Villain Ch 980. Can't Ruin The Vibe

Martin leaned forward, his earlier skepticism now replaced with cautious optimism. His eyes were sharp, his fingers tapping lightly on the table as he spoke. "We'll need to be ticulous in how we design this. The combat sequences, the dialogue choices, even the environntal storytelling—it all has to align with what we've established about the Devil Emperor. We can't afford to dilute his presence."

Lisa leaned in as well, her voice tinged with excitent that she could barely contain. "And the exclusivity of it makes it even more compelling. It's not just a quest or a side mission—it's an event, sothing that only a handful of players will ever experience. It'll make them feel special, like they've unlocked a secret part of the ga."

For a mont, both Lisa and Martin exchanged a glance, grinning in satisfaction. Their heads nodded in unison, the tension that had been hanging earlier now replaced by a shared sense of accomplishnt. It was a contrast to the initial friction when they had first joined the eting, each with their own strong opinions.

"Oh, this is the first ti I've seen you two get along," Kafra teased from her seat, a smirk crossing her face as she leaned back, arms crossed. "I thought you guys would always have your swords at each other's throats."

The playful jab hit its mark. Lisa and Martin quickly turned their gazes elsewhere, the earlier unity now tinged with awkwardness under Kafra's teasing.

Lisa's face flushed slightly as she pretended to check sothing on her screen, her fingers tapping a little too rapidly on the keys. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

Martin, on the other hand, cleared his throat, his gaze dropping to the notes on his desk as if they had suddenly beco the most interesting thing in the room.

Sensing the discomfort, Allen decided to steer the conversation back to the task at hand. "One question," he spoke up, his voice cutting through the lingering awkwardness and drawing their attention back to the screen. "Do I have to morize dialogue or sothing for this event?"

Martin, realizing the question was directed at him, humd thoughtfully for a mont, his fingers now drumming softly on the table as he considered the logistics. "I don't think so," he began, his tone asured as he glanced up. "But I will give you the outline and the Devil Emperor's full background story for this event.

I trust you can use the right words to convey the character's essence." He paused, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Besides," Martin added casually, his eyes eting Allen's with a knowing look, "I've heard you're a writer, right?"

Allen froze, the casual ntion of his other life catching him completely off guard. His heart skipped a beat, and for a mont, his mind went blank. 'How does he know that?!' The question ricocheted through his mind, the surprise quickly morphing into unease. He hadn't exactly kept his writing a secret, but he hadn't gone out of his way to advertise it either.

The fact that Martin knew—and had ntioned it so offhandedly—made him feel as though soone had reached into his private life and pulled out a piece of information he wasn't ready to share. His eyes darted to Kafra, suspicion flaring up inside him. She had always been perceptive, and he couldn't shake the feeling that she was sohow involved.

Kafra t his gaze with an innocent frown, her eyebrows raised slightly as if to ask, 'What's the problem?' Yet there was a glint in her eyes, a mischievous sparkle that suggested she knew exactly what he was thinking.

"What?" Kafra said casually, her tone light as she leaned back in her chair. "There's no big deal about it, right?"

Allen's mind whirred as he connected the dots. 'It's definitely Emma,' he concluded. His sister must have let it slip during one of their conversations. Kafra, being the information sponge she was, had likely picked up on it and passed it along to Martin in the course of their work.

A sigh escaped his lips, his shoulders slumping slightly as he realized there was nothing he could do about it now. He tried to push the unease aside, reminding himself that it wasn't the end of the world—just an unexpected wrinkle in his carefully guarded privacy.

Feeling cornered, Allen forced a casual smile, trying to play it off. "Yeah, I do a bit of writing on the side," he admitted, his tone light though his mind was still racing.

"Good," Martin replied, clearly pleased with the confirmation. "That'll co in handy. Also, there's another thing we need to discuss, Allen. For this event, you'll need to use a one-ti account. You'll be starting with default equipnt and abilities, just like the winners. It'll help level the playing field and keep the experience as imrsive as possible."

Allen's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "A one-ti account? You an I won't be using my usual character?" The thought of stepping away from his fully equipped Devil Emperor, with all his custom gear and abilities, was a bit jarring.

"Exactly," Martin confird. "The winners will also be using one-ti accounts, so everyone will be on the sa footing. It's important for the integrity of the event. We want to ensure that the experience feels authentic and challenging, even for you. Plus, we'll have so specific agreents with the winners."

Allen's curiosity was piqued. "What kind of agreents?"

Martin leaned back slightly, his tone growing more serious. "Agreents that limit the interaction to within the world of Hell's Gate. The winners won't be able to ask you—or the Devil Emperor—any questions that break the imrsion. Things like, 'Who are you in real life an AI or a person?' or 'What's it like being the emperor?' Those kinds of questions are off-limits.

We want to keep the focus entirely on the narrative and the mission at hand."

Kafra quickly chid in, nodding in agreent. "Oh, I completely agree with that! It'll ruin the vibe if they start asking personal questions that pull you—or them—out of the world we've created. We need to maintain the mystery and the intensity of the experience. The Devil Emperor has to remain a mysterious being."
