Chapter 116 Chapter 38: Princess Knight Gwendolyn
Lucifer was walking beside Gwendolyn, who got the rest she needed—when he entered her room, it was a ss with clothes everywhere, but now she wore both her normal chainmail dress with her elegant clothes borrowed from the Lady of Blatolia.
"Will you remain beside until the end like always, Lucifer?"
"Even if you pushed away."
"Haha... I am so blessed; if only we could just travel without this happening."
Honestly, her face said this, but when fighting or saving people, her face bead with delight, and so Lucifer decided to play on those feelings, not wanting her to forget the kind of person she was when left alone.
"But you shine so beautifully in battle, and it's quite fun to experience these things beside you."
Her eyes looked stunned as she smiled brightly, suddenly stopping our pace along the corridor—Gwendolyn began to check his face, sniffing his neck as if that would show whether he was telling the truth or not.
Ah, she's so cute... look at her nose flaring as she has forgotten the purpose and is now just sniffing the scent of my blood!
"Hmmm... then maybe it might be fun to continue, or do you just want to have lewd tis with a princess knight?"
Gwen's eyes flashed as he grabbed her waist; the maids who were walking past blushed as they started to kiss, nothing too obscene as they sucked on each other's lips, her scent flooding his nose while feeling her arms gripping his back tightly.
"Nnnmh..... Lucifer..."
"Gwen..."
"Ahem... Sorry to disturb your powerful display of affection, Princess Gwendolyn and Sir Lucifer."?Alia said with a soft voice, her eyes looking to the windows with a faint hue of pink on her cheeks as the pair continued to kiss even after her words, only parting when five minutes had passed.
"You two... really are passionate."
"Ah... she is the most lovely wife in the world."
"Fufu, you are the best husband in existence."
"..."
With an awkward face, Alia just smirked with a slight twitch as the trio headed towards the eting room.
The etings needed to reach an agreent before they could progress.
Lucifer entered alongside Gwen as the nobles bowed politely to her... His crimson eyes spotted Alia whispering to the young maid sitting, who saw him and Gwen in bed together in the morning...
Seeing a tinge of red on both of their faces caused him to smirk slightly... before his gaze rested on a female mage dressed in leather clothing with a scar on her attractive face... her purple hair matched Alia's, but Lucifer could tell from her features she must be the eldest daughter of Lady Alia Nightshade.
Hmm... the eldest daughter is a mage... and a damn fine one at that. I can feel her mana undulating within her body!
Lucifer examined the mage, who didn't hide her curious gaze at Gwen, but upon noticing him looking at her, she rolled her eyes... and mouthed the words "bad guy." before pulling out her tongue, causing him to hold in his chuckle before shaking his head, focusing on the eting—but Alia sighed, seeing his gaze on her daughter...
A naughty girl...
She knew that her daughter was too rebellious and acted out, causing her to leave ho... and co back with that scar, but now she insisted on joining the princess and Hero on their journey.
Damn brat... she is too similar to ... Alia Nightshade thought before greeting Gwen and Lucifer...
This eting needs to progress!

Inside the large hall, many nobles were seated and talking about various topics—so spoke about the benefits and how they would gain fa, money and power by supporting Gwendolyn Argentus, the lost princess and firstborn child of the current King.
They insisted she stay in the capital or Blatolia, which led to the religious nobles who supported the church whom Serena had clearly spoken to—they would argue she was the Heroes knight as well as the princess, not to ntion the two were married.
Each noble had their agenda as Gwen and Lucifer just sat beside Alia Nightshade, listening to their argunts...
"Lady Alia, don't tell you support the princess leaving Blatolia... as the Hero needs her support and strength!" A fat man with a bald head argued loudly while another male with blonde hair and brown eyes sneered.
"Blatolia is not a cage to lock away the princess—you speak as if she is a tool!" Alia's body crackled with lightning, causing the fat man to tremble.
"If she is left here, how long before soone sends an assassin to kill her? She is beside the kingdom's strongest warrior, the Hero! Then there is Countess Layna, from the family of highly valued sword masters, and she aims for the rank of High Paladin! Do you truly believe the idea of a Princess Knight helping the kingdom and the world as a Hero's party mber won't spur the public to support her rule?"
Alia argued calmly—her purple eyes glancing at Gwendolyn, who seed surprised at the amount of support and attention she gained before Lucifer squeezed her hand, causing her to look at him, realising they were here for her.
