Villain Ch 2000. The Sa Pressure

The caras zood closer on Azura's face. She didn't blink. Didn't flinch.

The lights on the arena floor dimd again as countdown tirs appeared in bold white font on the screens. The tension tightened in the room like invisible wire. Everyone leaned forward a little more, including Allen.

From this height, the arena glowed red and gold under the fake skybox. The floor pulsed like a heartbeat. You could almost forget it was code. That this was all part of a ga.

But Allen didn't forget.

Not for a second.

Because he knew the edge they all danced on now.

The line between reality and play.

Between pretending to fight and actually bleeding for sothing that mattered.

Allen watched the screen.

Watched Azura move with clean, lethal precision across the stone floor of the arena. Her silver hair flashed in the lights as she spun, ducked, slashed through her opponent's guard like it was paper. Her coat flared behind her like a cape, the sharp indigo and platinum trim catching fire under the do lights. She was beautiful. Ruthless. Composed.

Her Nightshade Master loadout hit hard. Traps, shadow blinks, delayed poison effects that stacked over ti. But it wasn't just her skills.

It was her presence.

The crowd knew it. Felt it. Even the caster's voice had shifted in tone. Like they weren't sure whether they were narrating a ga or witnessing sothing closer to divine choreography.

Allen watched her take down her third opponent in under six minutes. The match wasn't over yet, but it was close.

He didn't move.

Not even when the suite behind him shifted. Champagne glasses clinked. Snacks crunched. Zoe murmured sothing dry to Bella about how Azura should do their taxes if she was going to keep destroying people this efficiently.

Allen's gaze drifted, just briefly, to the side of the field.

There.

In the side-zone rest platform, waiting for his next match…

Elio.

Eyes closed. Legs crossed. Hands resting loosely on his knees. ditating like a monk in the middle of a digital warzone. His jacket still clung with sweat. The lighting hit him from the side, casting long shadows across his face. But his breathing?

Steady.

Calm.

Too calm.

Allen frowned, just a fraction.

Because he knew what that ant.

That guy wasn't resting.

He was sharpening.

Inside. Quietly. Silently.

Preparing for sothing.

Allen could feel it in his chest.

A slow, spreading pressure.

Like hot glass beneath his ribs.

He hated how familiar it felt.

It was the sa pressure from two years ago. That sa sensation before his first solo finals. The lights. The crowd. The devs announcing his na. His screen flickering into full arena mode. The world waiting to see who would rise, who would fall.

He'd won.

Crushed them.

And now?

Now it was different.

Because now the world didn't know he was the final boss.

Not yet.

But that hunger in his chest?

It wasn't just Elio.

It was his too.

That craving to be seen.

To say it out loud.

To show it.

To drop the mask and let the world know, the Devil Emperor isn't so AI. He's not a random lore-drop or a scripted endga event.

He's real.

He's right here.

And his na is Allen Goldborne.

"Y'know…" Mila's voice ca from behind him again, soft but curious. "If they added a final battle with the Devil Emperor as the surprise boss? That'd be perfect. Like, no joke. That would break the internet."

Allen didn't turn. He let her talk.

"I an, I saw the teaser poster," Mila went on, folding her arms under her chest as she leaned forward between the backrest and Allen's shoulder. "The devs said sothing about a surprise match. A bonus event. And I know there are rumors that you are gonna fight in it. But honestly?"

She glanced at him. Then back at the screen.

"If the Devil Emperor is the main villain of the whole ga, then he should be the final fight. Like... the real deal. The showdown. Where the winner gets to say they kicked his ass. That's how stories are supposed to end, right?"

Vivian smirked from the other side of the couch, where she was sprawled like a cat in silk. "Don't worry about that."

Mila blinked. "What?"

Vivian stretched lazily. "They'll get it. All of them."

Mila frowned. "Wait—"

Jane tilted her head thoughtfully. "Mila… sweetie. The Devil Emperor isn't an AI."

Mila let out a short laugh. "What? Yes, he is. He's like... he's coded. Obviously. I an… no human can do that. That perfect. That fast. He's literally flawless. If he were a player, that would be unfair."

She kept laughing softly, assuming it was just a joke between them.

But the room was quiet.

Too quiet.

Allen finally turned his head.

Smiled.

Soft.

Too soft.

"No, Mila," he said, voice like velvet. "The Devil Emperor's never been an AI."

There was a pause.

Mila stared at him, confused.

"You're... joking?"

Allen tilted his head. "You're dating him."

The silence hit like a second explosion.

Mila's mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened again. "Wait. Wait what."

Zoe leaned forward, totally calm. "He's not joking."

Alice pressed a finger to her lips and giggled. "Don't worry. He won't bite us."

"Unless you ask nicely," Bella added with a wink.

"I—" Mila blinked furiously. "I'm sorry. No. No no no. That's not possible. That's not fair. That's—wait, that's you? The Devil Emperor is you? Like... the big horns and wings and the second phase when the whole arena turns black ?"

Allen just smiled. "Yeah," he murmured. "You weren't supposed to know yet."

"You voice-acted that whole monologue about despair and 'kneel before , mortals.' That was you?"

"Pretty good delivery, right?" he said, casually sipping his water.

"I slept with the final boss," Mila whispered.

Jane choked on her drink.

"Oh please," Alice said. "We all did."

"More than once," Larissa added flatly.

Zoe raised a hand. "On his desk."

"On the hot tub ledge," Vivian said.
