Capítulo 1930: Manipulative

Villain Ch 1930. Manipulative

“Because she wanted sothing from you,” Vivian said. “And people like her don’t care who they drag down to get it.”

He didn’t reply.

Because he knew she was right.

And maybe that’s what burned the most.

Not the lie.

Not the fake video.

But the fact that, sohow, even after all this ti—he still hadn’t done a damn thing, and people kept using his na like currency.

“Allen.”

He looked at her.

Vivian’s eyes were steady now. Clear. “You’re not the sa guy anymore. You know that, right?”

He nodded once. “Yeah.”

“Then act like it.”

His throat felt tight. But he nodded again.

The van rumbled quietly along the mountain road, dipping into the early afternoon glow as the pine trees thinned and the outline of the city started to rise on the horizon. The mountains, wild and untad, began to slip into the rearview mirror—just like the warmth of the villa, the sll of hot springs and morning coffee, and the sweet chaos of eight ridiculous won sleeping tangled around him.

Allen leaned back into the seat, still staring at his dimd phone screen. His reflection ghosted faintly in the glass—tired eyes, tight jaw, but steady now. Sharpened.

“…Let’s see what happens next,” he muttered finally.

Vivian blinked at him. “You’re not posting anything?”

“Not yet,” Allen said. “If I jump out now, everyone’ll think I got baited. Like they lured out of the shadows with just one scandal. Can’t make it look like that.”

Vivian tilted her head. “So… wait too long and it looks like you’re hiding. Respond too fast and you look petty?”

“Exactly.” His fingers drumd lightly on the phone’s back case. “It’s timing. I wait for the pressure to build a little. Let people talk. Let them dissect. Then drop one clean statent when everyone’s looking.”

She gave a slow, impressed whistle. “Manipulative bastard.”

He smirked. “Cos with the trauma.”

Vivian leaned back, pulling the neck of his T-shirt.

Allen shifted the conversation. His tone sharpened. “This might affect Goldborne’s rep.”

That made her sit up a little.

“Which ans my silence isn’t just personal. It becos corporate. Political.” He scratched his jaw. “That’s why this can’t drag.”

Vivian studied him quietly. “So… you decided to help Liam and Darren.”

Allen didn’t answer right away.

Then, “Yeah.”

He said it like it tasted weird in his mouth.

Vivian didn’t push. Just nodded slightly. “Even after what they did to you?”

“I don’t like it,” Allen admitted. “Still rember everything they said. All the tis they laughed at behind my back. The betrayal… that shit stays.”

She didn’t say anything.

He added, more quietly, “But Sophia’s worse. Way worse. At least Liam and Darren had the balls to face the fallout. Sophia’s still playing puppetmaster.”

Vivian nodded. “She’s still trying to control the narrative.”

Allen’s eyes darkened as he looked out the window again. The sunlight washed over his face—golden warmth that didn’t reach his expression. His smirk returned slowly, curling in the corner of his lips. It wasn’t playful. It was dangerous.

“This whole situation,” he said softly, “gives a very, very bad idea.”

Vivian turned her head. “What do you an?”

Allen’s gaze flicked back to her, and that smirk widened—slow, deliberate. He looked like he was halfway between a corporate strategist and a villain in a slow-burn revenge arc.

He leaned in just slightly, voice low. “What does the public know right now?”

Vivian blinked. “They think Sophia’s fighting with Liam and Darren.”

“Exactly.” He tilted his head. “She burned them. Hard. Turned on them. Made them look like degenerates. Lied. Got caught. Now the whole community knows there’s heat between them.”

“…Okay,” Vivian said cautiously.

Allen’s smile didn’t fade. “So, tell . If one day… Sophia just disappeared—gone, offline, no contact, ghosted—who do you think the public would bla?”

Vivian stared at him. Eyes widening slightly.

She didn’t answer.

She didn’t have to.

But eventually, she whispered, “Them.”

He nodded. “Exactly.”

Vivian’s jaw tightened. “That’s cold.”

“I know,” Allen said. “That’s why I’m not doing it… unless I absolutely have to.”

She exhaled. “Okay, but—like, define have to. Because you’re scaring a little.”

Allen looked at her again. “I don’t want to go down that road, Viv. I really don’t. I’ve already done more revenge than I care to admit. I’m just saying… if she tries to twist this again, if she keeps baiting, keeps pulling strings…” He shrugged. “There are paths.”

Vivian let the silence stretch. Then nodded slowly.

“Still. I think you’re right. A public statent should be enough.”

Allen leaned back again, letting the light catch his face in profile. “We’ve got witnesses. Screenshots. Even people from her new circle already jumping ship. Sophia looks unstable. She is unstable. I just need to make sure my words hit hard enough to close the door for good.”

Vivian leaned her head back too. “Think she’ll try to talk to Liam and Darren again?”

“I want to see what she says,” Allen replied. “Because if she even tries to turn it around…” He chuckled, dark and quiet. “Well. That’ll make my job even easier.”

Vivian gave him a sideways look. “You’re enjoying this.”

“No,” Allen said. “I’m just prepared for it now. I spent too long being the naive one. Hoping people would just… not be garbage.”

“Yeah, well,” she sighed, “welco to the top. Everyone wants to climb you or cut you.”

Allen chuckled under his breath, then looked at her—really looked at her—and smiled.

Not the dangerous kind.

Not the fake one.

Just a small, honest one.

“…Thanks for listening.”

Vivian nudged his knee with hers. “You’re still my favorite villain, Allen.”

He let his head rest back against the seat again. The weight of her against his shoulder. The muted breathing of the girls in the van. The low hum of the engine as they re-entered the city’s edge.

His eyes drifted to the skyline rising ahead.

Back to the world.

Yeah, he was ready.