"But Countess Alia, what about the church... the current king is ill and unable to speak, leaving the demi-goddess Celestina in charge of the capital!"
"There are two bishops with the princess, and she has the support of the true goddess. Do you really think trusting that demi-god will be worth the benefits!?"
Many nobles argued—Alia's eyes seed to flash as Gwen's eyes beca determined... Lucifer squeezed her hand tighter as he understood she finally realised...
This is the path she chooses...
"I thank all the lords and ladies who support to take my father's throne. However, I wish to give my voice and not beco so pawn who has to worry or cower on my future throne."
Gently, Gwendolyn stood up, her eyes gazing at the nobles with a piercing and powerful light not losing to even the most seasoned doubters, as she let Lucifer's hand slip away and stood forward.
"I will not remain a re princess in a tower, even if it ans losing my sovereignty. I will follow my husband, King Hero, into battle, defeating the lords that threaten our realm, genuine threats that make the civil war a joke! We have already defeated one such enemy; my husband and our party and the valiant Rinvale warriors have defeated the diva of blight!"
It seed due to the restructuring that many nobles still didn't know this, as even the fat noble's eyes changed—he suddenly began searching through his pile of parchnts and saw the relevant details, his eyes widening as he read the power and achievents of the princess along...
"A silver angel with divine light..."
Imdiately, before Gwen realised what had happened, the fat noble stood from the table; stepping back, he gave a deep bow to the princess, Lady Amalia and Lucifer before speaking his changed thoughts. "Princess Gwendolyn Argentus, Hero Lucifer... I, Lord Jero Brown, pledge my allegiance to the princess and Hero! May the goddess bless us! Forgive my unpleasant words and lack of insight to check all the details and facts... My brother is the Lord of Rinvale, and I have confird your words... Our Divine Lady Gwendolyn, my Marquis title is for you and your father's service."
Suddenly, all the nobles were shocked... the Marquis Jero Brown was known to be hard-headed and never admitted his faults... Yet If he pledged... then it ant that the kingdom would leave them behind if they didn't join...
Alia smiled, seeing Lucifer look at her—the middle-aged woman winked before speaking softly. "This is the power of your actions, Hero."
Lucifer just smirked before looking at Gwendolyn... He was proud of her ability to stand on her own—in the ga, Gwen Argentus was always passive and allowed the Hero to lead... and died in a dark corner alone...
But now, she was standing on her own and choosing a path, one that was dangerous, but it was her choice... and he would support her with his spear, body and soul.
"Thank you, Lord Brown; I shall not forget your loyalty."
Gwendolyn Argentus smiled as Jero Brown's eyes widened before nodding... He seed to expect punishnt, but Gwen wasn't that kind of woman; she punished those who deserved it, and Jero had stated fair, logical points before.
"Now... I do not plan to force you to follow , and my priority is just to help my father recover while I clear the kingdom's threats with my husband. Anyone who wishes to remain neutral, I will not punish or force you to follow ... I just ask that you allow safe passage and support my father's recovery."
Gwendolyn Argentus spoke firmly—Alia smiled before standing up with Jero Brown—and many other nobles as they bowed to Gwen before speaking, "We shall send our dical mages and knights to the capital to help defend the royal family and assist in the king's recovery."
The eting suddenly ended as more than eighty per cent voted to support the current King AND his daughter Gwendolyn's future ascension alongside the Hero as her spouse.
In the darkened room, only Lucifer and Gwen remained as she sat on the lord's seat with watery eyes... "even if I have mories of my past life, I lived the life of Gwendolyn... I am Gwendolyn as much as I am Alicia... finally, I could do sothing for father..."
She turned to Lucifer as the first tears began dripping down her cheeks before hugging him tightly... "Thank you, Lucifer... Thank you for giving this chance to save my father and fulfil my dream."
Lucifer stroked her blonde hair as she cried—his eyes showed his resolve and love before he whispered in her ear, "Gwen Argentus, will you marry again in this lifeti as my princess and future queen?"
"Yes!"
A single answer before her soft lips kissed his, the pair forgetting the place, only focusing on each other's presence...
Lucifer Argentus and Gwendolyn Argentus would eventually set off for the capital... ready to et the demi-goddess Celestina, save the King and protect the innocent citizens from the monsters and the wicked nobles seeking to ruin the kingdom.
But for today... They would spend the evening alone... wrapped in each other's love and passion.
In the darkness, as their clothes began to fall to the ground, her soft voice sounded.
"I love you, Lucifer, never leave my side... with you. I feel I can achieve anything."
