Villain Ch 644. Song of Doom

Father Alex’s frustration with Sophia’s distraction grew. He knew she lied and wasn’t fully focused on the task at hand, and he couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of his stomach.

"Yora, we need to stay focused," Father Alex urged, his voice tinged with concern. "We can’t afford to let our guard down, not with the enemy closing in."

But before Sophia could respond, a new threat erged from the darkness. The tanks, retreating from the advancing horde of ghostly soldiers, arrived in the middle of the battlefield, only to be greeted by a chilling voice that sent shivers down their spines.

It was a voice they knew all too well, a voice that spoke of darkness and despair. Just hearing it was enough to trigger fear in their hearts.

"Hail, hail, hail the king. In his darkness, all shall sing," the voice sang, its words dripping with malice. "rrily, rrily, rrily, weep. As the city falls into eternal sleep," it continued, its eerie lody sending chills down their spines.

Father Alex’s face paled as he heard the voice, a sense of dread settling over him like a heavy blanket. He knew what this ant, knew the danger they were facing.

"Oh no..." Father Alex muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. His mind raced as he considered their options, knowing that they were facing the main villain.

A sudden shift in the sky caught the players’ attention. Seven female figures materialized in the air above the battlefield, their presence striking fear into the hearts of all who beheld them. These were the emperor’s most trusted subordinates, each one more powerful than the last.

With sly smiles, the subordinates wasted no ti in launching their attacks on the city walls. Larissa, with a wave of her hand, summoned a swarm of killer bats that swooped down towards the players below. Bella, her eyes crackling with electricity, summoned thunderstorms that rained down bolts of lightning upon the defenders.

Zoe summoned a tsunami that crashed against the city walls with devastating force.

But it was not just the elents that the subordinates wielded against their foes. Shea, with a haunting lody, used her voice to stun the players, leaving them vulnerable to attack. Alice, her form shrouded in shadows, summoned a monstrous creature that lood over the battlefield.

And Jane, with a haunting-like wail, summoned banshees that scread through the air, their chilling cries echoing across the battlefield.

Each of the emperor’s subordinates had been granted new weapons and skills, making their attacks more powerful than ever before.

As if the chaos weren’t enough, a deafening thump echoed across the battlefield, drawing all eyes to the source of the sound. A sense of dread settled over the players as a massive shape lood into view, blocking the path of the retreating tanks.

It was the Behemoth. Its roar shook the ground beneath their feet, sending tremors rippling through the air. The players watched in horror as Behemoth’s massive form towered over them, trapping them in the middle of the battlefield with no ans of escape.

The appearance of Behemoth sent a wave of panic through the ranks of the players. They had already been stretched thin by the onslaught of the emperor’s subordinates and the diversionary tactics of Lust and the Mummy King. Now, with Behemoth blocking their retreat, they were faced with an even greater threat.

Arcana, his voice tinged with urgency, rallied the troops as best he could. "Stay focused, everyone! We can’t let this thing intimidate us!" he shouted, his words carrying over the din of battle.

But despite his efforts, the players’ morale began to falter. The rollercoaster of tension created by the various threats had taken its toll, leaving them feeling overwheld and uncertain. One mont, they were riding high on a wave of adrenaline, ready to face whatever ca their way. The next, they were plunged into despair.

Elio and the tanks found themselves in a dire situation, their eyes fixed on the imposing figure of Behemoth and the devil emperor’s subordinates. Trapped and surrounded, they knew that their chances of reaching the safety of the city walls were slim at best.

"We will fight to the bitter end!" Elio’s voice rang out above the chaos, his words a rallying cry for his comrades. Despite the overwhelming odds stacked against them, he refused to give in to despair. They were warriors, and they would go down fighting if they had to.

But their resolve was tested further as the devil emperor’s laughter echoed through the air. Perched atop Behemoth’s back, he looked down at Elio and the tanks with a smug expression, his deanor infuriatingly casual.

"Yes, fight until your last breath," the devil emperor taunted, his words dripping with malice. "But Gorroc City will still fall into my hands, no matter what you do."

Elio’s jaw clenched in frustration as he glared up at the devil emperor. He knew that their situation was grim, but he refused to give up hope.

"We’ll see about that," Elio growled, his voice laced with determination.

The tanks nodded in agreent, their expressions grim but resolute. They may have been trapped, but they were not defeated. As long as they still drew breath, they would fight on.

A sudden interruption pierced through the chaos. It was a voice, clear and unwavering, cutting through the clamor with a sense of purpose.

"Devil Emperor! Now you show yourself!" The voice, unmistakably female, rang out across the battlefield, drawing all eyes to its source. It was Sophia, her gaze locked on the devil emperor with a steely determination that spoke volus.

The devil emperor turned his attention towards Sophia, his lips curling into a sly smirk. He recognized her imdiately, knowing full well her intentions. Sophia was baiting him, luring him into making her his target once again.

Sophia t the devil emperor’s gaze head-on, her eyes burning with defiance. But to her surprise, the devil emperor’s response was not what she had expected.

"Ah, we et again, Father^Alex," the devil emperor said, his tone casual as he glanced past Sophia towards Father^Alex, who stood nearby. It was a deliberate snub, a clear indication that he had no intention of engaging with Sophia.

Sophia’s jaw clenched in frustration as she realized the devil emperor’s ga. He was ignoring her, dismissing her as a re distraction.
