Chapter 321: 7.11 Disobedience
Dizziness struck Lu Yizhou and he coughed into his fist only to co up with blood.
Damn it... Lu Yizhou looked around. People were starting to sneak glances at him ever since his tussle with Zion but fortunately, Moshe’s people were too preoccupied with chasing after Zion to realize that he was supposed to be the ’pet’ their boss had bought from the gladiator stadium.
The taxi driver had driven away from God-knows-when. Lu Yizhou discreetly wiped his palm on his dark trousers and straightened up, walking with a gait as casual as he could muster to join the crowd. He couldn’t afford to get seen by Moshe’s people anymore. Eyes darting around in caution, Lu Yizhou sought a place where he could use as a smokescreen.
Moshe was sharp; he would be able to put two and two together if he found out that Lu Yizhou especially ca here only to return after bumping into Zion. Or worse, he might even suspect that Lu Yizhou had so kind of involvent with his mortal nesis.
Indeed, Lu Yizhou’s intention for coming here was to stage an accident so that Zion wouldn’t be able to go to the other male protagonist. Better if he was trapped and sohow killed in the process. However, Lu Yizhou’s plan involved paying so thugs — ones who feared no one and didn’t affiliate themselves to the mafias — to teach Zion so lesson.
He had already had 666 locate these people. Alas, before he could get into contact with them, he was intercepted by Zion and hence, had no choice but to do the dirty job himself.
Mission accomplished, Lu Yizhou only needed a reason, one logical enough that wouldn’t spare Moshe any room for doubt.
But what...?
The pain was slowly ssing with Lu Yizhou’s mind and breathing gradually beca a painful thing to do. No, he couldn’t keep walking... had to find soplace to sit until Moshe found him. Lu Yizhou’s eyes veered to the cinema with large LED posters plastered on display, showing a variety of worldwide movies. Perfect.
His eyes rapidly scanned the closet showing ti, bought one ticket for himself — didn’t even check what movie it was — before stumbling into the theater in ti for the light to dim. He plopped his butt to the seat, heaved out a sigh of relief and closed his eyes.

Moshe was going to teach Aiden a lesson.
Oh, he swore he was going to.
His mood was already sour to begin with when Zion managed to break through the barricade of his people, gunning three of his n straight on their heads before disappearing without a trace. His spies had been sacrificing themselves to give them this super rare chance to ambush Zion in person and now, everything had gone down the drain.
"Boss, leave it to ," Kaede had said. "With his injury, he won’t be able to get far."
At first, Moshe intended to stay behind because he wanted to see Zion’s end with his own eyes but then, he suddenly recalled a certain person with silver eyes that had been waiting for him at ho. This was his pet’s first day of moving in to a new house. What kind of owner would he be if he just left him to fend for himself?
Aiden had asked Moshe to take him along even without knowing Moshe’s real identity. There was no way he could have known that Moshe was a mafioso, so the only reason why he was asking for such a thing was... to search for an opportunity to escape. That was the only possibility Moshe could co up with.
Moshe couldn’t help but snort. Did Aiden think that he was so stupid to fall for such a trick?
...As it turned out, Moshe was indeed an idiot.
"What do you an by you lost sight of him," he deadpanned into the phone, voice flat. Moshe was soone who could keep smiling under any situation — the only exception was when he was with Kaede because his right hand man would always be able to guess his mood — that’s why hearing such an obvious blandness from his tone was enough to make the person on the other line piss in their pants.
"B—Boss, forgive us! We... We also didn’t know how it happened. He suddenly—"
Moshe promptly hung up and told his driver. "Turn around. Summon everyone who’s free to get to this location." He opened an app in his phone that connected him to the tracker in Aiden’s body. Moshe had worried that he was too paranoid but now, he was grateful for his insight for making this decision in the past.
He had known since early on — since the first ti he laid eyes upon that dangerous, intense man — that Aiden was going to be a handful. Oh... Moshe was going to have fun instilling obedience into him. He couldn’t wait.
