feeling very confused now. If Lu Yizhou did not an to control him, then... what had he been doing all this while?
Lu Yizhou realized the crux of the problem after he saw Pandora’s adorable confused look. Helplessness overca him in waves. He should have seen this coming... His lover had always been prideful and overbearing. He was a free spirit who should not be restrained. In their relationship, he always tried to gain the upper hand, especially the matter on the bed.
Lu Yizhou did not allow Pandora to continue talking to Percy simply because he still had no clear idea on how his lover’s power worked. Could he only grant one wish or could he do more? He had known from the original plot how poisonous Percy’s mouth could be. In order to prevent another tragedy from happening, he could only forcibly stop their interaction and keep his lover as far away as possible from the protagonist.
But Pandora did not know any of that. Adding on to Percy’s misleading words, he assud that... Lu Yizhou wished to turn him into a perfect puppet.
Oh, how wrong he was. Lu Yizhou would never try to control his lover. He knew deep in his soul that... his lover would always co back to him in the end. He only needed to stay, make sure that no harm ca to him, and protect him. As simple as that.
Goodness... they were having this silly misunderstanding again...
Unable to help it, a faint laugh bubbled out of his throat.
Pandora was stunned, and then he beca angry again. "What are you laughing at?!"
Lu Yizhou held onto Pandora’s wrist and gently pulled it away from his neck. His lover had not held back at all when he choked him. There were five holes on the side of Lu Yizhou’s neck that were still bleeding profusely. However, he acted as if he knew nothing. He brought Pandora’s hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. "Silly man... I didn’t an to control you at all."
Pandora had not expected this kind of reaction at all. He froze in surprise. Then realizing what Lu Yizhou had just done, he hastily yanked his hand away and gritted out irritably, "If you want to speak, then speak. What are you kissing
for?!"
"Haven’t you realized it?" A faint smile tugged on the corner of his beautiful lips. The arm around Pandora tightened, bringing the youth closer to him until the distance between them was only less than an inch. "There can only be one reason why."
His mysterious attitude and that attractive smile had Pandora’s heart beating like a drum. He could not help but be pulled along by the electric current. "...What is it?"
"Stupid," Lu Yizhou said with an amused smile. Pandora could not even bring himself to get angry because Lu Yizhou suddenly dropped a bomb with his next sentence, "Of course, it’s because I want to kiss you."
Pandora could feel his jaws dropping. Eyes flew wide, he gaped at Lu Yizhou with a dazed look. What did he just hear? This person... wanted to kiss him? He did not fear him at all and instead, wanted to kiss him?? As soon as the words registered in Pandora’s mind, a dizzying sensation trickled down his spine and all the hair on his body stood on its end. He seed to realize Lu Yizhou’s aning, but at the sa ti... he also didn’t. He had been living in this place for too long, after all. He had seen all kinds of atrocities and filthiness of human beings, the ugly and appalling side of humanity, darkness beyond comprehension... It had turned him into a creature with a hollow soul.
He had never encountered anyone like Lu Yizhou, who looked him in the eye without fear, who treated him with nothing but kindness and tenderness, who... offered him such warmth.
Pandora could not understand it. He tilted his head and studied Lu Yizhou closely. From such a close distance, all emotions in Lu Yizhou’s eyes were bared for him to see. There was no need to use his power at all. From the beginning, this person had always treated him with honesty and nothing else.
"Kiss ?" He asked, the word sounded extrely foreign on his tongue. "Why?"
