Villain Ch 887. Peace Offering

"Fine," Allen said in a casual tone. Instead of placing the box directly into Emma's hand, he walked over to the coffee table and set the box down, opening it to reveal the array of colorful pastries inside. He had anticipated a range of possible reactions from Emma, and he wasn't about to let her put up walls so easily.

As he expected, Emma barely glanced at the contents before resuming her haughty deanor. "I thought it would be better than this," she said, her voice as icy as before. It was as if she wasn't interested in the pastries at all, more focused on maintaining her aloof façade.

Again, Allen held his internal cringe. But this ti, Allen didn't intend to let it slide that easily. 'I need to teach her a bit,' he thought.

With a smooth, almost fluid motion, he picked up one of the éclairs from the box. He leaned forward, closing the distance between them, and popped the éclair into Emma's slightly gaping mouth before she had a chance to react. His face was re inches from hers, his eyes locked onto hers with a playful intensity.

The spontaneity of his actions caught both Emma and Azura completely off guard. Emma's eyes widened in surprise, her heart pounding at the sudden closeness. Azura, watching from the side, felt her own heart skip a beat at the sight. Both won were rendered montarily speechless.

"Don't judge until you try," Allen teased, his voice a low murmur that sent shivers down Emma's spine. He smirked, enjoying the look of astonishnt on her face.

Emma didn't say anything at first. She was too busy blushing furiously, the color rising to her cheeks as she began to chew the éclair. The rich, creamy filling and the delicate pastry lted in her mouth, and despite herself, she couldn't help but enjoy it. She lowered her head slightly, trying to hide her embarrassnt, but it was a futile effort. The pink hue on her cheeks was all too evident.

Allen watched her with a satisfied expression, noting the way she was struggling to maintain her composure. He turned his attention briefly to Azura, who was also staring at him with a mixture of surprise and sothing else—sothing that looked like admiration.

"See?" Allen said, his tone light and teasing. "It's pretty good, isn't it?"

Emma swallowed the last bite of the éclair, finally managing to look up at him. Her eyes were softer now, the haughtiness gone, replaced by a reluctant appreciation. "It's… it's good," she admitted quietly, her voice devoid of the previous coldness.

Azura, unable to stay silent any longer, leaned forward, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Can I try one too?" she asked, her voice tinged with a shy eagerness.

Allen smiled warmly at her, picking up another pastry and offering it to her. "Of course, Azura. I brought these for both of you."

After watching the interaction between Allen and Emma, Azura felt a mix of admiration and a twinge of envy. She wanted to share in that playful closeness, to feel the sa rush of connection. Summoning her courage, she spoke up, trying to sound casual. "Then, can I have the éclair too?"

She hoped Allen would pick up on her hint and feed her as he had done with Emma. But Allen, not wanting to assu too much and still uncertain of the dynamics at play, simply picked up the box and offered it to Azura so she could take one herself. Azura, however, opened her mouth slightly, expecting Allen to feed her.

The unsynchronized gestures left them both in an awkward silence. Kai, who had been silently observing the scene, struggled to maintain his composure, barely holding back his laughter. The situation had taken an unexpectedly humorous turn.

Azura realized her mistake almost imdiately, her face flushing with embarrassnt. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand, trying to hide her mortification. She extended her hand to take an éclair from the box, but before she could, Allen spoke again.

"Do you want to feed you?" he asked, feeling bad for putting her in an awkward position. Allen's tone was soft, trying to alleviate so of the tension.

Azura hesitated, feeling a mix of embarrassnt and a flicker of excitent at the idea. She knew Allen was being considerate, not wanting to cross any boundaries since they had only t a few days ago and were still getting to know each other. She also understood the importance of maintaining a respectful relationship between their families.

"Yes, please," she finally said, her voice barely above a whisper. The vulnerability was in her eyes.

With a reassuring smile, Allen took an éclair and moved closer to Azura. He gently brought the pastry to her lips, watching as she opened her mouth and took a bite.

Indeed, Azura still felt a bit awkward, but Allen's gesture had given her so face, allowing her to recover so of her composure. Allen straightened his posture and smiled as he looked at their faces, pleased with the effect his peace offering had achieved. "I assu my peace offering was successful then," he said casually, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.

Emma's face shifted, her annoyance resurfacing. "Peace offering?" she repeated, her tone half-annoyed, half-incredulous.

"Yup," Allen replied in the sa teasing voice, not missing a beat. "It's important so this frown doesn't stay on your face for too long." As he spoke, he pressed his index finger lightly against Emma's forehead, making her frown deepen montarily before she pouted again, a mixture of irritation and reluctant amusent flashing in her eyes.

Emma's pout made Allen chuckle softly. He knew how to push her buttons just enough to defuse the tension without causing real upset. "I'll go back to my room then," he said, glancing between the two won. "See ya at dinner."

With that, he turned and walked out of the living room, heading towards his room, intending to have his lunch in his room alone.
