Villain Ch 807. Gibberish

Once Jane’s expression shifted from arrogance to disappointnt, Zoe couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt. She knew she had to do sothing to lift Jane’s spirits. "You know, if they make an event at this place, you might not have to wait so long," Zoe offered, her voice laced with optimism. She hoped her words would bring so comfort to Jane in the midst of her disappointnt.

Bella added her own reassurance. "Also, the players will attack this place in groups. Their numbers will be much more than us now," she pointed out, her tone filled with empathy for Jane’s predicant. "They might reach this place faster," she concluded, hoping to ease Jane’s worries.

Vivian chid in with a practical suggestion. "Not to ntion, they might give you so kind of CCTV to find out the players’ movents," she suggested, her voice tinged with optimism. She hoped that the prospect of having so form of surveillance would help Jane feel more in control of the situation.

But Larissa could not help but voice her concerns. "CCTV and stone chambers are surely incompatible," she remarked, her brow furrowed in thought as she tried to imagine the logistics of such a setup.

Allen offered a solution. "Maybe it will only appeared in her user interface," he suggested, his voice calm and asured as he considered the possibilities.

Larissa nodded in agreent, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Oh, you’re right," she conceded.

Jane’s disappointnt lingered in the air like a heavy fog, she let out a long, slow exhale, her breath carrying the weight of her realization. "True," she admitted, her voice tinged with resignation as she stepped down from the throne. "But it doesn’t look like it won’t happen soon," she added.

Allen stepped forward, his hand outstretched in a gesture of solidarity. "Since our adventure is over, shall we go now?" he suggested, his tone gentle yet firm as he reached out to Jane.

With a heavy heart, Jane descended from her lofty perch, her hand finding its place in Allen’s outstretched palm. "Yes," she agreed, her voice soft but resolute as she allowed Allen to lead her away from the throne.

The sound of a small rock falling shattered the silence. Allen’s head snapped in the direction of the noise, his expression imdiately turning serious as he scanned the dimly lit chamber.

A sense of unease settled over the group, the silence around them growing heavier with each passing mont. The small rock falling had been no ordinary occurrence; its sound had reverberated through the chamber with an eerie resonance.

Allen exchanged glances with the others. The gravity of the situation beca all too apparent. Sothing was amiss in the depths of the catacombs, sothing that defied explanation and left them feeling vulnerable and exposed. They quickly realized that a player might have sneaked up here.

Quickly, Allen sprang into action, he summoned his Shadow Barrier skill. With a whispered incantation, a transparent barrier materialized before the door, sealing off the only entrance and exit to the chamber with an impenetrable wall of shadow.

[A barrier has been ford!]

With the barrier in place, the group found themselves suspended in mid-air, their avatars hovering just above the ground as they prepared for whatever danger lay ahead.

As if in perfect synchronization, Zoe called upon her water skill, her hands weaving intricate patterns in the air as she summoned a torrent of water that flooded the chamber, rising steadily but stopping just short of touching them.

At the sa ti, Bella unleashed her thunder skill, bolts of lightning crackling and arcing through the air as they rged with Zoe’s water, creating a deadly combination of electricity and water.

The chamber was engulfed in a maelstrom of elental energy, the air crackling with the power of their combined skills. The water surged and the lightning danced, swirling around them with a ferocity that was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

And then, as if on cue, their enemy revealed themselves, his hiding skill rendered useless by the water and electricity coursing through the chamber. With a flash of movent, an assassin materialized before them, his form illuminated by the crackling light of Bella’s thunder.

Allen’s keen eyes narrowed in recognition. He knew this player, an explorer who road the virtual world in search of hidden treasures and rare monsters to photograph.

The assassin’s body convulsed as the high voltage surged through his avatar, every nerve ending lit up with searing pain. His form was contorted and twisted, wracked by the sheer force of the electrical current coursing through him.

In the blink of an eye, it was over. The assassin’s body went limp, his avatar collapsing to the ground in a lifeless heap.

"Do you think he heard our conversation?" Bella asked, her voice tinged with concern once the assassin’s corpse disappeared.

Zoe turned to assuage Bella’s fears. "Even if he hears our conversation or records it, we’re in hunt mode, rember?" she reminded her, her tone confident despite the lingering tension in the air. "He only hears gibberish and words that have no aning," she explained, recalling the ga’s latest update that had introduced a new level of secrecy to their conversations.

It was a relief to know that their words were safe from prying ears, at least when it ca to other players. The developers had implented the feature to prevent players from eavesdropping on their strategies during hunts.

Bella’s expression softened as Zoe’s words sank in. "Ah, I forgot about that," she admitted, a faint blush coloring her cheeks as she realized her montary lapse in mory.

With the reassurance that their conversation had remained private, Allen wasted no ti in steering the group toward their next course of action. "Let’s go back now," he suggested, his voice firm with resolve. "There’s nothing more we can do here."

Nodding in agreent, the group followed Allen’s lead. He summoned a portal back to safety. With one last glance around the chamber, they stepped through the portal.
