Villain Ch 782. Eerie Giggle

Arcana’s curiosity about Allen’s prowess in battle wasn’t easily quelled. He wanted to understand what made Allen so exceptional, especially in the face of such formidable foes. He couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Allen’s abilities than t the eye.

"Yeah, I rember that," Arcana began, addressing Allen directly. "But that doesn’t explain your ability and how you can deal with those monsters so easily. You’re alone out there, and Greatest Healer only brings out a bit of his buff skill to support you.

Your barrier only breaks once, while ours broke three tis." The repeated breaches of their barriers highlighted the stark difference in their experiences during the battle.

Red_King chid in, adding to Arcana’s observation. "Four tis," he corrected, prompting Arcana to nod in agreent.

"Four tis," Arcana repeated in an emphasized tone. He turned to Azura, seeking confirmation from their fellow fighter. "Not to ntion Valkyrie also tried to copy you, but she couldn’t," he said, referencing their teammate’s failed attempt to emulate Allen’s success.

Allen took a mont to exhale, gathering his thoughts before responding. "You see, being a lone fighter really affected ," he explained, his voice calm and asured. "When I go hunting alone, I can’t rely on anyone but myself, and in so cases, I can only utilize my own resources and adapt my fighting style to my opponent."

His words resonated with the group, prompting them to consider the unique challenges faced by a solo fighter. While their reliance on teamwork had its advantages, Allen’s ability to thrive in isolation showcased a different kind of strength—one born out of necessity and honed through countless battles fought alone.

Bored Hunter’s admission elicited a nod of understanding from his companions. "Makes sense. That’s what a solo player should do," he humd, acknowledging the validity of Allen’s approach.

However, Red_King’s pointed question directed at Bored Hunter shifted the focus back to their own dynamics within the group. "Then why don’t you act like him too?" Red_King questioned, his tone laced with a hint of challenge. "You always said that in the guild chat—that you will be the greatest solo player."

Bored Hunter’s expression faltered slightly, his lips curling downward as he mulled over Red_King’s words. "Hey, I’m trying!" he retorted, his voice tinged with a mix of defensiveness and determination. Despite his bravado, there was a hint of uncertainty in his response, reflecting the internal struggle he faced in living up to his own aspirations.

anwhile, Azura listened attentively to the exchange, her thoughts wandering to the strategies employed by her teammates, particularly Allen. "I wonder if I should take up throwing knife skills too," she mused aloud, voicing her contemplation. The idea had been sparked by Allen’s consistent use of the skill in their battles.

Throwing knife skills were often overlooked within the assassin class, deed inferior due to their relatively low damage output. However, Azura recognized the potential utility of such a skill, particularly in creating distractions and disrupting enemy formations—a valuable asset in the heat of battle.

Before the conversation could delve further into tactical considerations, Allen interjected with a reminder to refocus on their mission. "We should move again," he urged, his voice cutting through the chatter. "There is a lot we have to explore."

They resud their journey through the Haunted Forest. The group advanced cautiously, their senses on high alert for any signs of danger lurking amidst the dense foliage. With each step, the looming shadows of the trees seed to close in around them, casting an eerie pall over their surroundings.

Their progress was soon impeded by the appearance of more werewolves, their hulking forms erging from the shadows with nacing growls. Yet, unlike their previous encounter, the werewolves now approached one by one, allowing the group to tackle them with greater ease. With practiced coordination, they swiftly dispatched each foe, their movents fluid and efficient.

However, despite their prowess in combat, a new challenge presented itself in the form of the forest’s labyrinthine pathways. The Haunted Forest map remained shrouded in darkness, revealing nothing of the terrain that lay ahead.

With each twist and turn, they ventured deeper into the unknown, relying solely on their instincts and the occasional glimr of moonlight filtering through the dense canopy above.

Navigating the uncharted territory proved to be a daunting task, fraught with uncertainty and trepidation. Without the aid of a detailed map, they found themselves constantly on edge, never knowing what dangers awaited them around the next corner.

As the group trudged through the dense undergrowth of the forest, their senses alert to the slightest hint of danger, a sudden sound pierced the eerie silence. It was a sound that seed out of place in the haunting atmosphere of the Haunted Forest—a child’s laughter, light and carefree, yet tinged with an unsettling undertone.

The laughter echoed through the mist-shrouded trees, sending a chill down their spines. Despite its innocent timbre, there was sothing decidedly ominous about the sound, a sense of foreboding that hung heavy in the air.

Their footsteps faltered as they exchanged wary glances, the tension palpable among them. Arcana was the first to voice his concerns. "Did you hear that?" he asked, his voice low and cautious.

Red_King nodded grimly, his jaw clenched in apprehension. "Yeah, I heard it, and I don’t like it," he admitted, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword.

Azura voiced her own apprehension. "I’ve never heard of any friendly monster that laughs like that," she remarked, her voice tinged with unease.

Bored Hunter shuddered involuntarily, mories of past encounters with sinister creatures flooding his mind. "This reminds of the emperor," he muttered, his tone hushed with dread.

Father^Alex nodded solemnly in agreent. "Believe , the emperor’s voice is far scarier than this," he added, his voice tinged with a hint of fear.

Allen, ever composed and level-headed, sought to reassure his team, though a faint smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. "Just prepare yourselves for the new monster," he advised, his tone calm and collected. "She shouldn’t be much further from here."
