Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives Chapter 488 Pleasant Surprise
Villain Ch 488. Pleasant Surprise
*Ding Dong*
The doorbell's persistent chi pulled Allen from his hazy morning stupor. Still, his mind was clouded with questions about who could be visiting him at such an ungodly hour. With each step towards the front door, his curiosity mingled with the remnants of his heavy-headedness. He twisted the doorknob and swung the door open, ready to inquire about the early morning commotion.
However, any words he had prepared froze on his tongue the mont his gaze fell upon the unexpected guest, leaving him montarily speechless.
"Huh? Why are you guys here?" Allen blinked in disbelief as he stared at the unexpected visitors, Bella and Alice, standing on his doorstep. He could hardly fathom why they'd be appearing at his apartnt this early in the morning, completely disregarding the security personnel who had accompanied them.
Bella offered a sheepish grin, attempting to explain their impromptu visit. "We just wanted to visit you," she said, her tone almost apologetic.
"I assu you know these two won?" asked the security, gesturing to the won at his side, making sure.
Allen turned to address the security personnel, who seed understandably curious. "Yes, they're my friends," he confird, his expression still a mix of puzzlent and surprise.
The security guard, his curiosity satisfied, nodded and gave a polite, knowing smile. "Very well, Mr. Allen. If you require any assistance or have any further concerns, don't hesitate to contact us," he assured.
Allen nodded, his expression grateful. "Yes, thank you for bringing them here. Sorry for the trouble," he replied courteously.
The security guard waved off the apology with a friendly smile. "No trouble at all. Have a good day, Mr. Allen," he said as he turned to leave.
Allen's head was still swimming with questions, but he managed a polite nod in response before turning his attention back to Bella and Alice. "Alright, so... to what do I owe this pleasant morning surprise?"
Bella and Alice exchanged uncertain glances before Bella, who seed to be the unofficial spokesperson for the duo, finally spoke up. "Can we explain it after we get in?"
"Okay. Co in," he invited, holding the door open wide.
Bella and Alice entered Allen's apartnt, and he closed the door behind them. Before he could inquire about the real reason for their unexpected visit, they began expressing their concerns.
Bella's voice quivered with concern. "Allen, I thought you were dying," she said, her eyes searching his disheveled figure for any signs of trouble.
Alice chid in, her brows furrowed in equal worry. "Yeah, what happened to you? You look like a zombie," she added, her gaze fixing on Allen's tired eyes and unruly bedhead. It was clear he had just woken up.
Allen, still groggy from sleep, blinked in confusion. His eyebrows knitted together into an ugly frown as he struggled to piece it all together. "Wait, why do you think I'm dying?" he managed to utter, his voice husky with sleep.
Bella quickly took charge of the situation, her worry evident in her every gesture. "You promised to text us last night or this morning, but you didn't," she explained, her tone tinged with a hint of frustration.
Allen's confusion slowly gave way to realization as he rubbed his temples, as if trying to shake off the remnants of a night that he barely rembered. "Oh, damn," he muttered under his breath, the pieces of the puzzle slowly falling into place. "I must've crashed out like a log. Sorry, guys. I'm okay, really."
Alice and Bella exchanged glances, relief washing over them as they saw their friend wasn't on death's doorstep. "You better be," Alice warned with a playful smirk, stepping closer to ruffle his ssy hair affectionately. "You had us seriously worried."
Bella nodded in agreent, a soft smile breaking through her initial panic. "Yeah, we thought we'd find you dead or sothing." She let out a nervous chuckle.
"We tried texting you, but it failed. When we called, your phone was dead. We were really worried that sothing had happened to you," Alice provided a more detailed explanation of their concerns.
"Yeah, we thought Sophia had found out you were a young master and ca to your apartnt to kidnap you," Bella chid in, her face etched with worry as she leaned closer to Allen.
"Then she'd ask your father for a ransom or sell your kidney on the internet and marry you by force," Alice added, also leaning in to emphasize the absurdity of their imaginative scenario.
"Okay, that's going a bit too far," Bella said, turning to Alice.
Alice and Bella exchanged glances, their eyes eting briefly in the dimly lit living room of Allen's apartnt.
"Yeah. But who knows?" Alice chid in, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Allen, his head pounding like a jackhamr in the background, couldn't take much more of their chatter. His temples pulsed with pain as he attempted to put his thoughts into words.
"Right," he started with a weary sigh. "First things first, my phone—" He dragged himself up and trudged into his bedroom, where his smartphone lay on the bedside table. He grabbed it and was about to say there was no text or calls from them, but it was died because the battery had run out, so he decided to charge it instead. He returned to the living room.
"Yup, my phone is dead," he admitted, his voice groggy and his forehead creased in pain. "I forgot to charge it last night. But there's no Sophia who ca here, and no kidnappers tried to take ," he added, his words slurred as if he were fighting through the haze of a splitting headache.
Bella tilted her head slightly, her lips curling into a nonchalant smile. "That's good," she said with a casual shrug.
But Alice couldn't resist pressing further. She raised an eyebrow at Allen, a playful glint in her eye. "Yeah, but you haven't explained why you look like a zombie," she added, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Bella chid in with a mischievous grin. "Oh right. You look pale. Did sothing happen? Or did the ghost leave the ga and suck your life essence last night?" Bella had a penchant for weaving absurd scenarios into everyday life, and her comnt was t with laughter from Alice.
Allen couldn't help but join in the laughter despite the throbbing headache that had plagued him. "Now you're starting to sound like Jane if she reads too many horror stories," he said, shaking his head in amusent. "I'm fine, really. Just a little sick," he reassured them, his voice laced with a hint of fatigue.
