Chapter 1588: Boss Monster squads (Magic Castle Bonus)

Villain Ch 1588. Boss Monster squads (Magic Castle Bonus)

They charged.

From the frontlines, it was like running headfirst into hell’s buffet—every flavor of nightmare, screaming and clawing, coming at them with wild abandon. Steel clashed, magic flared, blood flew. If the succubi fight had left them ntally exhausted, this wave was ready to break their bones.

Casualties happened fast.

A dual-blade warrior got flattened under the hooves of a giant demonic stag. A mage was crushed by a rolling spike-beast before she even finished casting Blizzard Storm. Even tanks were dropping like flies—the damage output from these monsters wasn’t fair. Not balanced.

It wasn’t a mob fight anymore.

It was a boss rush.

“MUMMY KING ON THE LEFT!” soone scread.

The ancient undead monstrosity towered over them, its body wrapped in cursed bandages that slithered like snakes. Its mouth didn’t move when it cast spells—it just humd, and skeletal minions burst from the ground.

“BEHEMOTH, INCOMING—RIGHT FLANK!”

The ground cracked as the massive beast stomped forward. Hulking, gray-skinned, with two sets of tusks and a belly that shimred with defensive enchantnts. A full squad tried to stop it. Only half survived the first stomp.

“Is that a fucking Chira?!”

Yes.

Yes, it was.

Wings flapping, snake tail hissing, goat head screaming sothing like a curse, and fire pouring out of its lion mouth. It was flying and lting through their frontlines.

“Oh co on! Is that the Werewolf Lord?”

That beast landed dead center, claws raised, fur slick with magic oil. He howled, and every cursed hound around him got buffed. Critical hits. Speed boosts. Insanity.

Arcana gritted his teeth. “This is bad.”

Elio, not even breaking formation, rolled his neck. “Don’t worry. You know and my team—we specialize in this ss.”

Arcana flicked him a look. “You’ve never fought four boss mobs at once.”

Elio gave a cocky grin as his shield flared. “No, but I’ve fard them solo over the last two weeks. I know all their tells. I tasted their kits. I know how to break them.”

“Who’s with you?” Arcana asked.

Elio motioned.

Gil, blades already out and grinning like an idiot despite the blood on his face.

Erenblade, eyes sharp, already calculating weak points.

Jas, bow raised, aura glowing, muttering curses between arrow volleys.

Noah, dead silent, eyes on the Chira, fletching black-tipped arrows one after another.

And a quiet priestess nad Lain—with short hair, soft eyes, and a glowing book in her hands—stepped up behind Elio.

She nodded once. “I’ll keep you alive.”

Arcana didn’t have ti to argue. “Then go. Clear us a lane. We need to reach that gate.”

Elio’s team broke off instantly, weaving through chaos.

“Gil, stick to my flank,” Elio barked.

“You got it, Cap—OH SHIT!” Gil flipped sideways as a mummy bandage lashed at his face. “RUDE!”

“Eren, tail the Werewolf Lord. You see an opening, you gut him.”

Erenblade nodded, already vanishing into the chaos.

“Noah, Jas—Chira. Focus the snake head first.”

Jas raised a brow. “Why the snake?”

“It buffs the goat. Kill the snake, goat can’t cast.”

“Oh. Sick.”

“I’m shooting the lion though,” Noah muttered.

“Don’t you dare—!”

Too late. Arrows flew.

“WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!”

Lain’s calm voice cut through the yelling. “Area Blessing”.

[You are now resistant to fear effects.]

As if on cue, the Mummy King tried casting Terror Chant.

Nothing happened.

Gil snorted. “Blessed. And based.”

They moved like a machine—chaotic, swearing, possibly unhinged—but efficient. Elio’s shield bashed the Mummy King’s leg, disrupting its cast. Erenblade dropped from above with a critical stab, making the beast stagger. Gil flashed in, dual blades igniting with cursed slayer buffs, slicing a dozen of the bandages mid-air before they could entangle.

The Behemoth roared nearby, and several more players died.

“Tank squads!” Arcana shouted, forcing the other units forward. “We hold the center! Don’t let it crush the mages!”

Azura zipped past him, blades soaked in red-black ooze. “Cover —I’m going for the legs!”

Red_King ramd his sword into a massive plated knight. “Just save so loot!”

anwhile, the Chira shrieked as Jas landed a flaming arrow directly in its goat face.

“BOOM, baby! How’s that taste?!” he howled.

The snake head hissed and lunged.

Right into Noah’s triple-charged Piercing Quiver Shot.

“Sit.”

The snake exploded into purple light.

Gil leaped over a crumbling wall, flipped backward, and landed near Elio. “One down, three to go!”

“Focus!” Elio snapped. “Mummy King’s draining Lain!”

Sure enough, cursed threads were pulling from Lain’s robe. She was struggling, spell channel flickering.

“I got her!” Erenblade blinked behind the Mummy King and jamd a Poison Spike into its spine.

“Did that even hurt it?” Gil yelled.

The Mummy King twitched—then turned, locking onto Erenblade.

“Yes,” Erenblade said flatly, already vanishing again. “A lot.”

Elio pushed forward, shield flaring. “Impact Bash!”

He smashed into the mummy’s leg, stunning it for just long enough for Gil and Jas to combo a Dual Strike and Arrow Rain into its chest.

The Mummy King let out a low, warbling scream—

Then dropped.

“ONE DOWN!” Elio shouted.

“Still two and a half left,” Noah said.

Lain wiped sweat from her brow, murmuring another heal.

“Status?” Arcana called across the chaos.

“Chira’s losing altitude!” Jas called. “We clipped the goat! Firing at the core!”

“Behemoth still rampaging!” Azura snapped. “I’m trying to slow its legs!”

“Elio’s squad, clear the Werewolf Lord!” Arcana ordered. “We’ll hold the Behemoth here!”

They pivoted again.

The Werewolf Lord wasn’t huge like the others, but fast. Blades like claws, glowing red eyes, feral and intelligent. Every ti soone struck him, he dodged or countered.

Erenblade got grazed. Blood sprayed.

Lain shouted. “Pull back—!”

“I’m fine!” Erenblade barked, already backflipping into a new angle.

Gil went low, trying to bait the beast.

“I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but—Jas, hit !”

“What?”

“Just—DO IT!”

Jas aid and fired.

The arrow struck Gil in the shoulder—activating Agony Reflect.

Gil scread, spun, and triggered Pain Echo.

The Werewolf Lord, mid-leap, got caught in the burst.

He flinched. Just for a second.

That’s all Erenblade needed.

“Heartpiercer!”

He drove the sword ho.