It took less than half an hour for his n to zero in on Aiden’s location. Moshe couldn’t believe his ears when he received the report. "What did you say?"
"B—Boss, he’s currently in theater 5, seat A1." His subordinate stamred as he handed the movie ticket. Moshe looked down at the small piece of paper in his hands. Theater 5 seat A2, currently showing the rerun of a popular children show; Spongebob Squarepants The Movie.
The corner of Moshe’s mouth twitched and all of a sudden, he barked out a furious laugh. So Aiden managed to evade a gang of his trained mbers, escaped all this way to the suburban entertainnt district to... watch this kind of silly movie?! Who was he kidding?!
Moshe stomped his way into the theater and received glares from nurous children and young couples for the ruckus he had made — how dare they?! — before his gaze landed on the sole person sitting on the corner most row near the sound system.
Moshe was unable to gauge Aiden’s expression from where he was standing. But still, as soon as he laid eyes on that unmistakable figure, a profound relief flooded his chest before he snapped to his senses the very next second. What was he feeling relieved of?! Furious, Moshe marched his way up the stairs to sit down beside Aiden, chest still heaving with barely restrained rage.
This was unlike Moshe at all.
He had been trained to keep his expression tightly behind a mask of cordiality, to never wear it on his sleeves no matter what kind of peril he was thrown into. He had had difficulty rearing his emotions back when he was still a teenager, but over the ti Moshe found himself resembling a calm, stagnant lake more and more. Nothing could ever faze him, nothing could ever provoke him... except one occasion. Moshe only let himself loose when he was ramming his dick into soone’s ass.
However, in less than 24 hours, Aiden had managed to tear down everything Moshe had always known about himself. Moshe hated how everything seed to spiral out of his control!
Moshe kept his gaze to the stupid yellow sponge with his idiotic starfish friend and carefully didn’t ruminate on how the light from the large screen had made Aiden look even more ethereal. His eyes were practically two pools of molten copper, iridescent, with millions of stars swirling within.
He asked in an overly sweet, saccharine tone. "Enjoying the movie, Aiden?"
To his dismay, the man even dared to answer with a simple ’Mn’!
Moshe seethed, knuckles turning white. Even then, his tone remained sweet and bewitching, like a parent talking to his petulant child. "Have you had your fill yet? I told you, I really... really dislike disobedient people. Rember that your sister’s life is still in my hands?" His report had told him that Aiden cherished his sister more than his own life. Not that Moshe would ever hurt an innocent child, but it was nice to know that he still held an advantage over Aiden.
No reply ca from the side. What? Aiden didn’t even dignify his questions with an answer now?! Moshe was ready to explode when in the next mont, Aiden’s head tilted toward him... lower and lower until it dropped to rest right on the crook of Moshe’s neck. Moshe froze and his spine straightened. What was Aiden doing...?
The breath grazing the skin on his neck was hot. Or maybe, it was the temperature of Moshe’s own body. He inhaled deeply through the roaring buzz in his ears. "What are you getting up to, Aiden?"
If Aiden thought that this kind of act would be able to free him from Moshe’s wrath, then he was sorely wrong! Had he had so misconception that Moshe had a soft spot for him enough to pardon this obvious show of rebellion?!
"Get off ," Moshe gritted his teeth and his hand shot out to grip Aiden around his throat.
And then he was startled because Aiden’s temperature was searing. It was abnormal.
Moshe turned to look at Aiden for the first ti since he entered and simultaneously, a bright flash ca from the screen. Bright enough to illuminate the dampness on Aiden’s shirt that seeped through his clothes. Moshe’s pupils shrank as his hand around Aiden’s neck loosened to reach for the red spot with the tip of his fingers. They ca out red. His heart instantly chilled.
"Aiden...?"
Aiden’s eyes were tightly shut, brows furrowed in obvious pain. Unconscious.
