Chapter 316: 7.6 Mind Reading
[So am I another side character again? Please don’t tell
my na is really Jack.]
[666: *giggles* actually Host, you and the villain don’t even cross paths in the original plot. And do not worry, Jack The Reaper is just a nickna that the establishnt gives you so people can rember you easily!]
Oh thank God, Lu Yizhou let out a sigh of relief. It wasn’t like he had any enmity toward that particular na — well scratch that; he actually had. In the past, there used to be soone nad ’Jack’ who had made his life feel like Hell. Lu Yizhou sneered when he recalled the mory. Even though he had already dismbered that person limb by limb, he’d still prefer it if he didn’t have to hear that na again.
In this world, he was Aiden, a 23 years old male — as opposed to Moshe who was three years older than him — whose life revolved around working to pay off his deceased parents’ debts and raise his little sister.
[666: Just a reminder, Host! Aiden is a guy who loves his sister very much! She’s only nine years old and is currently studying in a nearby elentary school with the money Aiden gets from underground fighting. Once again, you are not allowed to abandon your sister otherwise you will be judged as OOC!]
Alright, Lu Yizhou took a deep, deep bright. Did it an that he had to... continue his mission, involving himself with the underworld whilst babysitting his nine years old sister?!
[666: That’s right, 666 believes you can do it! Host is mighty, Host is aweso, Host is powerful! So without crossing paths with the mafia, Aiden will continue to live his life with his sister until... six months later—oh! Host, you will be one of the unfortunate victims in the bombing accident! If all goes according to the original plot, you will be working in the hotel as a bellboy, caught in the crossfire and die leaving your little sister behind! Congratulations!]
[Congratulations your ass.] Lu Yizhou gritted his teeth. [Where are we now in the plot? Have the protagonists t each other?]
There was a lot of way to prevent the bombing accident from happening. First, make sure that Kaede didn’t kidnap Cedric. In this way, Zion wouldn’t go crazy and go on a mad rampage. Second, prevent the two protagonists from eting altogether. Lu Yizhou liked that choice very much. How nice would it be if the story didn’t even start at all?
[666: Um... sorry to burst your bubble, Host, but 666 doesn’t think you can achieve that. Unfortunately, tonight is the night Zion will get injured and et his other half, Cedric. And it’s not like you can get out of the bed, can’t you? Heheh~]
Lu Yizhou vowed to send a petition to Dr. Feng after this world so that 666 would be given a physical body.
[Dr. Feng said that he has given
compensation. What is it?]
[666: Oh! 666 has almost forgotten about it! Admin God has granted you a new permanent skill ’Mind Reading’, Host! It’s so cool! 666 also wants this kind of skill!]
The corner of Lu Yizhou’s mouth twitched. He opened the system panel to check the skill’s description.
Permanent Skill: Mind Reading (Level 1)
Guide on how to use: First, you have to look into the other person’s eyes then say, "Tell
what’s in your mind." Only then will the skill be activated. It will be effective for five minutes and only for one person at a ti! This is a permanent skill that is automatically equipped. Unable to be deleted.
Additional notes: Level up is supported by regular use. The higher the level is, the more people you will be able to charm with this skill! Cooldown ti one hour.
...This wasn’t bad at all. The mission could be completed much easier with this skill, Lu Yizhou mused. There had been instances in the past where he could have evaded various inconveniences if he could read people’s minds.
But on the other hand, there was also a very fatal downside to it; the skill could only be activated if he looked into the other’s eyes and said the spell. What if his mouth was gagged? What if the other person didn’t et his eyes? Wouldn’t he not be able to use the skill then?
He huffed out a sigh. Well, he would think about it when the ti ca.

Kaede held the thin report in one hand whilst pressing on the bell of Moshe’s ’private room’ with the other. He waited until there was a green light from the detector above the door before entering.
In an instant, Kaede had to wrinkle his nose due to the heavy scent of musk that almost saturated each corner of the room. This... This place truly reeked beyond comparison! Exactly how wild had his boss gone with his entertainnt?
