Chapter 85

“What are you doing?”

“I’m on my computer. Why did you co in? Get out. Get out now.”

“Little kid, do you enjoy using the computer without any clothes on?”

This is my bedroom; I can do what I want. Why do you care? Also, why are you here, you shaless old woman?

Tao Xiaoyao quickly moved to his computer and stared at the files, feeling sowhat confused. There truly seed to be a restriction preventing her from seeing the contents.

Apparently, her daughter had also read the journal but found it blank.

This unsettled Tao Xiaoyao. If she hadn’t known the plot, she couldn’t accept it either.

Though she’d once entertained the idea of herself and her daughter being linked with soone, anyone who tried would be swiftly dealt with by Tao Xiaoyao. But if it truly happened, she’d find it very uncomfortable.

Forget it, she’d figure it out when it happened. Right now, she didn’t have any reason to get close to Ye Aotian. If Ye Aotian sought her out, she’d decide then.

[But what does any of this have to do with ? In any case, the school has an antagonist who clashes with the protagonist; it’s part of their storyline. I’m just playing a minor role. Though that antagonist might approach .]

[But that person has a short life span, so it’s aningless. He’ll only appear briefly and then die, though that’s all due to my orchestration.]

[His na is sothing like Lang Qingfeng. It sounds pretty cool, but he can’t beco a major antagonist. No kidding, villains have rankings, and only a villain like can laugh till the end.]

Chen Fan finished his journal, smiling contentedly as he waited for the reward to arrive.

[Ding! Congratulations, host. You’ve made successful diary entry. You have received Great Achievent in the Great Compassionate Palm.]

Oh wow, this move is powerful. From now on, when I slap soone, it’ll count as an act of great compassion. This might co in handy; slapping others occasionally is kind of fun.

anwhile, after reading the journal, Tao Xiaoyao made a silent decision.

“Chen Fan, I have sothing to handle. I’ll be going out for a while.”

“Yeah, go. Better if you don’t co back.”

Heh.

Tao Xiaoyao left, randomly picking up a phone and calling so acquaintances.

“Demon, I didn’t expect you to call us.”

“I need a favor. Make soone leave Qincheng. For any reason, it doesn’t matter if he dies.”

“Just that? Easy. How long, how far, and where should we dump him?”

“Far enough. Preferably send him off to the coal mines. His na is Lang Qingfeng, a student at Qincheng dical University. I want him on a ship within an hour. That simple.”

Chen Fan finished getting dressed, sat down for breakfast, and enjoyed the peaceful start to his day off. The plot would continue, but he wouldn’t be involved unless Lang Qingfeng sought him out. The story here was simple.

Lang Qingfeng, as a top student in dicine, held a prominent role at school. However, Ye Aotian’s arrival completely shook his position, making Lang Qingfeng uncomfortable enough to retaliate by sabotaging Ye Aotian’s experints and exams, even trying to get close to female leads. In the end, Ye Aotian would beat him up, and things would finally calm down.

But that beating was a setup by Chen Fan; students who got into trouble at school would have to bear the consequences. Without a dical license, the school naturally wouldn’t issue him one.

Chen Fan enjoyed this plot imnsely. After all, it reminded him of his own student days; he sotis thought it’d be nice to go back to school. With his current status, he could easily crush the students there. Sadly, this storyline didn’t involve him, so he couldn’t jump in for fun.

anwhile, Zhu Yeqing finished preparing breakfast and, resting her chin on her hand, looked attentively at her young master. No matter how she looked, he was always so handso, so charming.

Chen Fan avoided looking at her. Since her birthday, she’d grown increasingly unsettling, watching him intently all morning. Even when he showered, she’d ask him eight tis if he needed a towel.

If he hadn’t locked the door, she’d probably have barged in. It was terrifying. This woman, bent on revenge, was terrifying.

Tao Xiaoyao returned, sat at the dining table, and said, “I have sothing to discuss. I seem to have gotten into trouble. Can your family help handle it?”

“My father told to respect you, so solving sothing like this shouldn’t be difficult. Even if you killed soone, it could be managed. What happened?”

What’s gotten into her now?

“I killed soone.”

“And? Aren’t you an assassin? Killing is normal for you. Does this kind of thing require my family’s intervention?”

Tao Xiaoyao replied, “Not exactly. The deceased was a student who had improper intentions toward my daughter, so I found soone to bind him. But on the way, the kid broke free, jumped from the car, and died.”

Chen Fan felt a sinking feeling, staring hard at Tao Xiaoyao.

“Who died? The principal’s son?”

“No, he was a top student, Lang Qingfeng, a high achiever.”

Oh, for the love of …

Chen Fan’s anger flared instantly. “Don’t tell it’s that Lang Qingfeng from Qincheng dical Academy! I can’t handle that. How am I supposed to negotiate with the dean?”

Negotiate? Negotiate with what? Die, let the world explode, start a war, and blow up the Earth.

Lang Qingfeng was dead. The key figure who tied the plotlines together in the campus arc was dead.

How is this plot supposed to unfold? Without this arc, how is the protagonist supposed to et you, encounter those traditional dicine masters, and grow stronger? The heirs he ets in school are essential to his future crew.

So of these people are linked to multiple plots.

Without Lang Qingfeng, how do I step into this story, and how does my company go bankrupt? Without bankruptcy, how do I move to the next stage of powering up the protagonist?

What is wrong with you? Why kill soone? Couldn’t you pick another target?

Chen Fan was utterly exasperated, glaring at Tao Xiaoyao. “You killed him just because he flirted with your daughter? That’s really boring of you. Sorry, I can’t deal with this.”

“I was just joking. Why so serious?”

Chen Fan exhaled, saying, “Next ti, don’t joke around like that. I’m not all-powerful, and neither is the Chen family.”

“I can handle it myself.”

“Wait … so you’re saying you can handle it, but he’s still dead, right?”

“Yes, why? Did you know him?”

Zhu Yeqing ntally applauded Tao Xiaoyao — she was ruthless, taking out a key antagonist before he could even appear.

Chen Fan’s head started aching. Apparently, in the plot, Tao Xiaoyao did kill this kid. But could she not have waited a bit longer? What was the rush?

Just then, his phone rang. It was his father. He answered.

“Was it you who reported Ye Aotian’s stock decline?”

“It was Lin Qingyue. The Lin family probably decided to make the first move.”

“Well done. I wasn’t wrong about Xiao Yue. She knows how to take care of details. How’s the handling on that end?”

Chen Fan replied, “Ye Aotian chose to apply for certification at the dical academy.”

“Qincheng dical Academy?”

Chen Fan confird.

Chen Tianqiang said, “That could be tricky. Regular schools are easier to deal with, but Qincheng dical Academy is tough. The school avoids interference from people like us. It’s hard to have any influence there. Anyway, the stock’s decline doesn’t matter; just have professionals handle it. You don’t need to stay ho anymore.”
