Villain Ch 1906. Dostic Tyrant

He nodded once.

Jane said, "Identity?"

Another nod.

Azura murmured, "You’re going to tell them?"

Allen stared into his tea cup. "Eventually? Yeah."

"And if they react badly?" Zoe asked, arms crossed, leaning against the fridge.

He looked up. t her eyes. "That’s my question."

Zoe exhaled through her nose, brushing a strand of damp hair behind her ear. "They will, you know."

"Probably," Allen said. "I an—villain of the ga, right?"

He gave a half-shrug like it didn’t matter, but of course it did. They all knew it. This wasn’t just a PR thing. Not just so reveal trailer with dramatic music and a twisty plot.

It was him.

Allen stretched his arms above his head, letting out a sigh. His shoulders cracked. "Anyway... what are you guys making? It slls like war cris in here, but like, tasty ones."

Shea turned around from the stove, spatula in hand, hips swaying just enough to be noticed. "Lunch," she said simply. "Because you already cooked breakfast, and if we don’t keep up, you’ll keep making us look bad."

Jane glanced up from the tea set with a knowing smile. "He would. He can’t help himself."

Allen smirked. "I like my food edible. That’s all."

Alice shot him a look over her shoulder. "Edible? You’re setting unrealistic standards for mortals."

Azura, still leaning against the pantry wall, added dryly, "Yeah, it’s actually kind of infuriating. You overperform, then pretend it’s nothing. You’re like a dostic tyrant."

Allen blinked. "That sounded like a complint and an insult."

Azura shrugged. "Multitasking."

He walked toward the kitchen island, brushing past Bella—who promptly stole his hand mid-step and pressed a grape into his mouth without asking. "Taste test," she said like royalty. "For my salad. Don’t lie."

Allen chewed slowly. "You put wine in this?"

She smirked. "Maybe."

"It’s noon."

"Lunch wine is a lifestyle."

He gave her a look, and she returned it with practiced indifference while popping another grape into her own mouth.

Jane stepped up behind him with another cup of tea—hot this ti, faintly floral. She held it up without saying anything, and he took it, their fingers brushing.

Warm. Steady.

She never needed to say much. Just being near her was like sitting beside a hearth.

Vivian scooted closer while Allen sipped the tea, one leg swinging lazily as she leaned in. "Want to try my bacon wrap?" she asked. "It’s not technically healthy, but it’s crispy and hot—like ."

He arched a brow. "Are you offering food or flirting?"

"Yes."

He took the bite she held up with her fingers, lips brushing her knuckles just to ss with her. The teasing flash in her eyes was imdiate.

"You keep doing that," she warned, "and I’ll drag you into the pantry."

"That a threat or an invitation?"

Vivian winked. "Depends on if you run."

Zoe groaned. "Can we not flirt directly next to the blender?"

"I’m not flirting," Vivian said sweetly. "I’m providing morale support."

"You’re providing sothing," Azura muttered.

Shea turned from the stove again and lifted a plate—sothing golden and crispy stacked beside a little bowl of chili oil.

"Here," she said. "Fried rice cakes. Garlic, shrimp, and egg. Try it and tell I win."

Allen took the plate as she set it down, and they brushed shoulders. She slled like pepper and coconut oil. Like warmth.

"Do you ever lose?" he asked, sitting down.

"To you? Sotis," she said, lips curving. "But I’m catching up."

She kissed his cheek and left a faint sting of spice where her mouth brushed his skin.

He took a bite.

Crunch. Soft inside. Rich. Just the right kick of chili to wake the tongue but not kill it.

He closed his eyes. "Goddamn."

"Told you," Shea sang.

Behind him, Alice was chopping herbs with terrifying speed. "Soup’s almost done," she said. "No magic, no broom. Just , a pot, and a prayer."

"You okay without magic?" he teased, since he never saw her cooking outside the ga.

Alice shrugged. "Kind of nice, actually. Makes it feel... real."

"You an this isn’t a dream?" Allen joked.

She looked up, t his eyes. "If it is, I’m not waking up."

And just like that, sothing quiet shifted in the air.

It always did with Alice. Her softness wasn’t weakness—it was stillness. A weight in his chest that wasn’t heavy. Just there. Real.

He swallowed another bite of Shea’s rice cake and turned to Jane.

"What about you?" he asked.

Jane looked insulted. "I brewed tea and am currently timing your protein intake. That’s more terrifying than raising the dead."

She handed him a small dish of tofu with pickled greens.

"Eat," she said. "You’ll need the energy later."

"Later?"

She just smiled.

Bella snorted again. "She’s planning sothing."

Larissa finally wandered in from the hallway, yawning. Still in her silk robe, hair like she just walked out of a softcore vampire movie.

"Oh," she said sleepily. "We’re feeding him now?"

"Get in line," Vivian muttered.

"I don’t mind being dessert," Larissa replied, lips curving. "Just saying."

Azura stepped forward finally. Took a spoon from Alice’s board and stirred the soup once. Just to be a part of it. Then turned to Allen.

"You’re really doing this?" she asked.

Allen nodded slowly. "I think... yeah. I can’t keep playing both sides. At so point, they’ll find out. Better it cos from ."

"You’re not worried?"

"Of course I am. But I’ve got you guys."

Azura looked at him for a long mont. Like she wanted to argue. But instead, she just said, "We better not lose you."

Allen didn’t answer. He just stepped forward, touched her cheek lightly, and kissed her forehead.

"You won’t," he said.

She froze for a second. Just long enough to let it sink in. Then she rolled her eyes. "You’re such a manipulative bastard."

"And you like it."

"Unfortunately."

The soup was ready. The rice cakes were plated. The salad was chilling.

It was ssy and noisy. There were elbows bumped and bacon stolen and fingers licked where they shouldn’t be.

Allen watched them all. These girls. This chaos.

His chaos.

He sat at the head of the table with a cup of tea, rice cake in one hand, and Bella curled beside him on the bench like a smug cat. Shea leaned into his side. Vivian talked with her mouth full. Jane corrected her. Zoe threatened to dismantle the blender again. Alice tried to keep order. Azura... just watched.

And Larissa?

She laid her head on the table and muttered, "Worth waking up for."

Allen exhaled. The sound was soft. Almost a laugh.