No matter how many tis Kaede had co here, he still couldn’t bring himself to get used to it. For starters, he couldn’t fathom Moshe’s... special interest in inflicting pain toward his partner and judging from the audible whimpers and gasps coming behind the partition screen, it seed like Moshe had crossed the line again. Kaede clicked his tongue and shook his head, exasperated.
"Boss!" He called out loudly. "I am here with the report you have asked."
The suggestive sounds halted for a split second before a surprise ’ah!’ resounded throughout the soundproof room coming from Moshe’s current victim. Kaede pitied the man because the next second ca a choked sound, sign that he was promptly gagged. A mont later, Moshe ca out from the screen still donned in the burgundy suit, not even a single strand of hair out of place.
Kaede’s eyebrows almost raised to his hairline. Moshe only indulged in sex everyti he was very stressed... which wasn’t so often but not too seldom either. The main problem was, he had only done it last night so why did he summon one of his fuckboys here again today? Moreover, instead of looking relaxed, Moshe’s brows were furrowed deeply and he looked very irritated in the sa way as when that fucking cobalt snake Zion got in his way again.
Kaede handed the report to Moshe’s outstretched hand whilst carefully observing his face. "Boss..." He tried tentatively. "Is that madman causing troubles for you again?"
Moshe scowled deeper. "Why are you talking about him all of a sudden?"
"Ah no, it’s nothing..." Kaede chuckled sheepishly. Not the madman then. So what had made Moshe so irked?
Moshe skimd through the report with the sa single-minded focus as when he was reading through a million dollars contract. Kaede pondered in confusion. What was so interesting about this man to have Moshe so invested in him? Alright, he was strong, had a unique fighting style and maybe... he was a bit more attractive than ordinary. But it still didn’t an anything!
"Has he woken up yet?"
"No." Kaede replied automatically. "The doctor has advised us to put him to rest until tomorrow morning at the least. He almost died, Boss."
There it was, the irritated twitch on the corner of Moshe’s brows.
"Do you want
to wake him up?" Kaede guessed.
Moshe looked at him as if he had lost half a pound of his brain. "You just said he almost died. So what are you disturbing him for?"
I am just asking because you look impatient! Kaede cried out silently, aggrieved.
"Hmm..." Moshe’s eyes raked through the words in the report almost greedily. Aiden. 23 years old. An orphan with a nine years old little sister, Cheryl. Nothing noteworthy, nothing significant. So why did he feel so intrigued by this man’s very existence?
Moshe felt as if sothing had gone wrong with him... Yes, it started right after he first laid eyes on Aiden. He felt irritated, vexed and fretful without a clear reason. Even venting it on carnal activity didn’t help much. It made everything worse actually because rather than the flushed, delirious face of his toy, he found himself rembering another man’s bloody face, his chapped lips and his striking silver eyes again and again...
His eyes landed on Aiden’s formal photo and he snorted. He looked so ordinary in it — almost ugly, even — that it didn’t do the real person any justice.
Moshe was suddenly filled with the urge to see that face once again. And Kaede said he was still unconscious so... when would be better than now?
He placed the report on his desk for future reference before pulling out a shirt from the cabinet. "Tell soone to bring his sister here. And one more thing," he glanced toward the partition screen. "Bring him back and sever the contract. I don’t want to see his face around here anymore."
Kaede closed his gaping mouth and saluted. He knew better than to question Moshe’s demands. "Yes, sir!"
Kaede waited until Moshe went out before he rounded the partition screen to see a naked man tied to the king sized bed, naked with multiple red streaks all over his body that looked almost brutal. "Mmm–mmm!" The man writhed, his cock curving upward against his stomach, wet and leaking. Huge eyes blinking pitifully at Kaede.
Unfortunately, Kaede wouldn’t be Kaede anymore if such a cheap thing could sway him. He clicked his tongue in pity and pulled the gag out of the man’s mouth, hastily throwing it to the nightstand in disgust.
"Get up." He ordered as he unlocked the cuffs. "I will give you five minutes to get your ass out of here. You hear Boss, right? I will send you ho and if you still value your life..." He bared his teeth in a wide grin. "Then you’d better be smart and forget everything that has happened here."
