Chapter 1507: New Queen Piece

Villain Ch 1507. New Queen Piece

The staff gestured toward the seats. “Please make yourselves comfortable. He’ll be with you shortly.”

Allen waited until the door closed behind her before he said, “Okay. This is new.”

Vivian slid into the chair across from him, her gaze sharp. She crossed one leg over the other, resting her elbow casually on the armrest. “You think this is just about the modeling gig? Or… also about Sophia?”

Allen leaned back, eyes flicking toward the muted agency logo pulsing on the wall screen. “Both,” he said without hesitation. “The dia’s circling. The whole ‘long-lost young master returns to the Goldborne gaming empire’ headline is everywhere right now.”

Vivian tilted her head. “And Sophia?”

Allen’s jaw tensed for a brief mont. “Mr. Bell needs her gone. She’s been a problem behind the scenes for a while. She blackmailed him. Could be personal, could be business, but either way—he’s trapped. And now, he sees a way out.”

Vivian’s expression didn’t change, but he saw the shift in her eyes. Calculating.

“We’re here to be his exit strategy.”

Allen nodded slowly. “Sothing like that.” He drumd his fingers lightly on the armrest, thinking. “This is chess. And Bell’s cornered.”

“And you’re the new queen piece on the board,” Vivian murmured.

Allen gave a faint smirk. “Let’s just make sure I’m not a sacrifice.”

Vivian nodded once, expression unreadable.

Allen leaned back, fingers tapping once against the armrest.

He didn’t like surprises.

Especially not ones that involved closed doors and re-routed etings.

But he also didn’t back down from them.

Let’s see what Mr. Bell was cooking.

The seconds stretched on just long enough to get annoying. Not long enough to leave, but definitely long enough to make Allen sit forward again, elbows resting on his knees, eyes scanning the muted agency logo flickering lazily on the screen.

Then—heels. Soft steps against the carpet just outside. A second later, the door opened with a faint hiss.

A woman walked in.

Tall. Model-walk kind of tall. Curves that knew they were curves. She wore a cream-colored blouse tucked into a sleek dark skirt, hair flowing down in soft waves that probably cost half the agency budget to maintain.

Mila.

Her gaze locked onto Allen the mont she stepped inside, surprise flickering behind her eyes for a split second before she gave a soft smile. Blush colored her cheeks.

“Hey.”

Allen raised an eyebrow but kept his tone casual. “Hey.”

Vivian looked between them, her voice smooth. “So the rumors are true. They invited you too.”

Mila nodded as she made her way inside and slid into the empty chair next to Allen—graceful, but not without a hint of fumble. Her bag nearly knocked over the stylus pen on the desk, which she caught mid-air with a little “oops” under her breath before smoothing her skirt again.

“Yeah,” Mila said, exhaling. “Jas was curious about what Bell’s planning. And… well, you know Sophia. He thinks sothing’s off. I figured since it involves you…” her eyes flicked back to Allen, softer this ti, “I should co check things out myself.”

Vivian leaned back in her seat, crossing one leg over the other, brow raised. “And modeling for this agency again is just a happy coincidence?”

Mila smiled, not quite sheepish. “I an, I have worked with them before. Not exactly new territory.”

Allen tilted his head. “So? This eting—because the agency offered, or because you wanted it?”

Mila paused, then gave a small shrug, brushing hair behind her ear. “Fifty-fifty.”

Allen gave her a small nod. “Fair.”

She looked around the room, as if just now noticing how sterile it was. “This isn’t Bell’s office though. It’s… weirdly neutral.”

“Exactly,” Vivian said, arms still folded. “Too clean. Too safe. Like it’s been sanitized for a conversation that doesn’t want fingerprints.”

Mila’s gaze returned to Allen again. “So… do you know what this is actually about?”

“So of it,” Allen said. “He hasn’t told us outright, but we think Sophia’s part of it. Bell’s stuck. Whatever she’s got on him, it’s enough to make him bring in and you for damage control.”

“She has reach,” Vivian added. “And Bell’s ego doesn’t like to bleed.”

Mila leaned forward, resting her arms on the table—not subtle, considering what it did to the buttons of her blouse—and looked directly at Allen. “And you? What’s your angle in all this?”

Allen smiled slightly. “My face is marketable now. Timing’s perfect. Bell needs a golden boy, and I’m literally a Goldborne.”

Mila laughed. “Tacky. But effective.”

Vivian snorted softly. “He’s not wrong though.”

Mila bit her lower lip—absently, maybe, but Allen caught the way she glanced at him sideways. “Still, I didn’t think I’d see you here. Not so soon after everything.”

Allen blinked. “After what?”

Mila hesitated. “Just… after the last event, our last eting.”

Vivian didn’t speak, but her glance slid toward Allen with a touch of amusent.

Allen smirked. “Well. Guess I’m full of surprises lately.”

Mila looked like she wanted to say sothing else, but the door opened again before she could.

Not Mr. Bell. Just another staff mber, this one older, more polished.

“Apologies for the wait,” the man said. “Mr. Bell is finishing a call. He’ll be with you shortly.”

He gave a short bow and left as quickly as he arrived.

The silence that followed was laced with tension—not heavy, just thick enough to notice.

“So,” Mila said eventually, tapping her nails on the table, “is this the part where we all pretend we don’t know who’s going to end up in the promo shots?”

Vivian raised an eyebrow. “If there are promo shots.”

Mila leaned her cheek into her hand, smiling like she’d already won. “There are always promo shots.”

Allen sighed and muttered, “You two are gonna make this very complicated.”

Vivian smirked. “You’re the one who brought us both here.”

“Did not,” Allen said. “Mr. Bell did. Well, technically… his problem did,” he said nonchalantly.

Vivian smirked. “True.”
